Dr. Yamahata failed at relatively simple procedures on my face, a fat transfer, a nip and tuck and a blepharoplasty. All three failed horribly. He agreed to a revision. Another fail. Inevitably he blamed my age, I was 67 years old, and my ethnicity, German, Irish. He said that I was too fair. So apparently, after cashing my $30,000 check, I'm told I'm not a suitable candidate. I had a breast augmentation and lift in February it's been three months now and I couldn't be more pleased with the entire journey so far. I've consulted with Dr Yamahata and been treated by him for a few services. He changed my life. I was 50 when I had my Tummytuck and breast lift and was convinced I was too old for "such nonsense". Why bother at my age? He assured me I was not too old and did an amazing job. Everything looks incredibly natural with minimal scarring. It was my choice to do both at the same time which I would not recommend unless you have a very strong support system at home. The only comment I will make is I think the facility should be updated a bit. It feels very 90's. Before choosing Dr. Yamahata, I did a lot of research as I wanted the best surgeon I could. I was impressed not only by his education, but his licensure, double board certification as well as having hospital privileges at two local hospitals. This is important to know when looking for a surgeon in case of emergencies. The medical staff does very extensive training in case of emergency which made me feel more comfortable going into a 5 hour surgery. Since I have wanted a tummy tuck for over 15 years and have been unhappy with my body as long as I can remember, I wanted to know that I had the best if I was going to spend the money to do this for myself. I have never been happy with my body and never allowed my ex-husband of 20+ years or my current boyfriend of over 3 years see me without clothes on. The affect my belly had on me has affected me for many years. It held me back from doing many things with my daughter. This year I decided to start my weight loss journey. I lost 20 pounds and kept it off. I wanted to make sure I was serious and at a goal weight prior to scheduling surgery. From the time that I had my consult, to meeting with the surgery coordinator, to working with the front office - I felt very comfortable with my decision to have surgery by Dr. Yamahata. I never once felt worried or concerned with my decision. From the time I arrived at the surgery center, got my IV, got marked up and met the anesthesiologist, I felt very relaxed. Everyone in the surgery center was amazing and friendly. When I woke up from surgery in the recovery area, I found out that I had an allergic reaction when I first went under and that was quickly handled by the amazing team. Again, proof that they know what to do when an issue arises. In the recovery room they closely monitored my hives and did not release me until both them and I felt like it was under control. Every post-op appointment was great and all the nurses are fantastic. The front office ladies are amazing as well. Now to the results. It has been two months and I still don't even recognize myself in the mirror. Brings tears to my eyes as I write this as this is a feeling I have never had before. Never in a million years did I think I could have a figure like this. Even when I first came home and was swollen; I looked amazing. I came in January to get a breast augmentation. I chose to get the incision point periariolar (around the nipple) which isn't very common. I looked for a skilled enough doctor to perform the incision without leaving me with nerve damage, bad scaring, or a numb nipple.
