AND YES - a quick fresh snack or grab and go lunch…read more Doing some shopping around town I was hangry and didn't want fast food out anything too big. Just a snack. Yummy small container full of pesto pasta salad. Hubby got small bowl of clam chowder. Sat in the little table area by the cafe to eat. Doing forget to ask at check out got fork and spoon - although they usually offer it. Thanks Nugget!

Stopped into Nugget to grab fresh raspberries for homemade crème brûlée (using them as the…read moretopping), and it was one of those quick grocery runs that reminded me why I like shopping here. The berries looked beautiful -- fresh, bright, and exactly what you want when you're making something special and don't want to risk disappointing fruit. Produce quality really does make a difference, especially when it's the star of the dish. I also ended up finding a garlic olive oil I've been looking for, which felt like a bonus win. Nugget is great for those moments when you need something a little more specialty and don't want to drive all over town searching for it. The store was clean, well stocked, and easy to get in and out of, which I always appreciate when I'm just popping in for a few things during a busy day. It's one of those places where you can reliably find quality ingredients whether you're cooking something special or just grabbing everyday groceries. Final verdict: absolutely worth it.

A decent restaurant in the casino! We have family that are frequent flyers here and they decided to…read moreinvite us to dinner. We learned that on Mondays and Tuesdays from 4-10 pm, the steakhouse next door is closed so their extra prime rib is sold here at a discount! It's still delicious! We also tried the potato skin poutine. Very different than what you would expect based on the name but really delicious. I think the cheese curds were fried until crispy and served with sliced brisket, chopped mushrooms, and gravy. They were served on a small potato halved, not just the skin. Very hearty, but tasty! We also got to try the banh mi sliders with beef. Perhaps it is my bias having tried many iterations of this before, but the bao bun was not a great texture and the beef, while filet mignon, was just fine. The sauce it was served with helped a lot. And the chips that came with the bao were a bit stale. The staff are very sweet but definitely not as attentive as you would expect for a nicer restaurant. The ambiance was decent but so many blinking TVs at every angle makes for an extremely distracting environment. The noise from the casino carries a bit but is much quieter if you are deeper in the restaurant.

I attended a birthday party of 14 tonight in the back patio, and since we were the only party…read moreoutside, we had it all to ourselves. I had a Cali Burger and a salad, which was very good. The birthday girl had the salmon dinner, and my sister in law had the meatloaf dinner. I enjoyed the juicy burger with tomato, avocado and bacon. It came with fries, but if you wanted to sub for a salad, it would be an additional $4. We started with a variety of appetizers, but I stuck with the dinner because that was plenty. Everyone enjoyed their meal, but i don't think my sister in law like the flavor of the meatloaf., but that's always a matter of preference/taste. We brought our own cake, but staff were available to cut it for us, and serve. There is a cake cutting fee too, so don't forget to ask about it ahead of time. The manager, Paul, was excellent. He was very attentive, and helpful, and enjoyed interacting with our group to ensure that our birthday celebration was a special one.

I haven't been to Satori in years so I'm glad to return and say they are yummy and fresh! We…read morestarted off with seaweed and cucumber salad which is so incredibly delicious! I could snack on it for sure. The edamame is also something I could just snack on. It's covered with a sauce that is very addicting. We got a small boat that comes with sashimi, nigiri, and two rolls. All very fresh fish! The roll with the salmon on top was my fave. Their sauce on the rolls really bumps them up for me. We also got more salmon and tuna sashimi because we needed more! We also got this fried piece that's topped with spicy tuna, crab, avocado, and masago -- very delicious! I took away a star because I have had better raw fish from other places and there is just too much rice with the nigiri. The staff here are incredible! Satori is guaranteed for kind and attentive people.

So...if you are huge about cleanliness and sanitation I'll warn you now. But first let me say this:…read morethe one star is not for the food. The food was fine. We ordered a California roll and a tempura bento box. If you look at the picture it didn't come in a box. First Japanese place I've been to that this happened. The shrimp tempura may have been imitation shrimp. Not your traditional size. It's like Long John Silver fried shrimp. During the meal I heard the door open and smelled cigarette smoke. At first I thought it was a customer coming in and someone smoking around the door. When we were done with the meal the door opened again and again I smelled the smoke. THIS TIME I saw one of the sushi chefs walk in, grab his drink from behind the counter, put gloves on and proceed to do his job. HE DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS! He went straight back to work. Moments before that our server was eating something also behind the counter where they make the sushi. Now I don't eat sushi. My daughter does. But from what I know sushi is raw. Everything should be super sanitized. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I was beyond grossed out! I've worked at a restaurant before where they wash hands coming from the bathroom and first going into the kitchen. Twice. He didn't do it once! I told my daughter if she's feeling a bit sick to let me know. She said she's fine for now. How they got a PASS from the safety department I don't know.
