For the bacon choice you will get three scoops of rice and two *very small* and thin pieces of bacon (flimsy typical sandwich bacon). You get three slices of Portuguese sausage which I liked better than the bacon. The egg was good, but for the amount of meat it is way overpriced. The food here is pretty darn good and very filling! My husband and I went to the Schofield Main Exchange to look for some travel clothes for the mainland and came here afterwards for lunch. Tried this place after a morning of thowing pottery at the Arts and Crafts Center. Luckily, I had a coupon because my meal was $12! I ordered a small chicken philly with Ultimate Fries and a lemonade. I probably won't be back for a meal. Everything was good, but not good enough to spend as much as I did even with a coupon. Great chicken salad! I forgot how great these salads are!! A few weeks ago I had to clear schoefield Derek's and on my final out it said no earlier than 21 May at a certain time so I came a few minutes prior to that certain time. And lo and behold the finance didn't open till 12:00!! Well for those of you who live in Hawaii I lived in Kaneohe. There was no point in me driving more than 35 minutes back one way to sit down to have to get up an hour later and drive 35 minutes back the other way. Then have to drive 35 minutes back. I have been to this location several times for late lunch/dinner with my parents and haven't had a bad experience. The love their Philly Cheesesteaks. They would usually share the #5 and add the meal with the fries and drink. I rarely come here for lunch; I did once a few years ago and made a recent visit. This recent visit made me wish I didn't come here. My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to eat and decided on Charley's, since he hadn't tried it yet. It was during lunch hour and the line was long, but moves by fast. By the time it was our turn the cashier informed us of their specials. However, I couldn't hear her because it was very noisy. I apologized and when I asked her to say it again, she gave me a look of exasperation so I told her never mind. My boyfriend offered to pay and gave me a $100. I asked the cashier if she could break a $100, she got irritated as if she didn't want to, but had to do it, so I just gave her a $20 and $1 bills instead. The customer service soured my experience. I was embarrassed and mortified with the cashier's attitude since was she open about it. Her attitude changed after I changed my mind on having her repeat the specials and breaking the $100 bill. It was my boyfriend's first time trying their place, after having shared with him me and my parents' good experience here. As I mentioned on my reviews on the other food establishments located in the food court, it seemed that they're focused on getting through the line, especially during lunch hour since it does get really busy. They need to step up their game. I know what it's like, having worked food service, as well as customer service. If customers like your food, they wouldn't mind the long wait and if they had the same inquires other customers would have to wait too. On a good note their Philly Cheesesteaks are delicious, as well as their lemonade, which is refreshing. They make their sandwiches right in front of you like Subway. There are a bunch of options: Manchu Wok (never again!), Subway, Burger King, Baskin Robbins (dessert), Anthony's Pizza, and Charley's Grilled Subs. I LA LA LOOOOOVE Charley's! I live in Mililani so how freakin convenient that they have Charley's on Schofield and I don't have to drive all the way into Aiea to eat a sub at Pearlridge... SCORE! The staff have ALWAYS been nice whenever I've eaten here. Very courteous and polite. The prices for combos are a little on the high end but you do get A LOT of food! I ALWAYS get the bacon 3 cheesesteak combo with gourmet fries (oink oink)! So I get the beef, swiss cheese, provolone cheese, and I think cheddar cheese with 2 bacon strips, lettuce, and tomato on the sub. Gourmet fries have cheddar, ranch and bacon bits... yummy!!! They cook the subs to order so you know you're always getting a fresh meal! The meal with gourmet fries and a drink is almost $10. A tad bit pricey but it's SO FREAKIN DELISH!!! He and two other people weren't sure what it was but they finally made a guess and I ordered that, and dinner for my husband and daughter. Our food came out item by item and he almost forgot my daughters drink. The food was okay, but not great. The lemonade was very good. The grilled subs are on point! Every time I crave for a grilled philly cheese steak sub, this place never fails to serve with perfection! Cheese fries are a bonus too! Not too thin, not too thick, not too greasy. Topped with cheese and or bacon. Lemonade drinks got some diced fruit in them and I like it but a little too much on the sugary side for me.
