Really great hotel. It has everything they claim to have-…read moresuch close proximity to Snow Summit and Big bear mtn and ski rental shops. Great game room and jacuzzi for after skiing. Resteraunt down the the street with cozy atmosphere and happy hour (less than a minute walk). Walgreens within walking distance too. Wonderful staff. Lockers to store ski equipment. We would definitely stay here again- we found our perfect Big Bear hotel. And the breakfast was really good, lots of choices- eggs, eggs with veggies, pancake maker, bread and bagels to toast, bacon or sausage. fresh baked muffins, cereal. Oatmeal.......perfect before skiing. And plenty of water all day and night.

One of my favorite things was the walking path right behind the hotel surrounded by tall pine trees made a peaceful way to start the day. The room was clean. My husband says beds were a little too hard for his liking, but overall comfy and clean. The free breakfast was a nice bonus and really convenient before heading out for the day.. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is perfect close enough to the village but still quiet and relaxing. This is the place to go, If you're looking for a laid back spot with good vibes and a bit of nature right outside your door.

Their own employees were talking, smack about each other in front of us. Overall, it's kind of like putting lipstick on a pig, not a great place. WARNING! LONG REVIEW, BUT YOU NEED TO READ!!…read more Where to begin? I looked up this place and saw that they offered an indoor pool, in-room massages, and spa treatments. NOT TRUE! I called to schedule our massages and was told, "Sorry, we don't do that". Asked about the spa and said they said it was under renovations. This was after I had booked the stay. You cannot set any apts. up until 24 hrs before your stay. Okay, fine we can outsource the massages, plus it was too late to cancel without losing money. Also 24 hours before check in they send you a message requesting you to pre-register by texting another number. I did and received no responce. It's fine we'll go early and do it in person. We get there to check-in and there is a sign at the front desk, "please text this number for check in. We are helping other guests." Okay, fair we were a bit early (about 50 min). I send off a message. We go off to get some food and wait for a responce. NOTHING! We came back to the hotel after 4 and the same sign was there. This time I call and the manager (I assume) answers and he does a "remote" check in. I now have to give my card info over the phone and get my key out of 1 of the 3 lock boxes located on the outside of the building. Not to excited about that. We get our key and go to the room. Not the room I booked. It smelled old and musty. Booked a King, got 2 queens.. Fine, we can manage. We get settled in and then went to go get dinner. Got back to the room to take an evening swim. This was 7:30 pm. Walked down the hall to the pool and was stopped by 2 cats just roaming. I am good with kitties, but seemed strange at first, then again seemed on par for our experience so far.... Onto the pool. Sign on the door..... pool closes at 6pm. HUH???? At that point we just went back to the room. Tucked in for the night. NEXT MORNING! Went to use the restroom and noticed either blood or poop SMEARED ON THE WALL directly across from the toilet under the towels. YUCK!!! Spouse tried to use the coffe maker in the room and it wouldn't work. Now, I have just about had it. As we were getting dressed to go address everything with the manager, we were both half naked and A STAFF MEMBER WALKS RIGHT INTO OUR ROOM!!!!! ABSOLUTELY DONE! Screamed at him to get out. Now our saftey is in question. We packed our bags and got a refund! This was by far the MOST HORRIFIC experience I have ever had. If I could give no stars I would. False advertising, poor staff etiquette and not to mention a HUGE safty factor if anyone can walk into your room even when it's locked.

We stayed in a kind bed suite room which gave us some extra elbow room. My ONLY complaint was the mattress. It curved in the middle so bad that I woke up with shoulder pain from leaning all night :-/ Our room 367, faced the main hwy but you couldn't hear traffic w/the window closed. These rooms have frig, micro, dishwasher, plates & cups so very convenient when traveling. The front desk staff was very friendly. They do offer breakfast in the am which is another plus when traveling. We would stay there again but hopefully they get better beds!!!

Our check-in time was 3:00 pm, and we arrived around 3:30 pm with three tired kids hoping to settle in quickly. Unfortunately, our room wasn't ready, so we waited in the lobby. At 4:00 pm we were assigned a room, but it still wasn't finished -- no sheets on the beds, no pillowcases, crumbs in the sink, and hair in the bathroom like someone had recently shaved. It seemed like there was miscommunication between the front desk and housekeeping. We finally got into a fully cleaned room around 4:30 pm. After a long day of traveling with kids, it was definitely disappointing. That said, the staff members who were working truly made a difference. Joshua, who checked us in, was very apologetic. He was the only person working the front desk at the time. He stayed professional the entire time. A huge shoutout also goes to Edwin, who was working unbelievably hard. We saw him helping with rooms, assisting at breakfast, and keeping things running smoothly. His work ethic really stood out and he deserves recognition. Once we settled in, the hotel had lots of positives: The complimentary s'mores kits were a big hit with the kids. Each kit included four marshmallows, one Hershey's bar, and four graham crackers, wrapped in a festive Thanksgiving bag. The outdoor fireplace courtyard is huge and made the experience even better. This was especially great because the little town of Big Bear tends to close early, so having this activity at the hotel was perfect. The pool area was clean and well maintained, which is also perfect option for family with kids (just a way to entertain them while having fun). The complimentary breakfast was also surprisingly good. The waffles were awesome, and there were plenty of options like cereal, oatmeal, eggs, and potatoes. I would love to see a few more condiments added (like mayonnaise or mustard), but overall it was a great breakfast spread. The room layout was spacious, very comfortable, and perfect for a family. Despite the rocky start at check-in, the hotel has a lot of charm, great amenities, and truly hardworking staff members who care.

I'm so glad I went with them instead of self-managing. Their super host status and many great reviews on Airbnb really raised the profile of my new listing. I'm completely blown away with how good they are at their job. Professional & organized & really great at handling the guests. I'm very detail oriented and so are they. They always make sure everything is repaired, and running smoothly. So good with communication. I went through extensive research to find a good management company for my beloved home that I spent 2 years meticulously remodeling. I have several friends in the area with vacation rentals who have tried bigger management companies and it's been a nightmare. Another friend self-manages and she's had 1/2 the amount of bookings as my property, and it's so much work for her. I'm an interior designer, and I really appreciate how thoughtful they are about the aesthetic of each of the cabins in their collection. Very tasteful! They had so many helpful recommendations to get my home rental ready, and were attentive and available from the start.

They re-imagined my cabin with a new design and décor to appeal to those who seek a peaceful nature loving retreat. Starting with a mood board, sourcing unique furniture, linens, décor and plants they personally added their own finishing touches to make it a perfect addition to their Kind Carbineer Cabin collection. During the re-design phase of the cabin, Jessica and Sean visited multiple times to check in and work alongside us during this process. They also took the time to shop and curate décor at antique markets and vintage shops to give the cabin that extra touch. When it came to getting the cabin ready, Sean was there with all the tools and 2 hands to help out! Setting up the supply shed with all the linens, kitchen ware, guest toiletries, paper goods, etc. etc. was a breeze because of his experienced team. Jessica and Sean staged the cabin and took photos of the cabin for the Airbnb listing. The cabin was ready and bookable November 2021 and we were instantly fully booked for the holidays. Jessica and Sean went the extra mile in adding a real Christmas tree and holiday décor to the cabin - guests were so excited! Guests continue to review my cabin as a 5 star stay, and rave about the specially curated cabin décor and outstanding communication and hospitality from Jessica and Sean. Kind Cabineer has firsthand expertise in the Big Bear market and years of experience in revenue management to determine the best price for me as owner to maximize my profits. Their Super-host status and consistent 5 star reviews for my cabin has allowed me to feel reassured and trust that they will deliver and exceed guests expectations. Kind Cabineer offers full service property management ranging from reliable and consistent cleaning crews, expert handymen, re-stocking supplies, to accurate monthly billing and timely invoicing. We are so delighted with their design and creativity we have hired them for interior design for our next endeavor in Coachella Valley. Jessica and Sean have made the property management partnership easy and enjoyable, and I am proud to have my cabin be a part of their Kind Cabineer collection!
