Tim was out to our house the very next day, on time and with a small back up crew. Within an hour or so, he had our problem solved - turned out to be a failed circuit board and we were lucky that he had one available and on site, ready to switch out. Prior to the repairs he explained to me what was going on, what he was testing and what might need to be done. After they swapped out the circuit board, he showed me what he did, demonstrated the proper way to use a slide-out with a glitch in it, showed us the part he swapped out. He also did a complimentary roof inspection and told us that we could call him anytime, day or night, home or camping spot, and he would come out if we needed another repair down the road. Our payment went through Venmo and his prices are EXTREMELY reasonable, especially because of the quick turnaround. Then (yes, there is more) he sent us some instructional videos that we could use down the road. What impressed me the most was his friendliness, his courtesy and his kindness. The same goes for his staff, Ivan and... (forgive me... missed his name even though he told me but I blabbered away and forgot, didn't want to look inattentive by asking for it again. Was it... Vince?) But I can tell you, they were friendly and outgoing, which also speaks volumes for the company they work for. In today's climate where you ask for a quote and you never hear back, you leave a voice mail and you never hear back, or you finally hear back and the next available spot is 2 weeks away, having Tim and his crew come out the very next day reminded me of what actual customer service is. Tim saved our upcoming New Years Eve camping trip and he is going to be the one person that we call when we have any issues in the the future!!!

I was given a 1hr window for arrival within 3 hours of calling and he arrived prompt and ready to get to work. As a 20yr retired mechanic I had an idea what could be leaking, but Tim walked me through the locations of these "trouble points", ran through the scenario systematically, and fixed our problem within 30min while showing me what to look for and why... It's so hard to find trustworthy help these days or assistance that's affordable... Finding both in the same guy with EWT was the blessing we needed to save our camping trip. I can see why he's one of the few approved vendors allowed into Santee Lakes Recreational campgrounds. Thanks again Tim!

What impressed me most was how professional and respectful he was. He explained everything clearly without being condescending, which I really appreciated. It's obvious he knows what he's doing. Reliable, knowledgeable, and easy to work with, I would definitely recommend him.

He diagnosed the issue, but as he was tied up Thursday and Friday, he referred me to another mobile repair service. They were able to stop by Friday afternoon, but couldn't fix it. The technician referred me to Sunrise RV in Escondido, but as I had already lost 2 days, I didn't pursue it. I had a lady friend join me Saturday, and we made it through without extending the slide. A little tight, but we made it. This morning, as we were prepping everything for the trip home, the overhead bunk in the cab wouldn't raise so I could drive. I reached out to Taylor at 6:45, and he arrived around 8:00. Through diligence and perseverance, he was able to reprogram the controller enough to get the bed up so I could drive home. He went above and beyond the normal effort to help me. A five star rating is, IMHO, a disservice!! If I could give him 12 Stars I would. Thank you Taylor! I wish you continued success!

I hired Kevin at Carlsbad Mobile Mechanic to diagnose an issue with my vehicle, at which point he…read moreadvised and recommended a radiator replacement. Before approving the work, I specifically asked in writing whether the parts being used were Nissan OEM or aftermarket. I received a direct response stating: "These are OEM parts." Based on that written confirmation, I agreed to move forward with the repair and payment. After the work was completed, I began experiencing serious issues with my vehicle, including stalling to the point where it was no longer safely drivable. Due to these failures, I had to take my vehicle to Nissan for further inspection. During that inspection, it became clear that the radiator installed was not OEM. Nissan also confirmed that OEM radiators would not present the way this one did, including the absence of proper identification. In addition, the coolant/transmission lines had been modified using generic hoses and clamps--something that would not be necessary with an OEM radiator, which is designed to use factory quick-connect fittings. These findings directly contradict what was promised to me in writing prior to the repair. As a direct result of the improper parts and installation, my vehicle sustained significant damage totaling over $15,000 and became unreliable and unsafe to drive, requiring additional time, expense, and inconvenience to address. When I attempted to resolve the situation, I requested receipts and documentation showing where the parts were purchased. These were not provided. In California, automotive repair providers are required to provide documentation and itemization of parts upon request, including itemized invoices and parts information, yet Kevin failed to do so. Instead, I was told that I was a "nightmare" customer and that I was "giving him a headache." He also attempted to shift blame by suggesting the damage must have been caused by a collision or another shop, despite the timeline and circumstances clearly tied to his work. Since then, my attempts to follow up have been ignored. At no point was I informed of any substitution, nor was I given the opportunity to approve the use of non-OEM parts. The use of OEM components was a key factor in my decision to proceed. When a mechanic diagnoses a repair, recommends replacement, and explicitly confirms OEM parts in writing, there is a clear expectation that those terms will be honored. That did not happen here. I strongly recommend that anyone considering working with Kevin at Carlsbad Mobile Mechanic verify all parts being installed, request documentation, and thoroughly inspect the work before accepting completion.

I hired him again and he came on time, did the repairs (oil leak and 2 censors) and was done within an hour and a half and solved all the issues that I've had ongoing with my car. If I would've taken it to a shop it would have been sitting there all day. FYI I have a hybrid and not every one can work on this type of car. Definitely using again.

I was told by most places that the problem was with the rotors and it would be at least $500, the highest price I got was from pep boys for only the front rotors and brakes priced at $1,500 (ridiculous). I contacted Pinpoint as my last hope because I was tired of the amount of shops I already contacted only to be ripped off. They told me initially ~$359. I couldn't believe it at first, I was like this is a new scam. But, I decided to pull up, and they not only found the actually problem but said it was going to cost less than they initially quoted me! Safe to say if I left a fresh pack of gum in my car I'd trust them to not grab a piece, or in another way if I left $1,000 in my car I'd bet that not a single dollar was missing. Pinpoint Automotive is one of the last few auto shops that I'd put my full trust in. Hats off to Chris too for putting up with my skepticism, I appreciate you.
