I then asked her if she would personally pay $12 for what was in front of us. Her solution was to bring out another thin pork chop, which did not resolve the problem at all. This place used to be amazing when the original owner was running it- the food was always fast and fabulous. Unfortunately, that quality is clearly gone. We started off with the crab dip and deviled eggs. Both were great starters. The standout dish for me was the Momo Burger with truffle fries. The burger was cooked perfectly. Not as greasy as burgers at other places. And tasted fresh. The truffle fries had the perfect amount of crispiness and salt. Service was another strong point. Our server was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. If I lived in Charleston and had guests in town, this is where I would bring them to show off the beauty of the city. Aside from the size, it's always cooked perfectly. Great quality meat and not overly battered. My only complaint is I wish there was more seasoning in the batter. However, to offset that, they literally have some of the best cocktail sauce and tarter sauce that I've ever had. I've only had them twice, but they managed to earn a special place in my heart.
