This has become our go to place for brunch on the island. I love that they have someone playing the piano. They also have good deals on bloody mary's and mimosas during brunch. I really enjoy their quiche but their eggs caprese is very good as well. Service is sometimes a little slow, but otherwise fine. We made reservations for Sunday Brunch during a weekend visit in the area. Upon seating, our waitress checked in on us immediately & was attentive and cheerful the entire time we were here. There was also a piano player providing live music which provided a nice atmosphere. There was a nice selection of items on the menu - I ultimately went with a Bacon Cheese Omelet. Entrees arrived quickly & my omelet was superb! Waterfront views were nice as well - vibe is a mashup of old-timey & waterfront ...very cool! Came here for a friend's bachelorette dinner, and am so glad we did! The service (hi heather!) was impeccable. She came out and snapped candid pics of us throughout the evening, kept the bride's drink filled, and overall went out of her way to make us feel very welcomed. We were able to take advantage of the Thursday night tapas special. We ordered 6 of the tapas, and the ones I could eat were really good. The only one I didn't love was the meatballs. The andouille sausage was fire! From the group, the feedback on the ones I couldn't eat (I have a food allergy) were also great. They said the crab Mac and cheese was the best. We also ordered dinner and we were so stuffed after the tapas, we absolutely didn't need it. My steak was cooked as desired, but I didn't love the seasoning on it. Always a delicious bite with a lovely view! Love the 2 for 26 tapas special on Mondays as well. I would recommend doing reservations if going on a weekend or during peak hours, but otherwise seating is usually pretty available if just walking in. Can't go wrong with any of the tapas and they are hearty enough to order a few plates for your whole dinner. The crab cigars were a favorite along with the baked Brie. If the weather is nice, highly recommend sitting on the top deck! read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. The wait staff was amazing, the food was perfectly seasoned and some of the best I have had in a very long time. The infused drink specials were fantastic, especially the pineapple Jalepeno infused margarita. I got the Steak & Cake and the filet was perfectly done. The house made tarter was a perfect addition to the crab cake. The garlic mashed potatoes deserve a special place in this review as well. Definitely a place you need to check out. read more

I'm from Ohio and was visiting for a job when it was suggested by a local we have dinner here. By the description of food and service I thought it was the kind of place we had to check out. Presentaion was beautiful but $40 for a steak with no sides isn't worth it. They say you can add on as many sides as you'd like, for double the price and half as much as you'd get at a grocery store. Yes the view is beautiful but there are other restaurants with beautiful views with dinners, including steaks with sides included, for cheaper. My waitress wasn't as great as I expected. It felt like she forgot about us. Mostly because we seen the other waitress go to her tables more than we seen our own. The most exciting thing is the piano, which you can't hear if you're seated outside. I personally thought the food was ok nothing to brag about and when we visit here again I don't think we will return. read more

7/2/20 covid update. Staff all wear masks and gloves. Paper menus used. Tables appear to be set up for social distancing. Indoor and outdoor seats. Stopped in for dinner at six PM with a reservation. Outside seating is in the full sun with no fans, so be prepared to sweat. Took advantage of the three tapas for $30 Thursday special. There was some sort of mixup/kitchen failure as it took an hour to get three tapas, and even then they didn't come out together. Server told us they had no more plates left so we had to eat from the serving platter. A couple next to us who arrived 20 minutes after us were served long before us. Foods fine (I guess) as I still haven't gotten it. Sat in the restaurant for 2 hours, without receiving my entree. Waited over 25 minutes to be acknowledged after having been seated. Watched my beer and a friends drink sit at the bar for 20 minutes before receiving it. Waitress said "tapas are like large appetizers", the tapas couldn't feed a bird. Honestly PO'd. I rarely give bad reviews, but I have too. Some of the worst service I've ever received. Restaurant isn't crowded, it's a Sunday night, we had a reservation. Never coming here again, and I will actively tell people to not come here. Edit: Fries weren't cooked all the way, girlfriends bun ;) was cold, and a larger group that was seated 30 min after us, had finished their entrees before we received our appetizers. This place seriously blows. Very disappointed. Edit again: complained for the second time in my life. "All they could do" was 15%. The manager didn't come over and apologize, which is absolutely unacceptable. Poor leadership at this restaurant. Literally went to McDonald's for dessert, as I know the food will come out properly made and in a timely manner. read more

The local Tiki Bar recommended this restaurant up the road when after drinking we were in dire need of some food. What a pleasant surprise. There was slight wait so we waited at the bar where Patrick the bartender was more than happy to assist. He was so welcoming that once our table was ready 2 of the 4 of us decided to stay at the bar with Patrick! I opted to be seated to fully enjoy the view, delicious food, and to our surprise a pianist came taking requests! It was awesome. We were quickly greeted by our server Nadia who gave us plenty of recommendations since we were first timers. We started with juicy bacon wrapped dates and for dinner had the Stuffed Rockfish and Stuffed Salmon both stuffed with crab imperial and both extremely tasty. While I don't frequent Solomon's Island, the next time I randomly end up on the other side of the bridge, I know where I'm eating! Awesome job Charles Street Brasserie! read more

We enjoyed the change of pace of Charles during our stay from the other restaurants on Solomons, which lean towards the "island bar" style. This restaurant is a step up in both its aesthetic and food choices. The seafood menu items were the best we had in the area, and despite the small plate options we left feeling very full without spending an exorbitant amount. They had some good classic cocktails on their menu which I appreciated, but a few that we tried had small instead of large cubes which melted fast and watered them down too much. More "premium" ice options would probably go a long way to make their cocktails better. The service, from the front desk to the wait staff, was very polite and accommodating. read more

Food service was good, did not take overly long, hot, server was friendly. With all that, why only 3 stars you ask? We ordered off the regular menu vs the tapas; selection is a bit limited and going back to the start "nothing memorable". The stuffed rockfish, the crab seemed mixed with a remoulade that was a bit off-putting, the crab cake was fine but a lot of filler, the rock fish sandwich was ok but a bit on the small side. Would rate the seafood pasta 5 stars with the exception of the cold plain baguette that came with it (1 star). Service was terribly underwhelming. My twin sister and I picked this restaurant by going to Google maps and searching for restaurants in Saint Mary's County, MD. We were able to call and make a reservation for a river window table. They however don't show up on Open Table. I had the rockfish stuffed with crab imperial with asparagus and rice pilaf. I didn't eat the rice as i am trying to lose weight. It was excellent, especially the crab. My sister had the salmon stuffed with crab imperial. She said it was also great. We topped it off with a bortle of prosecco, which complemented the meal nicely. read more

Filet MignonBruschetta- Slices of grilled tenderloin topped with tomato, garlic, basil and feta cheese served on top of a thin slice of toasted baguette Sesame Crusted Tuna- Fresh tuna crusted in black & white sesame seeds, pan seared served with our sweet chili sauce and smoked paprika Salmon Board- Thin sliced smoke salmon served with onions, capers, chopped egg, cucumbers, Tzatziki sauce and French baguette For dinner we went with an 8oz Filet Mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, Wild mushroom cream sauce. I love that this place serves tapas and we could order a bunch of things to share. Some of the highlights was the ahi tuna bites and the crab mac and cheese. We've tried a variety of crab/lobster mac and cheese at amazing restaurants and this place was my fiancee's favorite. One dish that I probably wouldn't reorder was the duck wrapped in phyllo, which I thought was pretty dry and lacked in flavor. The bartender and wait staff are very nice and accommodating. If you have never been there it is located by the water. A very nice view of the water and boats. They have outdoor seating during the warm months. They have a terrific brunch on Sundays that offer Tapas and other brunch selections. They have mimosas and bloody Mary's at a great price. The only reason this is getting two stars is because our server (Makayla) was wonderful. Great service. We came in at opening on Wednesday, hoping for an early dinner before heading home. No one was in the restaurant for the duration of our visit, but we were sat at arguably the worst table in the entire place. It was tiny and wobbly. The drinks were extremely sweet, I ordered a mint julep that was maybe 1/2 shot of bourbon and 2 shots of simple syrup. My fiancé said his Manhattan was extremely sweet as well. We ordered the crab and scallion cigars as well as the filet mignon bruschetta. There was not a single piece of lump crab in either cigar that we received. The avocado salsa was nothing more than some chunks of yesterday's avocado with a whole lot of oil and some sun dried tomatoes. Honestly, the steak tasted like it was canned steak that had been grilled and was extremely overdressed. Very sweet (again). We left after this. Not sure if our terrible experience was because we came at opening, or if this place is just not as great as it used to be. We'll skip this place from now on. read more

Took my wife here for our anniversary. Outside appearances were a bit deceptive, but inside was very nice. The Tapas menu had multiple items that we wanted to try so we opted to order just those, and it did not disappoint. Everything was very tasty. The service was above standards. We went in mid-December, and it was a tad nippy at the far end of the dining area where we sat. I had my wife sit towards the inner area so she was near where the heat was coming out of the ceiling, and I just kept my jacket on. It's a ticky-tacky issue, but I thought I would bring it up anyway if anyone is overly sensitive to the cold. The dining area is small and the tables are close together. There was one diner at the table next to ours who was probably louder than he needed to be, but not significantly to detract from the night. IF a really loud individual was there it could have been a different story. My wife and I do plan to go back again. read more

This is the first time for my wife and I to eat here. We came based on reviews. We will not be going back. We were very disappointed in this place. The service was terrible. Our server took too long to come take our order. When we finally got our food there was no steak knives with our steaks. My wife wanted salt for her garlic mashed potatoes. We sat and sat for a long time before, my broccoli and mashed potatoes were gone when our server came back to check on us and the potatoes were cold and the steak was cold when we finally got knives and salt. Even if the steak was warm it had no flavor what so ever. On a good note, guy at the piano was really good. read more

Fantastic place for dinner, drinks and a sunset. If the upper deck is open, request to sit there 45 min or so before sunset, the view is directly down the Narrows and is stunning.
