We recently went to an early morning breakfast at the Three Coins Dinner. I had been here a couple times before and it is always great. I had a ham and cheese omelette with wheat toast and home fries. We also had some French toast for the table. Everything was real tasty. The diner is open 24 hours a day so that is another plus. I was always told if you don't have anything nice to say then don't. Can't vouch for the food as we left after waiting 15 minutes to be noticed. 10 more minutes to get our drinks and watching the flow of locals not being served or food taking an enormous amount of time to come out if at all. The place could use a good cleaning as the floors are nasty with food and debris and the tables greasy and sticky. Left $10.00 for the two drinks which we weren't even sure the glasses were clean. We ordered French toast for the table and it was amazing! They brought over all the powdered sugar, cinnamon and syrup. My older brother and Mom shared the chicken Parmesan and spaghetti. This place is a Tampa staple...if you haven't been, you should go! My friend got the Club Sandwich with the bacon with potato salad. I got the Turkey and Ham Club with fries. My boyfriend insisted that there are indeed 24-hour diners here in Tampa Bay. We spent New Year's Day at a friends near this diner and he suggested we get a bite to eat here. It is always so nice to be able to park in an actual parking lot. We got a table without any trouble. The soup was so yummy. Went there today to have lunch. I come in and seat myself like everyone else does at this restaurant. I waited over 15 minutes for someone to come over to my table and take my drink order or order, but alas, no one came over or even acknowledged me. I get up and leave and as I passed the wait stand I say thank you for the service and was met with one person saying "I'm not on the clock," and then going back to her phone while the other staff was trying to look busy while there were about 3 tables that had people at them. I previously wrote a rave review however recently I have had 2 orders that were horrible, rude communication written into receipts with no attempt to contact me for replacement request and instructions were completely ignored - most recently was today where eggs were ordered scrambled and sent over light and home fries were not included and when I contacted Uber eats to refund only part of the order I was refused despite sending a photo where it was clear the eggs were prepared wrong. I don't know if this place has changed management but lately my experience has not been good and I would NOT recommend this place to anyone - when u can be so ugly about returning a 4 or $5 credit to a customer it's truly a shame and not a good sign to have any future confidence that they care about customer satisfaction at all- I hope they improve but after back to back battles that have monopolized hours of my time bc directions weren't followed has done me in and I will not be back - it's not about the money as much as it is the principle and there are too many other competitors I can give my money to that will treat their customers Better read more

I arrived around 3am, on 10 Jun to get breakfast. A skinny blond waitress had the audacity to get arrogant and call me names out of my character. I am an independent contractor for Yber, late night. I work between Tampa General and The V A hospitals 11pm to 7am 7 nights per week. I eat, remain on the lot until time for my next pickup or food delivery. She was rude and argumentative when asked to supply napkins in a to-go order. If she was t lolly gagging, in a joking attitude, and taking care of business, she would have put napkins in the bag from the beginning. When the napkins were requested, she became challenging and ridiculously loud. What ever happened to customer service. You do not challenge a customer when they request service, which is her job. I did frequent this diner 3-4 times per week., spending $15-20 per visit. There are atleast 10 other late night food establishments in the Tampa area. I have been a customer here for years. Her attitude and demeanor is that equal to dealing an orangutan. She is racist and boisterous and should not be on the front line. She got loud and condescending when asked for the napkins. The way she conducted herself was very substandard and aggressive. If I wanted to be humored, I would go to a comedy club. A food establishment is not the place for this type of behavior. Arguing with a customer and resulting name calling was very inappropriate and demeaning. Won't be back or bring future guests to this place again unless she is gone. Stopped in for a quick bite around after a late arrival at TPA We were greeted and kindly told we could take a seat anywhere. Our server was friendly and attentive. It looks like your typical diner-type establishment. There were maybe five other tables occupied while we were there. I had a BLT, and Gray had a patty melt Both came with fries. Everything came out fresh and hot. My bacon was well done as requested, and my sandwich was delicious. The patty melt was properly executed and yummy. The fries came out hot and crispy. We wanted breakfast, so we ordered here. The restaurant was clean, friendly employees and nice guests. Social distancing is a must and you must wear your face mask. I don't eat breakfast meat, so I ordered a mushroom omelette, grits and potatoes. My son ordered French toast, bacon, sausage and scrambled eggs. Wellll this is a place I will probably never be back to. Let's start with the bathroom. The bathroom in 3 coins that patrons use was BEYOND filthy. If I had went to the bathroom before the food came I would have promptly left because if their bathroom looks that way why does their kitchen look like. The Three Coins is a Tampa treasure! I've been there twice in the last four months and the food and service was great both times. This last time, though, service was especially spectacular because of Linda, one of the best servers ever! She is pleasant, funny, attentive... crazy attentive, like psychic almost! I have enjoyed the western omelet with potatoes and buttered toast both times. On my first visit I added a side of steak. I would have done so again but I wasn't that hungry and knew I needed the room for one of their fantastic deserts. Last night I had the rice pudding, which she also adorned with a generous helping of whipped cream and cinnamon. Delicious! We were there around 11pm this time. My first time was later, around 12:30am. It gets crazy busy-packed restaurant and a long wait-around bar closing time but, still, oh-so-worth it.
