I liked the place as soon as we drove up, easy parking, large American and Greece flags flying. While Foodys is primarily a Greek restaurant with all sorts of Greek dishes, it offers much, much more, including sandwiches, pizzas, breakfast, and what I tried, burgers. I'll start by saying the two people with me had Greek dishes, Chicken Naousa and Chicken Souvlaki, and both had positive things to say. If we return someday I will go Greek, as I found my burger a little dry and kind of a challenge. My choice was their Dallas BBQ Cheeseburger with bacon, which I asked to be cooked medium. My plate was full with the burger itself, fries, and separately the usual burger toppings. With the onion rings and the bacon strips, I decided to not try to assemble with the toppings but just include those as I ate. My friend and I have been wanting to try this place for awhile now. So we stopped by on a Sunday evening. When we walked in we noticed how clean it is. Great first impression. Our waitress was very sweet with an outgoing personality. She was the only waitress and stayed on top of her tables. I ordered the Greek pork chops w/salad and she ordered the chicken dish w/soup. Everything was very fresh and yummy. The chops were moist and so flavourful. It came with mash taters and veggies. The chicken was also moist and so good. *they do offer a full bar (I didn't drink) I was very impressed that the owner stepped in to help his staff when business picked up. Looking for something new in Town and Country to go to for lunch and Yelp led me to this unassuming blue building. When we walked in we knew we made a great decision. Restaurant is clean and updated, staff were friendly and prompt. The food was very generous- burger huge and juicy with a huge helping of fries with Feta on top, the Philly was loaded with meat, and the Greek Chicken bowl with Tzatziki sauce was fresh. Been a few years since I ate at Foodys, so it was time for another quick review. This Greek American restaurant is where the old ABC pizza use to be in Town n Country. The inside is great, with multiple bars and TVs and separate seating area that lets you still watch the 6 or so TVs from across the room. The inside was nice and clean, and you have to really appreciate that these days! Staff was friendly and professional, always a good combination. While I've had their pizza before and liked it (few years back), decided to try something a little more basic... Greek salad with chicken, and a Caesar salad with chicken. The Greek salad comes with a small potato salad bed underneath the rest of the salad. I honestly wasn't happy about that, as I like to take bites of the potato salad separately from the rest. This plating method had me digging around and moving stuff in order to get to the small potato salad option underneath, which seemed flattened or spread out versus the typical potato salad scoop / ball I'm accustomed to seeing in these types of salads. It was a good average salad, I give it a 3 star. What could have made it better was more punch to the "Greek vinaigrette" dressing and not having to scavenger hunt the potato salad portion. All ingredients seemed fresh, with standard tasting feta. The added wood-fire grilled chicken was good, and had a nice interesting seasoning on it. I liked it! The chicken Caesar salad had ALOT of lettuce. As it should, but seemed lacking to me in the Caesar category. I will say the croutons were excellent! Overall the salad lunch portions were bigger than normal, so plan to take home leftovers. So to answer the magic question if I'd return or not, yes I would like to give some other items a try on the menu. See if they live UP closer to Greek hype. While I wasn't amazed by the salads we tried for food I give this place 3 average stars, but I feel this place has potential to amaze me maybe with some different entrees. Delicious food that's not expensive. If it wasn't for Yelp, I would have driven past this restaurant forever and never stop. I was looking for a lunch spot nearby and saw this was 13 minutes away with fantastic reviews. We decided to check it out. It was empty other than two other tables on a Monday at 2 p.m. My husband and I had taken the day off so I was interested to see the drink menu. I ended up getting hibiscus mango margarita. It was pretty good, but I will probably try something else next time (I actually think this is a me thing and I didn't really think through the fact that I'm not a hibiscus fan). However, what I really appreciate is all the drinks are made with fresh ingredients so when I asked whether it's made with margarita mix (which I don't like), they told me all of their drinks are made fresh (which is great). The margarita was good overall so next time I think I'll just go for a straight mango margarita or a spicy mango margarita. For $12, it's a great price. Then for our entree I got the gyro bowl and my husband got the dallas bbq cheeseburger and subbed in a caesar salad for his side. The caesar salad was delicious, I would suggest it for a side every time. They didn't have the rice made so they subbed in orzo, which was great. I am interested in trying it with the rice so I'll get it the way it's intended next time, but I don't think the orzo took anything away. The warm pita it came with was so soft an pillowy. I'd order the gyro again. My husband's cheeseburger was superb. It was perfectly medium/rare. He doesn't like onions so next time he should order it without onions, because it was diced and mixed in the cheese/bbq sauce. Otherwise the cheeseburger was top notch to him. This place isn't fancy, but there are tons of TVs that suggest that you can catch the game here. Big parking lot makes it easy to park. The whole meal came out to $50, which was less than I was expecting (not including tax and tip). I would suggest checking this place out. read more

This place was magical, no frills and all. My bestie and I came by while in town based off great reviews and location. It's a diner style spot, super chill. Our server was sooooo sweet and so busy because it was just her. You could tell she was running around the place doing her best. She was so apologetic and still so kind and all smalls. I wasn't sure what to expect based on a couple of rouge reviews, but Foodys Restaurant truly impressed me! It is spacious inside and would be a great spot for a large group. There is ample parking and the staff was friendly and welcomed us as soon as we walked in the door. Hubby had the Mediterranean salad and I had the gyro platter, both were large and an absolute delight. Foodys has an extensive Mediterranean selection, but also has burgers, salads, sandwiches and pizza, I'm eager to return and try a burger - one walked by and it looked incredible! They serve breakfast (yay) so I'll definitely be indulging in their breakfast offerings at some point. Foodys is a solid five -star rating in my book! read more

Came in for breakfast while out doing errands this way.. The joint was practically deserted and it took a moment for the sole waitress to notice us. When she DID notice us, she simply told us to sit anyplace. I wound up grabbing a couple of menus myself and off we went. Queen Bee and I both ordered coffee after we sat; Main dining area looks like it seats round 40 or so. Behind the banquettes there is another decent sized area under construction. It even smells faintly of sawdust in the place. Old B&W photos line the walls and then there is a pseudo tin ceiling and old fashioned light bulbs and fixtures. There's also a mural of what looks like Santorini on the wall of the tray ceiling, as well as a "tiled roof" over the cashier stand too, along with a beautifully tiled floor.. Kinda looks like this place doesn't quite know what it really wants to be when it grows up. Bacon, eggs over medium, home fries and rye toast for Queen Bee, and Philly cheesesteak omelet with hash browns and rye toast for me. Annette, the lone server, kept our coffee cups fairly full too. She was properly attentive without being intrusive. Fairly soft spoken but friendly.at the same time. Queen Bee's eggs were a bit underdone and bacon a lil overdone but still edible. Huge pile of home fries weren't as crisp as she'd like but not a soggy spud pile either. My omelette was quite the tasty, hefty parcel. I first thought they were being chintzy with the ribeye, but I found quite the loaf of it as I came toward the end. Plenty of shrooms, green pepper, onion and provolone for a nice treat. Much like her taters, my hash browns came in a hefty heap. Mine came with a decent amount of onions (I specified onions). They were also a lil underdone but still had a crisp edge. Neither sets of spuds were seasoned very much; salt & pepper took care of that. The oddball star of the show was the rye bread used for our toast. That stuff tasted good, with a decent amount of caraway seeds and a light toast. It was a bit dry, so perhaps asking for it unbuttered and getting butter on the side would help. Each plate came with a small wedge of watermelon. That is a typical Greek touch, as is rice and/or stale saltines in the sugar shaker to keep the sugar from clumping. All in all not a bad feed for but $35 is a stiff price on breakfast for two. It DOES include 3% service charge, which goes away if paid with cash. Since we don't live in the area, I don't see us coming back anytime soon for lunch, dinner or whatever to see what becomes of this place. I asked the other gal working here about the construction. So shetold me they were building a bar area with some more tables/hi tops going in. That also accounts for all the dust in the place: window sills, banquettes, everyplace! Hmmm. Going to hope it all works out for 'em. As it is now, all day happy hour BOGO beer and wine....Lotsa profit in hooch! read more

I can honestly admit this place surprised me. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I really enjoyed the food. I don't think they did much remodeling when they took over from ABC though; the booth I sat in had a lumpy uncomfortable bench seat. I went at lunch time on a Friday and they were doing a good business. They have a huge menu - 3 really - breakfast, lunch, and pizza, plus a special of the day sheet. I went with the gyro platter, served with salad and french fries, and a diet coke. The platter was enormous, and tasty, and I loved that I had enough leftover for a second meal. Service was okay. It looked like they only had a couple of servers, with other people pitching in as needed. It took a while for someone to come take my order, took a while for my food to come out, and took a while when I was done to have someone give me my check. When I was paying at the front I passed their dessert display, and could not resist a piece of white chocolate raspberry cake to go. Went here on Sunday for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. It is a combination diner and Greek food restaurant. Our portions were large and we both had enough food for another meal. I ordered the Gyro and Greek fries and the wife got the Philly cheesesteak with Greek fries. Greek fries as it turns out were just regular fries with feta cheese crumbs on top. They didn't stick to the fries so im not sure I would do those again. I also ordered extra taziki sauce which cost $2.50 which we thought was a bit much for a little extra sauce. Overall the restaurant was clean and the staff were nice but I probably won't be back just because there are a hundred other places that have this type of food a little closer to my house. read more
