Mushroom cheeseburger
Natalia B.

This is a cutsie little diner than makes you want to know the entire staff's life story the moment you walk in. There's nothing glamorous about this place, but an ESTABLISHMENT. I hope it stays in Tampa forever. 5/10 burger because there was nothing special about it, but I still thoroughly enjoyed eating it. I got the mushroom cheeseburger with Swiss cheese. The patty was overdone, and the bun was underwhelming, but i don't even care because the staff was so kind, so they get 5 stars. Oh also, the fries weren't salted. Oh also x2, the prices are pre-covid era

If your looking for a nice diner, this is it! Good down home cooking. Our omelettes were delicious, but the star of the show was the potatoes, they were bomb. We ordered French toast for the table and it was amazing! They brought over all the powdered sugar, cinnamon and syrup. My older brother and Mom shared the chicken Parmesan and spaghetti. I didn't get a picture of it. They said it was tasty. The service was great too! It is a little hard to find, but once you do you won't be sorry.

This place was in a weird corner. Be careful while turning into the parking lot. When we got inside, we were able to seat ourselves. It's a casual small restaurant. The staff were nice. The food was decent for the price. Overall not a bad place for a quick bite.

The service was super speedy. The Belgium waffle was hot and delicious! I loved the diner vibe!

This place is a Tampa staple...if you haven't been, you should go! My friend got the Club Sandwich with the bacon with potato salad. I got the Turkey and Ham Club with fries. Both sandwiches were delicious. The fries were hot and krispy and the potato salad was so flavorful! We had great service and food was on the table so quickly! I have been to this place at least 20 times and I have enjoyed everything I have ever ordered! Seriously. Can't wait for you to try it!!

The chef's special with three eggs sausage bacon three pancakes and coffee grits and toast added

I was born here in Tampa and I've always driven by there for years and finally stopped in and I'm glad I did because the food is great and great prices never judge a book by its cover like they say.

My boyfriend insisted that there are indeed 24-hour diners here in Tampa Bay. We spent New Year's Day at a friends near this diner and he suggested we get a bite to eat here. It is always so nice to be able to park in an actual parking lot. We got a table without any trouble. The soup was so yummy. He was bummed they were out of tuna fish, but ordered a chicken salad sandwich. Food was good and service was excellent. Will definitely be back.

We had ordered two appetizers to share , and were finishing when she came over. We were on the outside patio , our Chihuahuas were contained in their carriers, and the only time one of them barked was when the waiter came by. We were there early at 11:30. For 15 minutes we were the only ones out there , then this elderly couple came and when they walked by us the elderly woman gave us a dirty look. Five minutes later another couple sat but further away from us. That woman seemed to be the only one with a problem. I should have asked the manager that if someone had complained about a screaming child( which usually is constant) would they have been asked to leave? I really like the food , and the service but we are contemplating whether to go there again because frankly we felt insulted! We only brought the dogs to begin with because my daughter is going on a trip and she is leaving the dogs with us. So we were exchanging them, and thought we would have lunch. The manager and the elderly couple ruined the experience for us. The manager told us that pets were not permitted but I checked in two different places , and pets are permitted on their patio. I feel they should either change their policy , or inform the manager as to what the policy is because she told us that pets were not allowed! Next time we will meet somewhere in St. Petersburg because that city is very pet friendly!

The service was top notch, and the ambiance was out of this world. To the point where we are planning to attend the themed dinners each month to see if they can continue the high bar they set this night. The star of the show was the food. O M G!! Each course and wine/drink pairing was phenomenal. The cheddar biscuit, shrimp with pimento cheese grits, that succulent pork ribeye, and bourbon ball dessert had us (figuratively) licking plates all night. 10/10 recommend you join the wine club and attend as many of these dinners as possible.

This was my first time trying German food, and Mr. Dunderbak's was a great introduction…read more I ordered the Jägerschnitzel with veal, which is a herb-breaded Wiener schnitzel topped with a rich hunter gravy. The veal was incredibly tender, and the gravy was packed with flavor. It was a satisfying entrée that came with two sides. For my sides, I chose the pierogies and spätzle. The pierogies were honestly my favorite part of the meal. They were fluffy, cheesy, and generously filled. So delicious. I could have eaten a whole plate of just those. The spätzle was soft and well prepared, but compared to everything else, I found it a little boring. The restaurant itself is very cute and has a lot of character. I loved browsing the selection of German snacks, candy, and other imported items available for purchase. It added to the overall experience and made the place feel unique. While I'm not that familiar with German food, I thought this was a pretty good restaurant. Overall, I found German cuisine a little more muted than what I'm personally used to, but I still really enjoyed the meal and the experience. I'd be interested in trying more of the menu.

I had such high hopes for this place. :( The selection is very limited and perhaps I missed something (entirely possible), but I did not see a price list for the deli case. We did find a unique assortment of other German products- some we haven't seen in many years. The restaurant portion was quite busy and the customers looked happy. We were flooded with nostalgia and left in hopes of dining in on a less-busy day. I ordered two meats, including the German bologna. During the drive home, my family and I noticed a terrible odor-- the kind where we started pointing fingers at one another. We never suspected that the package from the deli was the source. When we opened it at home, a nauseatingly funky, ammonia-type smell came from the German bologna. While the liverwurst smelled okay, I could not trust it after the bologna and decided against keeping it. Wasted time and money. Dang! The staff is super nice and that was truly a plus. However, I doubt we will be back. My family is very bummed over this.

Had brunch here with some girlfriends on a Saturday - brunch time in Hyde park, on the weekend,…read moredoes not bode well for parking - just a heads up for those who may be unfamiliar with the Hyde park area. There are a few parking garages, but even those are a pain because people park like idiots. The parking situation isn't On Swann's fault, but it's an annoying factor. We had reservations well in advance, so we didn't have to worry about a wait. It was reasonably busy for a Saturday at brunch time. The decor and overall ambiance was classy but comfortable, which is great imo. Our server was nice and checked on us a good amount of times. The wait time between ordering our food and it coming to the table felt a bit lengthier than I would typically expect, but the food was delicious so it's hard to even complain about that. I got the short rib hash and a croissant and both items were wonderful. The croissant was flaky and buttery, it comes with a honey dip and butter on the side, would def get again. The short rib hash was also a menu item I would order again - the eggs were cooked perfectly, and I'd say I'm a little picky with how runny my eggs are. These were runny, but not TOO runny. The potatoes had a nice crisp to the outside but nice and soft on the inside, the short rib was so tender, so juicy, it was just a very well rounded, great tasting hash. This was my first time visiting On Swann for brunch, I'll be back for sure, but maybe on a weekday instead of the weekend since it seems to get pretty crowded in the Hyde Park Village area!
