I'm a 43 year old female and had Dr. Green perform an upper bleph. The goal was to look like a younger/refreshed version of myself. I've noticed as I've aged, my eyes have become more hood and I look tired. I met with Dr. Green during the consult and he was knowledgeable and we discussed expectations. I felt comfortable moving forward, so I set up the pre-op and the operation. The operation was done with a local. It took about 45min and the only pain was the local itself. The next day I had massive swelling (this is due to my body and the way it reacts to surgery). Dr. Green's team had me send in a picture and then was able to prescribe steroids right away. I truly appreciate their quick response and their ability to prescribe the correct treatment. The swelling then went down to a more normal level. Stitches came out at day 5 and they were happy with how much the swelling had gone down. I am happy with the results and the care provided. I had an extended tummy tuck and breast augmentation done in September 2022. Honestly, went with Dr. Green due to his results, and my tummy tuck is some of the best work people have ever seen. I can't say the same for my implants. There were no questions about goals, or what to look for. For instance saline vs. silicone etc. Just let me pick with no instruction or recommendation. I also recommend he have his patients flex their pecks to see how muscular their chest is, whenever I flex even slightly they look horrible (causes a temporary distortion known as breast animation deformity), which makes me super self conscious (I went under the muscle but again wasn't educated or asked). The left side is also out of pocket and when I lay down, falls into the armpit. He also didn't go as big as I wanted so I will be having to do a revision and exchange at some point. Only other complaint is they haven't seen me since week 3 post op drain removal. No call back, check in, progress pictures, etc. Very transactional which is fine, but if you want repeat business, it may be worth investing in maintaining contact in some fashion. read more

Neck lift. Truly the worst experience of any surgery I've had. I woke up before they were done -in Pain- but was paralyzed & had to endure. Thought I was gonna die. Felt treated like a lab experiment & also could hear everything they were saying. I then realized Dr. green had a student working on the other side of my face! When it was finally over, the nurse informed me that my blood pressure shot up to 200. I asked to see Dr. green but he'd already left. I cannot express enough the horror of waking up paralyzed yet experiencing excruciating pain while being operated on. I received no apology or even acknowledgement from the doctor. This one's for the hesitant girlies/ anyone considering Dr Green. I went for a consultation recently to get a second opinion. I fell in love with the outcome of a friends surgery and thought the results on the website were great! But waited and waited until 20 mins past my appointment time, only to be rushed through the consultation and I ended up feeling pushed away. Once I was in the office there was a before/ after photo pulled up of someone with implants (which is not what I was there for). I mentioned this while the assistant was explaining the photos but she proceeded. In person, they didn't ask me any questions, didn't ask me if I had any questions either. I rambled a lot because I was nervous but I always ended my thoughts and worries with them nodding at me and ignoring most of what I had said/ asked. They definitely went through their scripted information which can be found on the website. After the consultation I was pointed to the coordinators office who was fine... she was on her computer typing the entire time I was in her office and didn't make eye contact with me once, I had left my wallet in the car and instead of saying oh no worries you can go grab it, she told me to just call tomorrow... I'm thinking that was a blessing after all... Bummed because I really was excited to get my little mommy makeover. I had my money ready and was ready to book before having such a rushed and sort of belittling consultation. I even called back to see if maybe they would be a little kinder over the phone but I was literally told "so do you want to schedule or not?". I'm not sure if I did something wrong... it was very confusing. If you're nervous at all, if this is your first time getting cosmetic surgery, or you feel like you need time and a little extra support about such a huge decision... I would consider going somewhere else. The office seems great for someone who is familiar with cosmetic surgery, who's not hesitant at all and knows exactly what they want before coming in. I mean no shade at all. Just sharing my experience and I'm so happy others have had such a great time. I had surgery with Dr Green in Jan. 2024. I was supposed to have some lipo and my booty lifted. At my preop appt. I had made it very clear to his PA Stacy that I didn't want to do this unless I had a significant improvement, which she assured me he wouldn't do it unless he could make a significant improvement. The surgery was very quick, less than 2 hours. I went in after 10am and was in the RR by noon, home by 3pm (I live 1.5 hrs away). I felt he was very rushed the morning of my surgery and I had to remind him what I wanted done. I know he had more than my case that day. As the months went by I could see my results were minimal. I wasn't smaller, clothes fit the same, booty was still saggy, no one noticed any change (because there wasn't!) I told Stacy at the 4mo PO check I was unhappy and have very little change and she suggested I come back and see Dr. Green. She did not try to convince me I looked better, thank God! I at least can say I appreciated her honesty. I did come back at 6 months and Dr. Green said he could see a huge change in my body, and that the problem is I have a self image issue! Yes he did blame the patient for his shoddy work. I did have an issue with my image and that's why I went to Dr Green, to fix the issue! I did ask him if he would use my before and after pics as advertisement for his work and he said no!! That pretty much says it all. If I had seen my before and after pics, I either would have not had the surgery or I would've gone somewhere else. All I left there with was a huge scar across my lower back, and even the scar looked really bad. Dr. Green didn't offer a revision, an apology, nothing! I sought a revision and had 3 consultations. All the drs I saw looked at my before pics and after examining me said Dr. Green did not remove enough skin/fat to make a difference and left me with poor/no results. They also all said that if the surgery was done properly and with more attention to detail, it would take 5 hours, not less than 2. I have since had the revision surgery and have amazing results, with a tiny, clean scar. My booty looks like a normal booty, the sag is gone and its nice and smooth. What I wanted done could absolutely be done, I just chose the wrong dr to go to the first time. Dr. Green wasted my time and money and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. He will take no ownership of his shoddy work and rushes people through like cattle. Spend the time and $$ to get multiple consultations and look at their before and after pictures, they should have tons. For my revision, I sought consultations in southern CA and out of state and I feel any of the other drs would've done a great job. Their massive photo gallery and references supported their amazing work. My biggest mistake when I started was not getting more consultations, not realizing only having a few before and after pics was a huge red flag about the quality of Dr Green's work, and trying to stay local. You only have 1 body and so take your time when researching surgeons. read more

I had a breast augmentation done and he's a great surgeon. Only been one day, however during my one day post op we found out that I was allergic to nylon which is the bra they gave me and the doctor/nurse told me to just get a cotton bra at a store since they didn't have any... none of the stores had the cotton bras that she recommended. And I had to order one offline and wait until morning so I'm very uncomfortable. I think an office should always have cotton and nylon just in case of things like this happening. read more

I have the correct office, date of surgery was Nov 2019. Understand to mitigate the bad review, one would discount/disclaim the service...unfortunately it happened and what was done, is done! Hopefully, your Oncall system has been up graded and quality assurance has some oversight...also that you have competent professionals in place. Understand, it's good PR for a man to have a beautiful, professional woman supporting him yet Staci PA is probably an over paid piece of made-up eye candy. You can do better! Believe your intentions were good just got caught up with the minutia yet somehow doubt I have been the only one of your clients that has suffered. Take your Oncall/after hours call service calls serious (having an urgent issue that ultimately leaves your client disfigured is not ok), educate your receptionist that if a post surgical patient calls with concerns their schedule immediately or you, yourself), call them back (this is your business and art/work) and don't have PA downplaying things and interjecting her knowledge base over yours! Annoying and makes you seem incompetent. Cutting corners and giving people responsibility that have no business having it, weakening your outcome. Also, the MA that removed my suture and poked me with the scissors on my nose causing a small infection ...come on! I mean, it was bad! I really do hope that you have addressed this issues and/or at least if your client "to be" read this they will be able to advocate for themselves and now be heard! Good luck! read more

I recently saw a patient for a consultation for body contouring. The patient had had a previous tummy tuck. When I went to examine this patient my jaw dropped and I said out aloud "why are you here, you have a perfect body you need nothing, who did your tummy tuck?" She said Dr. Green did my tummy tuck. As a board-certified plastic surgeon has been practicing for over 20 years I know good work when I see it. This tummy tuck was World class and one of the best I've ever seen. in April 2023 I went in for a tummy tuck & breast reduction. I have been big chested my whole life and have always been self conscience about it. I wrote a review right when I was done recovering, which wasn't enough time for everything to settle in. Wanted to write this review after my surgery with Dr. Green. I had my breast lifted and a small implant put in for fullness on top. Six months after my surgery I realize my breast were not lifted. I then was doing my tummy tuck and decided I would talk to Dr. Green about my dissatisfaction with my first breast lift. I ended up going with a larger implant and a second breast lift to try and rectify, the lack of lift and fullness in my breasts. I'm now two years postop. two breast lifts two different size implants. I still do not have any fullness in the top portion of my breast and double the scars. I would fail the pencil test that's for sure. I wouldn't say it to complete waste of money, but I would've saved myself the second surgery, double scarring and the tons of money spent trying to get the look I wanted.. I would say find another dr for your breast. I hope this helps. I spent months and months researching and reading reviews so I know how hard the decision is. read more

I used to hate the way I looked. It was so bad a avoided all mirrors in my house because I would cry because I didn't look like a woman. Dr Green is wonderful in every way you would hope your plastic surgeon to be. His office staff at both the Sacramento and Roseville office are fantastic as well. After working hard in the gym, eating right, and losing my weight, I wanted abdominoplasty with some lipo, so for 2 years I researched doctors. I picked him based upon realself.com reviews and his website of beautiful before and after pictures, along with my gut instinct. I had my consultation with him in January 2015 and quickly knew that he was the one I would pick. He was very honest about the procedure, aftercare, his limitations on what he could do for me. Sooooo...I had my surgery October 14th 2015. The surgical center was so warm amd welcoming. My intake nurse was Margaret, she kept me calm. My preop nurse was so attentive and sweet. JanLynn was her name. Dr Lourim was my anesthesiologist and listened when I told him to please make sure I didn't end up with nausea. Success! Thank God! I fear that more than pain. Dr Green far exceeded my expectations!!. I am only 17 days out and am thrilled by the outcome. Post op recovery is going ok. Ask who will be doing your surgery. Don't assume it's just Dr. Green. Dr. Green and his staff were very kind and informative during our consultations, but I was never told anyone else would be operating on me until it was too late and I was under anesthesia. I had facial plastic surgery in 2020. Dr. Green operated on one side, a new doctor operated on the other, which Dr. Green admitted when I asked later. The result was visible unevenness and a lump on the new doctor's side that hasn't gone away in a year, so it probably never will. It could be worse, but my family and I notice it, and others possibly do as well. I thought the release I signed right before surgery was just for his medical assistants. I saved up for years for this and trusted what I though was one of the best, most experienced surgeons in the area. Please be careful and ask questions. read more

I had a mommy makeover with Dr. Green Feb 2017. I am only 6 weeks out, swollen but I am already in love with my results. He really is an amazing Doctor. Being that this was my first surgery I'd have to be completely sedated; I was a bit nervous.. But let me tell you, I was nervous for nothing!! His staff is nothing less than amazing!!! From the warm and welcoming front desk ladies and amazing physician assistants Stacey and Sherri, to my surgery nurse Taylor and the kind patient coordinator Rosie. I had researched Dr Green's work and was impressed by what I had found, I had made an appointment for a consultation for breast augmentation, because I had a lumpectomy and felt i had a lot of volume lost. My surgery was scheduled and I found out I had to have another lumpectomy so was forced to cancel. One year later I decided to visit Dr. Green again and talk about having breast reconstruction surgery since I was going to have to have a third lumpectomy, his staff said he normally did not like to deal with insurance but was willing to see me since I had been to him for a consultation before. He told me at my appointment that it was very obvious how much volume I had lost and he would write my insurance company and let them know that I had a third surgery scheduled and how much volume was already lost. I waited for three months just to find out that he told my insurance company he did not think it was medically necessary, so they denied my claim. I was confused because he told me the complete opposite at our consultation. I was very hurt and felt that he really did not care about my health only about the bottom line. I decided to see another Dr, which was actually a wonderful blessing because she was fabulous and my insurance approved everything. I'm sure Dr. Green is a great surgeon, but is more focused of the bottom line than the healthcare of his patients.
