Well worth the short drive into town! Greeted as soon as we walked in. Great BBQ with friendly attentive staff located on the square.

Good overall, but food could have been better…read more.. First off the service was great! Its not too often I find a place that offers carhop type service and it was a nice surprise. The food on the other hand was a bit disappointing. This was my first time here so I ordered several things to try... -Pig tails with cheese. These pre-frozen uniquely cut (sidewinder) fries were good, but had little to no salt on them. The cheese was okay, but quickly cooled and hardened, most likely a Velveeta type product. Not terrible but just not that great. I would have preferred them sans cheese and with a generous amount of salt and pepper. -Burger w/cheese. This looked phenomenal, but was underwhelming on flavor. I can't complain about the size though as it was huge! but again, it was just far too bland, and the bun was actually stale in certain places. Next time ill have to get some sauce on it. -BBQ Pork sandwich. This was not at all what I was expecting! I was thinking I was getting sliced or shredded pork mixed with BBQ sauce and served on a bun, but instead this was razor thin sliced pork (although it honestly looked and tasted like turkey) dry as can be, no sauce and stuck between smashed flat top toasted toast. It wouldn't have been so bad if it at least had a little sauce, but man was it dry. I took two bites and that was it. Based on other reviews and their pics I should have ordered the brown with bark or a minced bbq sandwich. -Fried mushrooms. These were the best thing by far on this visit. Sad, because I'm sure they are just some pre-frozen generic supply house ones, but they were honestly great and served with a flavorful (yet extremely runny/watery) ranch. Bottom line... I'm sure the locals and people who grew up with this place love it for nostalgia etc, but unfortunately I've had far better. I will definitely give them another shot however next time in town since the menu is vast and has a lot of other things that sound good, plus it appears I ordered my bbq sandwich wrong. I will be sure to update this review when I do.

This is such a wonderful place! If you need a sandwich..get it there if you need amazing ham salad…read more(and other deli items )...get it there. If you want the steak soup they serve in Annie Gunns....and I highly recommend it...get it there. And FRESH FISH. Amazing fresh fish. Also highly recommend the smoked shrimp, trout and the crab cakes. I could go on and on...so much goodness in there. The ambiance is a bit snug in there and it might be a bit overwhelming with all the amazing products, but so worth it. Take your time and stroll through. Service can be a bit tricky. Sometimes you need to wait in line at the beginning of the deli area but if want meat of fish you need to wait in that area.. But they are always running at full speed

My BBQ pulled pork sandwich was delicious and so was the turkey reuben sandwich too. They had too many yummy sides to pick from, but the pasta salad and broccoli salad I tried first were so good. I cannot wait to go back so I can keep trying all of the delicious options they serve up.

Now I am not a big fan of BBQ, however Bogarts may have changed my opinion. This was absolutely A M A zing! I had the pulled pork sandwich and Mac and Cheese. I added the sweet BBQ sauce to mine....so moist and good. The Hubby had the ribs and pastrami. Now my husband is a grill master and said the ribs were better than his...that is a bold statement coming from him, however I had to agree. If driving through Saint Louie, this place is a must!

I went to the recommended "good" places and walked away disappointed. I happen to be in Soulard one day and noticed Bogart's closed because they sold out. That's a big green flag to me. Not open Sunday and Monday, green flag. Primarily open for lunch, green flag. I just knew I had to check it out. Finally got the opportunity to check it out and boy was it delicious. I got a two meat plate with two sides. I got the tri tip, ribs, baked beans, and deviled potato salad. The deviled egg potato salad taste like it sounds. It taste like potato salad and and deviled egg had a baby. Never seen such a creation but I knew I needed to have it. The baked beans were out of this world!! Top three baked beans I've ever had!! A little smokey, a little sweet, and just the right consistency as far as thickness for me A1 . The ribs by far the best ribs I've had in STL. Very flavorful and tender. The tri tip it was ok. I've never had it shaved before and couldn't really get a good grasp on the flavor. It wasn't bad, just not the way I've had tri tip previously. All of their BBQ sauces were fantastic as well!! My favorite sauce was the pineapple express. Bogart's has restored my faith in STL BBQ. I was a non-believer for some time . HIGHLY recommend
