Sunny at Fond Memories was so kind and empathetic when she talked to me over the phone. I had just…read morelost Donny, my 10 year-old fur baby. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, May 1st, 2026 at VCA Dallas Specialty Animal Hospital, and I was so overwhelmed with grief that I did not even know where to begin. Sunny was so patient with me; walking me through the online process from start to finish, explaining each segment in detail and customizing my wishes in a way that would commemorate Donny's memory. We opted to memorialize him through his paw print and also create a necklace. When Fond Memories sent the box to our home address, I wasn't expecting to become emotional all over again. His ashes came in a beautiful wooden box. I said a little prayer for him and hoped to the Heavens that Donny didn't have any pain when we had to let him go. His certificate was so beautifully printed and preserved. I held his paw print close to my heart and allowed the tears to fall. The grief comes in waves and never truly goes away. I would give everything to have him here for just one more day. I know that other pet parents who have to endure this process feel the same way. You can't put a price or value on a pet. Suffice it to say, Fond Memories and VCA went above and beyond and did everything they could to comfort and support the pet parents during a difficult time, and I will always be grateful. Heartfelt gratitude to Fond Memories for dignifying Donny and etching a special place in my heart for your kindness and compassion. Bless you. Angels on Earth.

Sunny was amazing very polite. The vet that came to my house was very friendly compassionate and to her time and game me time she wasn't in a rush. When it was over her tech was outside and ready to take Goldie he came in and gently moved her covered her up and off they went. I just received Goldie ashes and paw print was so nice along with a card and packaging was pretty.

The care and attention given to the decedent as well as the entire family was exceptional. Following up to ensure that every detail was covered and nothing was left out. Taking the time to learn about the person and making an individualized service that truly fit their personality may be all in a days work for them, but for the friends and family to be able to have a meaningful way to say goodbye was very special. Thank you to everyone at Ted Dickey Funeral Home for making today a little bit easier.

He was patient, kind, sensitive to our financial concerns as well as how we wanted Kurt to be remembered. He answered all of our questions the same day and helped us write one of the best obituaries I have ever seen. You felt as if you really knew my brother and that was important to me. We have used Ted Dickey's Funeral Home for my father and when it is my mother's time we will use them for her funeral as well. These people nothing but polite, as well as empathetic. Everyone I spoke to at Williams displayed the perfect amount of compassion, while maintaining professionalism. Given the situation, I wouldn't say it was a pleasurable experience, but all of the staff went out of their way to make the experience as painless and seamless as could be.

My family and I have used Williams Funeral Directors twice before, but after this most recent…read moreexperience, we will not be returning. The level of communication, professionalism, and care we received during one of the most difficult times of our lives was deeply disappointing. My loved one passed away on October 2nd, and his cremation did not take place until November 6th with little to no communication from the funeral home in between. It started the night he passed. Their partners took hours to arrive at the house, even though law enforcement had already informed them of his condition and approximate weight. They arrived completely unprepared, and a family member had to help them place his body onto the gurney. It was traumatic and unacceptable. The next day, October 3rd, we arrived on time for our scheduled appointment but were placed in Raul's office while he took a lengthy phone call. He later explained that he had been "looking for a casket large enough," despite not yet knowing our wishes and we did not need a casket at all. Throughout our meeting, he repeatedly joked and attempted to be overly friendly, which felt inappropriate given the situation. One of our requests was to view our loved one one last time, and Raul assured us it could be arranged for the following day. Instead, I received a call the next morning stating that viewing would not be possible "because of his size" and the need to involve a third party, which would result in additional fees. Only after several hours and my firm insistence were they suddenly able to make it happen the same day. Before the services (held eight days after his passing), I confirmed with Raul that a priest and someone to lead the rosary had been arranged. He later informed me that "Maria" from the church could lead the rosary and that I would need to pay her $100 because it "wasn't in the agreement." I reluctantly agreed. It was only afterward that I learned Maria is actually a salesperson for the funeral home. After the services, I asked Raul whether everything had been received from the doctor for the cremation. He said yes and that they were only waiting for the state's approval. Weeks passed with no updates. When I reached out on October 28th, he hurriedly told me they were still waiting on the county medical examiner and claimed he couldn't email me details because he was "out of town." Once again, only after repeated insistence on my part did things suddenly move, and we received the cremation certificate on October 30th. This entire process was far more stressful, confusing, and prolonged than it ever should have been. Losing a loved one is already devastating; families should not have to chase down information, argue for basic services, or experience avoidable delays and miscommunications. We are extremely disappointed in how this was handled and can no longer recommend Williams Funeral Directors based on this experience.
