I'm had to redo this place because it's close to where I live and I wanted to try another option to see if my second experience would be better than the first and it definitely was. Got the farmer's omelet this time and it didn't disappoint. The omelet was cooked to perfection, the biscuit and gravy was creamy and less dry than the last one experience. Potatoes you could tell were freshly made and nicely seasoned. The best part was definitely the service though. The waitresses bust their tails giving everyone including those taking out the best service. Made sure to offer plenty of ketchup and hot sauce with my order. Though the place seems small it's in a good location and the Belgian waffle sundaes I saw were definitely something I want to try next time. I was always told if you don't have anything nice to say then don't. Can't vouch for the food as we left after waiting 15 minutes to be noticed. 10 more minutes to get our drinks and watching the flow of locals not being served or food taking an enormous amount of time to come out if at all. I had a ham and cheese omelette with wheat toast and home fries. We also had some French toast for the table. Everything was real tasty. The diner is open 24 hours a day so that is another plus. This is one of only a few 24 hr diners in the Tampa area. The staff and servers here are pretty nice. I've been here a few times especially late night. The service is pretty quick. We ordered French toast for the table and it was amazing! They brought over all the powdered sugar, cinnamon and syrup. My older brother and Mom shared the chicken Parmesan and spaghetti. Went there today to have lunch. I come in and seat myself like everyone else does at this restaurant. I waited over 15 minutes for someone to come over to my table and take my drink order or order, but alas, no one came over or even acknowledged me. I get up and leave and as I passed the wait stand I say thank you for the service and was met with one person saying "I'm not on the clock," and then going back to her phone while the other staff was trying to look busy while there were about 3 tables that had people at them. I previously wrote a rave review however recently I have had 2 orders that were horrible, rude communication written into receipts with no attempt to contact me for replacement request and instructions were completely ignored - most recently was today where eggs were ordered scrambled and sent over light and home fries were not included and when I contacted Uber eats to refund only part of the order I was refused despite sending a photo where it was clear the eggs were prepared wrong. I arrived around 3am, on 10 Jun to get breakfast. A skinny blond waitress had the audacity to get arrogant and call me names out of my character. I am an independent contractor for Yber, late night. I work between Tampa General and The V A hospitals 11pm to 7am 7 nights per week. I eat, remain on the lot until time for my next pickup or food delivery. She was rude and argumentative when asked to supply napkins in a to-go order. If she was t lolly gagging, in a joking attitude, and taking care of business, she would have put napkins in the bag from the beginning. When the napkins were requested, she became challenging and ridiculously loud. What ever happened to customer service. You do not challenge a customer when they request service, which is her job. I did frequent this diner 3-4 times per week., spending $15-20 per visit. There are atleast 10 other late night food establishments in the Tampa area. I have been a customer here for years. Her attitude and demeanor is that equal to dealing an orangutan. She is racist and boisterous and should not be on the front line. She got loud and condescending when asked for the napkins. The way she conducted herself was very substandard and aggressive. If I wanted to be humored, I would go to a comedy club. A food establishment is not the place for this type of behavior. Arguing with a customer and resulting name calling was very inappropriate and demeaning. Won't be back or bring future guests to this place again unless she is gone. Diners are the best. The food is typically made fresh to order. Family like atmosphere. From my understanding this place is a staple in Tampa. Great reviews and word of mouth. My daughter asked me to join her for breakfast. And this is the place I chose. I had a cup of coffee. It was pretty good. I meant to ask what brand they use. It was that good. My breakfast order was a ham and cheese omelet with home fried potatoes and toast. Really good portion for everything. Can't really go wrong with an omelet. The potatoes could use some seasoning. It looks like your typical diner-type establishment. There were maybe five other tables occupied while we were there. I had a BLT, and Gray had a patty melt Both came with fries. Everything came out fresh and hot. My bacon was well done as requested, and my sandwich was delicious. The patty melt was properly executed and yummy. The fries came out hot and crispy. Wellll this is a place I will probably never be back to. Let's start with the bathroom. The bathroom in 3 coins that patrons use was BEYOND filthy. If I had went to the bathroom before the food came I would have promptly left because if their bathroom looks that way why does their kitchen look like. My husband got the French toast supreme and I got the farmers omelette. My omelette was nothing to write home about, the eggs were a little well done but all in all an average omelette. This last time, though, service was especially spectacular because of Linda, one of the best servers ever! She is pleasant, funny, attentive... crazy attentive, like psychic almost! I have enjoyed the western omelet with potatoes and buttered toast both times. On my first visit I added a side of steak. I would have done so again but I wasn't that hungry and knew I needed the room for one of their fantastic deserts.
