This place is awesome for many reasons. Plenty of parking. Indoor outdoor seating. Tons of TV's. High tops low tops booths and bar seating. Friendly staff. The food! My go to is chicken Philly with medium peppers. The bread is AMAZING! Daily specials. Never disappoints

We are back here again for drag queen bingo. We brought a friend that happens to be drinking alcohol. She has had a few with pickle backs. When she asked for and extra pickle back and a larger shot.the server (that was swamped i found out) was taking a loong time. Then the bar tender came over and got snippy with out friend saying the drinks are measured and she can only have one pickle back. My thing is if she is PAYING FOR DRINKS then give her her drinks and charge her accordingly.

I've been coming here for a few years. I love their cheesesteaks especially with all the great pepper options. I'm a die hard for their boiled peanuts too. Unfortunately I've not tried their other menu options as I have a hard enough time choosing - to forfeit my favs. I drive over 30 miles to dine here; that's says it right there

Regular Philly Charanns Cheesesteak - The Tampa Original with medium peppers

If you want the absolute BEST Philly cheesesteak in Tampa look no further than Charanns Tavern! I've been a regular at this place since their previous location and let me tell you they never disappoint! You can customize your Philly with sweet, mild or hot peppers and it's so amazing! The bread is always super fresh and if I'm dining in I always get an order of steak fries that are pretty amazing too! Love this place and I love that the quality has stayed the same throughout all these years ! Keep it up Charran's!!

I placed my omelette order just before the 1pm Sunday football games. I sat down to wait for the games to start. At about 1:10 the bartender told me that the cook/manager refused to make my omelette bc he received the order at 1:01pm. I went to speak to the manager and he was a TOTAL PRICK! He refused to make the omelette and did not care if he was losing money. One would think that a (manager) would want s happy customer instead of a now PISSED customer; whom will no longer frequent this GARBAGE bar. I wish I could give a negative rating. Do NOT frequent or visit this bar! Total GARBAGE!

I was so excited to grab some carbs after a few hours in the thrift store next door. It is just the cutest thing inside! The worker was so sweet and patient as I asked questions. I was a bit overwhelmed, but in a good way - they had so many interesting flavors to choose from. Definitely not your average options, with choices ranging from coffee to matcha, rosemary to chocolate chip, jalapeno bacon to cinnamon. I was told all bagels are made fresh daily and they tasted that way, too. We kept them out on the counter for three or four days and they were still soft to the touch. Don't be like me though, I was told it is recommended to saran wrap and freeze, then defrost a bit and bake at 350 after brushing with a bit of water. I did not try this BUT sounds like it would freshen them right up like new. The inside was clean with seating options and I was pleasantly surprised they had so many bagels available an hour before closing. Great place, come show support!

The bagel was fresh, though a little firmer and chewier than I prefer. I ordered a breakfast bagel and would have liked it slightly crisper rather than so dense. I wanted Calabrian chiles, but they were apparently behind the plastic construction area. At the deli, I asked for a half pound prosciutto. They cut over 1lb due to lack of English. OK. I took it anyway so it was not wasted (the domestic was no bueno). It was old and dried out. There was no one at the meat counter, so I had to ask the deli guy to help me. The chicken breasts that were on sale were gatgantuan. I have never seen chicken breasts so large. The wings smelled bad when I got home to package to freeze. I had to toss 10 lbs. The reason I went was for the chicken sale. I am not risking food poisoning. The prices on most grocery items were actually higher than Publix. For specialty Italian items, the selection was just good. I did find guanciale and pancetta. Honestly, I would rather go to Mazzaro's or Moschella's. Their service is much better, and they have much more specialty items, plus they are cleaner and don't sell old nasty food.

The store was busy, as expected during the holiday season, but the staff were efficient and helpful. We were specifically in search of smelts and octopus to complete our "Feast of the Seven Fishes" menu, and we were not disappointed; their seafood selection, like their meat counter, is extensive. The selection of specialty fish, meats, and imported goods at Cacciatore Bros is truly remarkable. The butcher counter, which is a major highlight, offers everything from various cuts of beef and poultry to harder-to-find options like lamb. We couldn't resist picking up some of their house-made spiral Christmas sausage, which is available in several flavors including a delicious special blend with imported Pecorino Romano cheese and parsley. The aisles are stocked with an array of imported Italian items, from every pasta shape imaginable to a wide selection of olive oils, cheeses, and unique condiments. The market also shines with its selection of authentic imported goods, perfect for holiday treats. We made sure to grab some Torrone (a classic Italian nougat confection) and a package of Bellino Savoiardi Lady Fingers to be used for Tiramisu. The store has a great wine selection as well, with options from around the world to pair with your gourmet meal. Our visit to Cacciatore Bros will make preparing our Christmas Eve dinner an exciting and authentic experience. We highly recommend it to anyone in the Tampa area looking for quality and specialty Italian products.

The colorful décor celebrates countries throughout Latin America, with an especially fun collection of license plates. It was good overall, although the bread was a little too crisp for my preference and the sandwich was slightly salty. My wife tried the mangú plate with mashed plantains, fried cheese, and fried salami. It was an interesting Dominican dish and fun to try, though also a bit salty and quite heavy. I'm glad I did and stopped overlooking it sooner, because these subs are good. It may not be in the most desirable area in town, but the store was remarkably clean and the employees were very friendly. They even allowed me to bring my sweet baby Muffin (shih tzu) inside while in her carriage. It's my first time in any Firehouse Subs, so I wasn't entirely sure what I would like. I went with The Engineer because the calorie count (conveniently plastered along the menu) was right where I wanted it, and I love most turkey subs in general. Plus, I thought the addition of mushrooms was pretty unique. I got the pickle on the side and a confetti cookie that I will eat later. (I'll let you know how it is--but anything with sprinkles will be a winner). I was pretty impressed with the quality of the sub. The meat was hot and tender, mixing well with the cheese, and the mushrooms did give it a good unique taste and texture profile like I knew it would. Meanwhile, the veggies in the sub were cool and crisp, making the whole sandwich a satisfying yet refreshing meal. I like how they ask if I would like to round up for the firemen. I realize Firehouse Subs were founded by firemen and they give back, so I said, "Why not?" since it's only rounding out to the nearest dollar. Although I think The Engineer will be my favorite and my usual to get, I'll be sure to try others on my repeat trips.

Both were very well made and beautifully presented As far as the food goes, we got the feta honey cheese pie which was very new to us but was excellent. It was very crispy and flaky on the outside with sweet sticky honey drizzled on top but then warm, melt in your mouth cheese in the middle. The greek salad was very fresh and delicious. We love the potato salad core. We also got the Greek sampler that had a lovely and light feta cheese spread with hummus and tzatziki with peppers and red onions. Very tasty and delicious. It came with a side of pita bread. The main entree we got the Chicken Ala Mykonos Dinner. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. The sauce on the orzo was creamy but light. Everything worked well together and was perfectly balanced. We were so stuffed we brought home three boxes of food. When we were leaving Nick offered us two biscoff desserts to go. They looked so delicious we had to try a sample of it when we got home even though we were completely stuffed. The dessert tasted like a light version of a biscoff cookie.
