Went for Father's Day, thought we'd try something new. For the appetizers the Hush puppies were raw inside. Their Menu said Calamari would be crispy with rings and tentacles, it came out soggy with no tentacles. The Rockfish was very disappointing, very small filets not seasoned well, remoulade sauce seemed bottled. Rockfish should be something special when you go out. The broccolini that came with it was so hard, you could only get two bites out of it. The Board Walk Fries are misleading as to what they think are Board Walk Fries, not even close. Crab cake and wings were fair. We were going to get desert but were afraid to so opted for DQ. Sorry, but trying to be honest about the experience. The view, though was beautiful. read more

The food was fine. The chicken manure that was spread outside- around and between the picnic tables was revolting. I also happened to be wearing flip-flops. No one mentioned wearing work boots. It was a shame. The water view is one of the prettiest I've seen around the county, but that manure left an awful stench/taste in my mouth so to speak. read more

Birthday dinner for a party of 8! Pros -able to make reservations online -server was attentive and customer service friendly -restaurant had cute decor, bar, and TVs. Bathrooms were clean -the view is absolutely beautiful -outdoor seating is available. It does get hot and they prop fans out for you! -wide selection of kids entrees -drinks were well made and delicious -desserts were so good!! Churro cake with ice cream was a huge hit with our kids. Cons -when we made reservations online we did select outdoor seating. However, they placed us inside. When we asked about being placed outside, we were offered picnic tables but for a party of 8, we decided just to stay inside -for the price you pay, the food was average. The fried oysters were a bit soggy. The first order of clams we got were delicious. However, half of the clams weren't open. We did inform our server and she did bring us a new batch. We were very thankful. The catch of the day of mahi mahi was a small portion for the $$. The shrimp appetizer was overly salted. Wife and I wanted to go down the peninsula to Lookout Point, but needed to find somewhere for lunch first. Saw a few seafood places along Wynne Rd in Ridge, so went to check them out. The first one we came too was SALT and it looked pretty good, so we just went with it. The food was very good. My wife had the crab cake sandwich and I had the blackened mahi tacos. The homemade chips were excellent. There were a couple times the service was a little slow, but it seemed that they might have been a little short of staff. I know the crab cake sandwich said "market price" in the menu, but $34 still felt like a lot. But outside of the prices, it was definitely the type of place we'd come back to... but maybe only for a special occasion, not just a lazy Sunday afternoon. read more

Our boat club pulled into the Point Lookout Marina and saw a restaurant on site. So of course we had to have dinner there. Nice building with a beautiful back yard for dining, sitting by the fire pit, or even playing a game. We had a large party and our server, Tiara (I think) busted her butt to provide friendly courteous service. Everyone ordered a little bit of everything. Some just apps. Some full dinners. My husband and I had the most wonderful meal at Salt Waterfront in Ridge, MD. From start to finish, everything was incredible. We started with the hush puppies with honey butter which were warm, fluffy, and absolutely addictive. I paired them with a French spritz with pomegranate juice, one of the best cocktails I have had all summer. It was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. For entrées, we tried the catch of the day, snapper, which was grilled to perfection with a garlic basil butter. It came with coleslaw and fries, and I have to say the fries were some of the best I have ever had. They were crispy, well seasoned, and impossible to stop eating. I also ordered the crab cake dinner, and it was a standout. The crab cakes were packed with delicious lump crab, beautifully seasoned, and easily among the best I have had in years. The truffle potatoes were rich and decadent, and the Brussels sprouts were cooked just right, crisp on the outside with the perfect touch of sweetness. The setting felt like something out of a movie. Picnic tables with string lights overlooked the water and gave us the most beautiful sunset views. The playlist added such a fun and relaxed vibe and tied the whole evening together. This restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. I moved from a big city and I've had a hard time finding options in SOMD that I feel are more upscale with a casual feel and this definitely fits the bill. We went on a beautiful spring day and the sunset views were fantastic, the place is well kept and definitely new. What a vibe for summer time - looking forward to coming out in summer and hanging out in their big outdoor space. Service was good - got everything we needed and food came out quickly. Food and drinks - drink menu is full of MD staples and isn't upscale by any means but we really enjoyed the crushes and margaritas. The food was excellent with a great option for more expensive plates and lower cost options. I do think they have an opportunity to improve their entrees to include more options for vegetarians, they gladly modified my entree to leave the sausage off the pasta but I think any modern menu should have ONE vegetarian/vegan option that doesn't require modification. Was visiting from out of town. My family an I tried this new restaurant in the marina. The ambiance was lovely, you couldn't ask for a better scenery for where we were. The appetizers and orange crush drink were the best, the entrees were okay. We had the trio dip, I suggest you have with the warm pitas, not the tortilla chips. The raw and fried oysters were terrific and I loved the orange crush. The service was okay. If I find myself there again, I will just have appetizers and drinks. read more

What a hidden gem! We were driving down to Point Lookout Lighthouse in Scotland, MD and decided to take a break. This restaurant is right on the water has inside and outside eating plus picnic tables and a bar right on the water. Came in and stood at the hostess both for about 10 minutes while one of them stood there and counted menus as if I was not standing there. The other finally asked how could she help me. I asked if they had any business cards and she said yes. However, there were 3 other white waitresses standing there looking and one walked up to her and said something and out of the blue... "Oh no we don't have any business cards". Funny!!! I stood there for about 10 minutes to be ignored and then tell me no they did not have any to go menus or cards. I had a party of about 30 people for to bring but we will never spend our money somewhere it is not appreciated. If they have not been paying attention boycotts are real and they do work. Several people suggested this restaurant to us. We were very disappointed in the quality of the food for the prices being charged. The rockfish was overcooked and bland. The soup did not taste homemade. They also refused to sell an alcoholic drink to our 22 year old son because he had an out-of-state license that was issued before he turned 21. We visited on a Tuesday in July and loved the setting. Being close to a marina, there were quite a few flies, but the staff did what they could to combat that. We had mixed drinks, crab cake sandwiches, soup, and dessert. All exceeded our expectations. Our waitress was super friendly and shared suggestions of where to go and what to do in the area. We have been coming here regularly, wait staff, bartenders, even the owner are fantastic! The food has definitely morphed a few times, but is very solid. The chicken wings have changed for the worse now serving the whole wing, even extra crispy was a little soggy and different temperatures. Sauce is still pretty solid. We hosted our Employee Christmas Party at SALT Waterfront Kitchen. We selected the plated meal option, which provided a wide variety of main course and side selections. The team at SALT worked closely with me and we were able to preorder all of the main course and sides to make the experience better for us and more efficient for their staff. Our party was 50 people, the SALT team pulled off a wonderful experience for us. The food was good and was prepared and served in an efficient time. The servers were extremely attentive and took great care of us. The Bar Tenders provided awesome drinks all evening. First the good: the Server was polite and professional, the food was also reasonably good. the bad: the wait time was awful, an hour and a half to get our food. 45 minutes after we ordered we asked how long it was going take and we were told 5 minutes. 45 minutes later the food showed up. Server was very apologetic - he said something about comping desert - I felt like after that wait time the whole meal should be comped - but "Ok we'll take it". However, when I asked about it, it became 1 free desert, not one for each member of the party. We had all sat there waiting for our food. in their defense, the restaurant had just recently opened, and probably didn't have things running as well as they will in the future. it's a nice location. The food was good and the staff was friendly. I hope they get the rest of the equation figured out. read more

Had dinner here for the first time last night. Not sure what took us so long. It was fantastic. We had the traditional wings for an appetizer (flavor hot). We asked for crispy with light sauce. They came out perfect!! For entrees we had the mushroom/kale/sausage pasta and the fish tacos. The pasta was so delicious - I called it comfort food. The tacos were also very tasty. I loved the jalapeños on them. We also had a couple of beers and they were nice and cold . You cannot beat the location of this place as it is right on the water. It's a little drive but well worth it - especially at sun set. Everything was clean and the vibe is super chill. Service was also pretty much perfect.
