We tried four different sauce and I wasn't impressed with them. I liked the Dijon mustard the most. The shoestring fries were ok. I thought they would have more rosemary flavor with rosemary salt. I liked Brussel sprouts with ham pieces, right amount of crunchiness and balsamic reduction. The hostess was nice. We chatted with her for a bit. Other than that, we didn't really have much interaction with other staff because they seem busy. I told one of the staff that we're here to celebrate a birthday. Fine dining with fantastic panoramic views over Bondi and towards the city. The main cuisine of choice for this joint is large slabs of meat. Steak is there speciality but they offer a range of other options such as Vegetarian plates, Burgers, Ribs and Sea food too. I have been here a few times and I usually tend to go here when I want a hit of protein in the form of man size steak. On this occasion I was dining with some work colleagues and we decided we would order a few different options in order to get the best of all worlds. We decided to order the Salmon with a baked potato, Sirloin Steak 350gm with steamed Vegetables and the Seafood platter. Like a good team we had every base covered. Before our dinners came out we were provided with Kelly's famous complimentary bread. The bread is really sweet and melts in your mouth and excellent to get you excited for the mains. The salmon was grilled to perfection and the staff even asked how we wanted it cooked. I only recently found out some people like salmon raw on the inside ( still unsure why ! Go for sushi if you want raw fish ). It was beautiful and really fresh. The sirloin was very tender and juicy. The Steaks always come with deep fried onions on the side and the steamed vegetables were just steamed enough and still hard in a good way. The seafood platter was the stand out dish very surprisingly considering that Kelly's isn't known specifically for seafood. The platter was packed with calamari, mussels, John Dory, prawns and all upon a bed of fried rice. The fish was so good it tasted as if it was probably happy swimming in the deep blue sea that morning before making its way onto our plates. The service in this place was very good and the wait staff were easy to be got when ever we needed assistance.
