I wish there were charging stations in Fallbrook which is the East side of Camp Pendleton. Otherwise, we have to get to Temecula. Sometimes that traffic is ridiculous and definitely makes us anxious about making it home. Thank you for this spot. I see Northern Pine Brewery, Harbor Freight and a coin laundry in this parking lot. I k ow there's a neighborhood Walmart and other places on the opposite side. All in all, Great charging in the city of Oceanside.

It looks like an abandoned shopping plaza besides the equinox at the entrance of the unnamed road and the wine and cheese place at the end. We came when the sun was setting and even though there were plenty of chargers open on the second level, it gave me a spooky feeling. We ended up walking around the entire plaza before finding the restroom lol and the restroom entrance ended up being to slight left from the second level location where we were parked at. I attached a photo of it. I remembered the code probably until half way around the block and by the time I found it, I had forgotten it and the husband had to retrieve the code in the car I was joking with him saying if I was trying to get away from a bad guy, I'd end up dying at the restroom door from not remembering the code. I was expecting the bathroom entrance to lead directly into a restroom stall. Nope, there's a small entrance, down a few steps followed by a small hallway and the restroom was at the end of the hall. Though very "temporary" in appearance, I was very thankful to even have a restroom to use while I charged. The forests and shrubbery surrounding the charging station is also kind of spooky. Needless to say, I am a city girl. Very used to having charging stations in the middle of malls and shopping plazas. Nice pit stop but... I wouldn't wanna come alone when the sun goes down.

The bad: the stations are located on a busy street and cars speed through like nothing. This makes it difficult to get in and out and it's very unsafe. Two of the 10 chargers are for handicap but it gets fully ignored. People park their car as they please and fully ignore the handicap signs. And it gets busy at this station. Somehow they are always busy. The app isn't accurate enough to update availability. In addition, if you are charging and leave your car, you might risk that someone unplugs you. I have been sometimes using the time to shop at Walmart and had it happen before. Also, at night it can get a little sketchy with transients, people doing car meet, people living out of their cars and doing their business right there etc. it doesn't feel the safest place to be at dark.

Even though the view was spectacular, it was interrupted by kids jumping in the pool and occasionally splashing us and also just running by us. Also because we were by the pool, our cocktails came in plastic glasses which also made us feel a little slighted, especially since the cocktails are pretty pricey. The service was just okay. Our server was nice and we didn't ever feel like we were being neglected even though we were over by the pool and not in the main area. I just feel there wasn't anything remarkable about the service. I think when you are expecting to pay higher prices for an experience, you want more personable servers. All this to say, we were really happy with all the food we had! We had the 1/2 dozen oysters (my only complaint is that they did not disclose where they were from on the menu so you don't really know what you are paying for and it is pricey), the sea bass ceviche (super yummy!), the lamb, and the prawn special. I did not shut up about how yummy the prawns were all night, even after we left! I'd come back but I'd make sure to ask for the same room we had in the north tower. Prices for a room were a bit ridiculous (high) and we couldn't "modify" our reservation. There was no term or condition saying we couldn't change from 2 to 1 night. However, a band is in town and it's comic con weekend. Place was completely full. Even with pictures and videos, yes they're alive. I would say something like this is major. From the bugs, what else could this room be hiding. Was it not cleaned. Was sheets not checked and just dusted over. The last thing you want to do is be in your room let alone knowing that you are more than likely going to have to get rid of everything. Apparently all the rooms are sold out as I was informed at the front desk. They could get me a suite but that wouldn't be for hours. With a massive chains like this, you know spare rooms are often saved for an incident. Last thing I want to do is head back to my bug infested room.
