I'm 38, almost 39 and the past couple of years I started to notice a little bit of sagging and fullness in my neck and super loose skin on my upper eyelids. It's been difficult to apply makeup on my eyes the past couple of years. What I liked about facetite is it tightens the neck as well as my lower face and I definitely had fullness in my lower face. Procedure day was great! I took some Valium to help me relax. Dr. Liu carefully marked me and made sure I knew what he was going to do and that I was happy with the plan. Numbing me up was the worst part, but even so, it was completely tolerable, especially with the Valium on board. He was gentle and took his time and after just a couple minutes I was numb and then felt no pain the rest of the procedure. He had some good music playing, I was able to talk if I needed to and he made sure to check in with me throughout the treatment. When we were done his extremely kind and knowledgeable assistant put a compression wrap on me, and then I was on my way home. When I got home I started icing and kept my head elevated. I took two doses of pain meds but honestly I probably didn't even need it. The next morning I woke up with zero pain, unless I touched the treatment areas. But I'm on day three and haven't needed a pain med, except for that first day. I only have three tiny sutures for the facetite. One behind each ear and one of the chin. My neck is SNATCHED and my eyes are like they were 20 years ago. No more wrinkling when I put on eyeliner or creasing of my makeup as the day goes on and I'm so happy with this whole experience. After my consult, I asked about adding arm liposuction. The financing coordinator said it could be added without another appointment, but the front desk told me I did need a second appointment. That kind of conflicting information was frustrating, especially since I have to take time off work. Then the front desk said they would call me back within three days, but it's been over a week, and I still haven't heard anything. I shouldn't have to chase an office for basic communication when I was told someone would reach out. What disappointed me most was the way the front desk made me feel. Their lack of communication, conflicting information, and failure to follow up made me feel unwelcome, unappreciated, and like my business didn't matter. My dr numbed aggressively which is why we had to split into two sessions...it ultimately came down to he wanted me to be comfortable for the procedure so he could do what he needed to do. The procedure itself was only mildly uncomfortable. No pain. Only the awkward discomfort of internal vibrating while he performed the numbing and lipo process. The maneuvering myself side to side on the table was also not painful. Once in a while I would feel a brief zing feeling that lasted for only a second and then was gone but overall, I carried conversation easily with him and the nurse the entire time. The recovery has been good as well. I feel like I've done the most intense oblique workout of my life, but otherwise it's more deep tissue soreness than pain. The dr told me I had deep stubborn fat when he started so this was to be expected. Nonetheless I was down the day of the procedure, loopy from meds but was up and interacting with family all weekend after. I did take it easy, resting when necessary and not lifting anything heavy. I tend to push my body too aggressively in healing so it's important to slow down and listen to yours. The first shower was challenging as I was just hesitant with my muscle tightness and soreness and the tiny incision points but everything went well. Overall step 1 of 2 went well and I am as hopeful for part two -- the actual AbEX and such. The team was great. The dr and nurses were supportive and helpful the entire way and the dr took time to continuously ask how I was doing throughout the procedure which I appreciated.
