I unfortunately had a headlight go out and was slightly worried because I've never changed a bulb out before. I went to AutoZone after reading on their website site that they sometimes offer headlight replacement services. The staff at this location are particularly friendly and helpful (I went to a different location the day prior and didn't get much help). They helped me find the right bulb and went out of their way to help make sure I got it replaced with the broken one. They were able to switch my bulbs within about 10 minutes and I was on my way! Very easy and very helpful. The manager in particular (didn't get her name) was great. read more

Updated March 2025 These employees really aim to make my life easier! Went in today looking for license plate screws cause my plate keeps whipping in the wind and driving me bat crazy. Well little did I know that rear license plates usually only have two screws on top. Kevin, the Autozone employee, went out to my vehicle and proceeded to add washers to my screws and in a matter of seconds my license plate was secure and not moving at all. I appreciate his help and it cost me nothing. He helped so much and I'll continue to buy auto supplies from them because of their many helpful employees. Great customer service! read more

I bought a part that was coming from another location and called later in the day to see if it arrived. On two separate occasions I called to ask if my part arrived and both time I was out on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up and calling again. Needless to say I still don't know if my part arrived because I haven't been able to speak with anyone regarding it. And people wonder why retail stores are going out of business and choosing to buy online. I am not familiar with fixing cars, but there were a few times I needed something for a small fix-job. This Auto Zone has the nicest and most helpful employees! Each of my last two visits, an employee greeted me as soon as I entered the store. I would describe what I needed and the employee would pretty immediately know what I was asking for. SOME of the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced. One employee was left by himself to help the customers while two others (ignored the CalOSHA& County health order) not wearing masks and walked around talking while I stood in view waiting for assistance. Eventually they went and stood behind the counter but didn't greet me when I asked for help they went to grab a part I ordered and rang it, stepped back and continued to talk as if I wasn't there and provided no instructions like "swipe your card." They turned sideways and acted as if no one else was there. It was clear they did not want any business and went back to talking about how they just wanted to "smoke and fuck off." I asked if they were aware the mask mandate was back in effect, given these things have changed, under the health order and cal OSHA regulations. Looked at me and said "so what?, I'm not wearing one." And went back to their conversation so I left. read more

Came in this evening for radiator flush. Armani tried to help. First told us that the safe was open. Then was very rude to my girlfriend when she was asking for help. Next he was on FaceTime with someone as well as vaping in the store. What a d***! Very rude about everything. Should not be working here. read more

I was having a bad day with car troubles and I stopped by to see if they could help. one of the younger managers Armani was able to test my battery and it was bad so got a new battery and thankfully he installed the battery and gave me good customer service and was professional and polite. read more

I appreciate the employees who work at this Autozone. They are helpful and always courteous. Before I go in I always make sure I check the app for the item I'm looking for so that I can communicate better with them when I need to place an order or just pick up an item. Whether it's a brake light, or having them check why the engine light is on, someone is always willing to help. I know right now they are understaffed so I wait. On that note if you also have patience and prepare yourself for variable setbacks at any business it can make any shopping experience a lot easier smoother for your sanity. I've never been so disappointed with the customer service here at store #2842. I've been coming to this location for years. Then I was met by rep Izzy. She was very rude and unprofessional on all levels. I came into the store because I was given a exterior oil filter with out a gasket, had I not known so much about cars, my vehicle probably would have been damaged if I put the oil filter on without the gasket. She took no ownership, even though it was another employees mistake. She questioned my knowledge, turned to a coworker and said, " isn't this a oil filter without a gasket?". This is common knowledge for an employee to know when working at an auto parts store that all oil filters have gaskets even, Internal oil filters. When I received the part, she didn't want to do a proper exchange because she didn't want a survey so she gave me the part and just said, "here you go.". I Wanted to check the part this time to make sure it was the right one since it wasn't initially, and she took that into offense. Once i was able to verify the correct item, I left and she said, "yeah keep walking.". Accountability should be held as the experience was not one I should've experienced or any other customer for that matter. read more

While picking up our grandkids at school today, we found ourselves with a dead battery. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach any family members who could help. My husband called Auto Zone and they immediately sent over a driver to swap out our battery with a new one. The driver was very kind and and efficient! Worst service, do not go here. Went here to get shocks for my grandmothers car. We wanted to try it out because of the location, but nope that's not enough for me to go here ever again. We were not greeted when we walked in, there was no other customers in the store and there were 5 employees behind the counter. After 5 minutes we were directed to a different counter for assistance. We got to that counter and two employees ignored us and called another employee to assist. The employee who did assist us finally after 5 minutes was not friendly. Then we were directed to go to the next counter, where I almost tripped and fell on my face as a box was sticking out into the main aisle from the corner. This store does not have employees that care for the safety of their customers or assisting them. I will never return and DO NOT recommend this location. read more

"Missy" who has been there for years, has always provided exceptional customer service and will go the extra mile to assist customers, even when things go wrong! [Which is hard to find these days!] Also, I have worked with other staff there and have experienced simular results. Took my car to get the battery checked out as a last minute effort towards the end of a grueling day. I arrived and Jeff tested my battery. He determined my battery was a problem, and then he changed my battery for me. I can't emphasize how much of a life saver he was. He explained the process so I wasn't in the dark about what he was doing. Not only did he save me a trip to the mechanics hours later, he instilled confidence in me about the battery purchase and subsequent maintenance. From time to time I go to this Auto Zone store for parts and other accessories for my jalopy. I suppose I go back as it is close to my house and the staff is always helpful. Last night during a steady rain I was finally motivated enough to replace one of the windshield wipers. Suffice it to say, I received friendly counter service from Missy and Derek offered to come out in the rain and replace it. Was looking for a battery and always go to the local parts shops in town. O'Reilly and AutoZone are the favs so checked out who had the part in stock. AutoZone had it in so drove down there for the battery. The starter lately has been slow on the charge so wanted to check before I plopped down $120 for the battery. The csr (forgot his name) came out with the battery tester and did some simple checks and verified yes, the battery was failing. I figured it but wanted to make sure. Jeramy rang me up, came out to install it. Was VERY HELPFUL in explaining the process of how to remove and install battery cables. You would think I would know this but always helpful when it gets reinforced by others. Wired it up and car fired up nice and quick. Always great to have simple things down by the local places. I have visited this Autozone many times. I appreciate the staff at this location. If I place an order online, they call to confirm. If I have questions, they put someone on the phone that has the right answer. I used to dread going into Auto parts stores due to the lack of intelligent life forms that staff the counters, but not at this AutoZone. One example. We use a starter from an older vehicle for our Dyno. We did not know the year of the vehicle or what make. OK, we didn't know anything about the starter except we needed a replacement. After many attempts at contacting the Dyno mfg and tech support, I was not able to find the right part. I took the starter to AutoZone on Elk Grove Florin and the manager opened the box and said, "Hmmmm, this is an old starter, most likely out of a Chrysler". So he looks up a 1971 Chrysler with a big ass 8 cylinder engine. BAMMMMM!!! There was a picture of the starter that I have been trying to source for a long time.
