Ube mascarpone pancakes! I've dined here and at the Aiea location a few times. To my surprise, Guieb was introducing an updated menu when my friend and I visited earlier today. Our server explained that the menu is more streamlined with favorites. He mentioned that all pancake dishes can be interchangeable to waffles and that the waffle in their chicken and waffle dish can be any flavor! can My friend and I ordered new menu items, the Aria Plate for her and Da 3-Bite Feast for me. We enjoyed our plates! I love when restaurants offer samplers of sweet and savory breakfast items. The ube mascarpone pancakes were as legitimately ube and not too sweet as ever. The crab cake Benedict was great with a crispy crab cake patty and the poached egg a good medium (huge improvement from the bao bun Benedict I ordered for takeout years ago). The egg from the Wagyu loco moco was cooked exactly like the over easy I requested. The meat was moist and the gravy was flavorful. Good to know I don't always have to get the same ube mascarpone pancakes every time! One of our servers seemed a little hurried when my friend just arrived, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. I gently reminded him that my friend needed time to look at the menu. (Maybe he got too excited, haha!) The rest of the staff were friendly and attentive. I seem to forget about Guieb's parking in the back, or even the 1-hour parking around the block. The closest untimed street parking I'm aware of is near First Hawaiian Bank a couple blocks away. Guieb Cafe Wahiawa is always a favorite whenever I have visiting family and friends, or for loved ones moving away.
I ordered the tres amigos! It was all very good! I enjoyed each of the plates. I can't even say which was my favorite since they're all good. For $24 too, not a bad deal! Although I will say the portions are smaller than I expected. The service was pretty good too!! It was a nice casual vibe and I enjoyed eating here and would come back!
I felt right at home here as a Filipina. They were sold out of the prime rib loco moco, so I got their omelet with adobo fried rice and bangus (friend milkfish: filipino breakfast). It was so good and just what I was craving to be honest. It came with onions and tomatoes and the vinegar. I ate the whole thing! This cafe was highly raved about by my boyfriend's aunt, and we ordered their prime rib loco moco the morning of our flight. It did not disappoint! I can see why it sells out so fast. I'll be back every time I'm on the island fr!
Came here for a breakfast heading up to North Shore. Overall pretty solid. I ordered Da Local Omelette with a side of hash browns. I asked for the hash browns extra crispy per my preference and it came out the same as if I didn't ask for crispy so that was disappointing. Meh 1.5/5. The overall omelette was solid nothing too crazy. Couldn't really taste the Portuguese sausage but definitely had spam in there. Solid 3.5/5. What we loved was the friendly service that this location had! Definitely made our morning for sure! Overall solid 4/5, will come back to try other things!
Whoa! I miss having a Loco Moco, and my wife missed having longanisa (both are forbidden in our quest for health food. Screw it! It is only this once, right? This Guieb Cafe does it right! I ordered the Loco Moco Fried Rice - a different take on the run-of-the-mill Loco Moco. Instead of white rice, this comes in a special fried rice, which gives a richer flavor. I loved it! So much so, that I actually finished the plate! The Filipino dish, Lonsilog, had two longanisa patties with rice. My wife ordered it without the eggs, however. The longanisa were as flavorful as I remember, but even more tasty, if this is even possible. Tender and tasty! It was a foodie paradise here at Guieb Cafe. From the delicious food, to the friendly island hospitality -- this was the real deal!
Guieb Cafe= the fusion breakfast/lunch place that does it right! CANNOT go wrong with anything on the menu. We go here at least once a month to treat ourselves even though it's fairly inexpensive compared to other restaurants. Every single worker here seems genuinely happy to be there, and it shows in their demeanor towards their customers. I really feel at home here. But their food? Top notch! Always tasty, well balanced flavors, always plated beautifully with a little orchid on the plate, and always consistent. This time we ordered a garden omelette w/ hash browns, GC's Island Mix w/crab salad and fried rice, and on the seasonal menu UBE DUBAI WAFFLES! All for about $65. We usually get prime rib here but so does everyone else, so you usually have to go earlier in the day before it's gone. I haven't been to their other locations but I'm pretty sure they probably do it just as good. I might get hate for this comment, but I think this restaurant has the potential to be bigger than Zippy's one day.
Stopped in for lunch! I read parking was located behind the building and the alley way to access the parking felt tight and sus, but there were a couple of cars parked there too. There were lots of tables available and we were told to seat ourselves. Service was amazing and everyone was so friendly. My party shared a couple of plates including the monthly specials and adobo fried rice with lechon kawali. Food was very tasty! I really liked the crab cake Benedict and the ube mascarpone pancakes. I recommend this place and would definitely come back again!

The cost for the whole meal was reasonable until I saw the price for the beignets that were the special menu item. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US $25.00 for 4 beignets. (For reference: Price was: 1 for $2.75 or 4 for $10.00) I only ordered 4 (two of the Strawberry and 2 of the Ube so my wife and I can try both flavors), which should come out to $10.00. I confronted the waitress about the mistake, and was very apologetic about the error. She returns to the register to fix it and the total came out to $11.00, not $10.00. The math doesn't make sense. So I approached the waitress and she said and I quote: "We charge the $2.75 price because you ordered two orders of two different types of beignets. Since each cost $2.75, the total comes out to $11.00". THAT WAS NEVER MENTIONED WHEN THE WAITRESS TOOK OUR ORDER OR WAS NOT PRINTED ON THE MENU WHEN WE WERE LOOKING AT THE ORDER I asked her why wasn't this mentioned while we were ordering it, even though she was present when I was having the discussion of the beignets to my wife. All she did was apologize but didn't change the ticket. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I paid the bill and took off. I only state this because even though it is only a dollar, this could have been going on for a good amount of time where they can rack up a good sum of money from customers if they kept this act going. And restaurants wonder why people don't go to their establishments: because occurrences similar to this dissuade people from going out to eat. This is why I check my receipt before paying. *see picture* Don't get me wrong, food was wonderful and the ambiance was laid back and relaxed, but they should make it known of their EXACT pricing before advertising a food item on the menu
Stopped at Guieb Cafe after a recent trip to the Wahiawā Botanical Garden (mini review: too many mosquitoes to be enjoyable) for a bite to eat before heading back to our hotel. We ordered corned beef hash & eggs (me) and the ube mascarpone french toast (hubs). Husband's breakfast was clearly the hands down winner. The ube mascarpone cream was delightfully light and, though sweet, not cloyingly so. Two slices of thick (THICK) french toast, bacon, sausage AND eggs! Every bite was really very delicious. My corned beef hash, sadly, was not. The corned beef was overly salty and was just shredded beef, no potatoes or onions both of which are usually found in hash. Moreover, the meat looked like it sat on the flat top for 45 minutes. Any moisture had been cooked out and what was left was hard as a rock and unpleasant to chew. The restaurant itself was spacious and clean. Service was prompt. Overall I was disappointed and would not be inclined to go back.
YUM! such a delicious sit-down breakfast spot to stop by on the way to north shore! Everything we ordered was a hit. We got the Bangsilog, Prime Rib Loco Moco, Adobo Fried Rice Omelette Lechon Kawali, and the Aria Plate. My favorites were the bangsilog, adobo fried rice, and chicken mango sausage from the aria plate. The food was really top tier in flavor. Service was quite friendly too. Lots of seating as well. There's some parking in the back, but was quite full when we got there. There alley to enter was super tight as well. Would definitely return.
Our server was great - super friendly and attentive. The menu selection is good. We dropped by on a weekend just after 1p and there was parking in the back lot and hardly anyone inside. I guess we missed the rush. I ordered an omelet with fried rice ($4 upcharge). The fried rice was probably not worth it to me, but that may just be my tastes. It was a little too sweet for me. Not sure if that was char siu or something else in there. Portions were generous. Would still come back and try something new - they were out of prime rib by the time we got there, so that must be good.
Wonderful service! They seated our party of 7 immediately. I ordered the Wagyu Loco Moco, beignets special of 4 and tried a bite of my daughter's Ube waffle. All of it was amazing!! Big servings too; couldn't finish our food. I'll be trying the Vegas location next time.
Although the restaurant can get quite busy, service is quick and efficient. There might be a wait for the food, but it's delivered to the table hot and fresh. Everything we've tried so far (on multiple occasions) were delicious. Highly recommend the ube mascarpone pancakes! Parking can be difficult to find, so come early if you can and check the side streets.

The Wagyu Loco Moco was absolutely delicious, easily one of the best I've ever had. The Wagyu beef was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with rich flavor. Every bite paired perfectly with the savory gravy, perfectly cooked egg, over fried rice. The service was outstanding from the moment we walked in. The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel welcome. The atmosphere was clean, inviting, and relaxing, making it the perfect place to enjoy a great meal with friends or family. read more

I was really looking forward to finally trying this place for brunch because it's been on many top lists and the visuals on Instagram made it look very appealing. However, my husband and I were a bit underwhelmed by this. Aesthetically, it is a 10/10 but sadly the taste did not match up to the visuals. The crab cake benedict was dry and we didn't taste much of the crab. We're also from MD so our standards for crab cake are a bit high. The loco moco was a little too salty for my taste. The stand out however was the ube pancake. It was perfectly sweet. The fitness omelette was just okay, and the sweet potato fries were not crisp and went cold pretty quickly. I would still like to give this another try since it's so close to where I live. Luckily, we beat the rush and we got a discount for being there early which was a huge plus! The staff were very attentive and kind. The service was fairly good as well so I wouldn't be opposed to giving other menu options a try. read more

This place was quite a pleasant surprise! We couldn't find anywhere to eat and ended up stopping here on our way to Waimea Valley. This quaint café turned out to be a great find, with some tasty options for brunch. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and grabbed a seat near the window. My spouse ordered the omelette, while I went with the 8 oz. Wagyu Patty Loco Moco with fried rice (for an extra charge). It was hearty, flavorful, and pretty darn good! The ambiance was pleasant, with plenty of seating, and the restaurant was clean and well presented. It had a relaxed, welcoming feel that made for an enjoyable meal. We'd definitely consider coming back the next time we're in the area. And a bonus: parking is available in the rear of the restaurant, which is always appreciated! A great little find when you're looking for a casual brunch spot. read more

If you're looking for unique, GOOD breakfast food, this place is the spot! Their Wahiawa location is the best in my opinion (I've tried all of them) because it's quite large and roomy. We got there around 10am on a Saturday and didn't have to wait because they have so many tables. I love that this location was very kid friendly. Not only did they bring a high chair, but they brought my 2 year old a kids cup. We ordered the fruity pebbles French toast, which tastes like French toast with some crunchies on it. My husband says he thinks their waffles are better than the French toast. We also go their adobo fried rice omelette, which is to die for yummy. You MUST get it with the lechon kawali. Just trust me, it's so good. Lechon kawali is like fried crispy pork and it comes with vinegar dip with onions and tomatoes. It's amazing, trust. Parking for this place is in the back of the restaurant. You have to drive down a tiny alley to get to the parking. It's not ideal, but at least they have parking! read more
Arrived in time for a late brunch and was even more excited to learn that it was Happy Hour pricing! Hash Browns were fresh, not a frozen deep fried square of potato mash. The bacon is as advertised! It's thick and tasty, just be ready for a protein rush, think more of pork steak. It was a bit rich for a breakfast meat and next time I might opt for regular cut. Chicken fried steak received no complaints from my better half and the gravy was equally delicious. Overall, a wonderful breakfast worth waiting over 5 years to try. Kudos to our server who was an Ambassador of Aloha and she's the reason for the extra Star! parking in rear could get edgy when busy, park on street for easier access! read more

Great service and good food! We came with some classmates on a weekend we were visiting family Mililani. Wahiawa is only ten minutes away and we were hungry for some good local food. Especially a decent fried rice. Guieb fulfilled the goal! And was such a nice local restaurant to spend time with lifelong friends. read more
Had to try the OG location in Hawaii since they opened up one in Las Vegas! Great breakfast spot! Staff is super friendly and kind. Had a lot of good options to pick from. Ordered the Ube Mascarpone Pancakes because of the hype but they were delicious! Fluffy and was glad it wasn't crazy sweet! But devoured it because it was addicting. Tried the Prime Rib Loco Moco, and it's massive! But prime rib was cooked nicely but paired great with gravy! Amazing spot for breakfast if you're looking for somewhere to go. Parking seemed a bit challenging for a FYI for tourists visiting. read more

I moved here a little over a month ago, and finding Guieb Café has been the best thing ever. It's super close to where I live, and I am so happy I found it. The Garlic Fried Rice Prime Rib Loco Moco is AMAZING. For just $24, you get a juicy, tender 10-ounce slice of prime rib that melts in your mouth. Smothered in rich brown gravy, topped with a perfectly fried egg, and served with flavorful garlic rice, this is the kind of meal that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate how good it is. The Ube Mascarpone Pancakes took me straight back to the Philippines. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, with just the right amount of ube flavor, and that mascarpone? So creamy and delicious. It was chef's kiss perfection. I didn't want to share. The Adobo Omelette looked delicious. Although I don't like to eat pork, my friend Andrea savored every bite! I'm so glad I found this place. If you love local comfort food with a Filipino twist, Guieb Café is the spot. I already can't wait to come back and try more. read more

We dropped off my father in law to his office and we wanted a quick breakfast. This was the only place open close by. Was a great find, being Filipino I love Filipino breakfast food. I got the omelet adobo fried rice with lechon. Almost like an omurice. If this is the only thing I can eat for breakfast for the rest of my life I will not complain. The freshness of the tomatoes and red onion and perfect paired with vinegar!! No idea why we love vinegar so much but I dip everything in it lol. I can even remember what the wife got but that was amazing too!! Yea I'll be coming back here and hopefully we can come during lunch to order other food. read more

Just got takeout for work, food is wonderful as always. I've eaten in the restaurant a couple years ago and it was also delicious. All the meals are served with a purple orchid (technically edible). I would say they specialize in breakfast/brunch items. I need to try more lunch entrees. read more
One of the best brunch place of the island ! The location in Wahiawa is not too crowded and the service was great ! We order one special made of French Toast with their homemade Ube Mascarpone with eggs and meat; the seared Cajun ahi with fried rice (cost extra but worth it) It was delicious and tasty. The quantities are generous. Definitely a place I will go back to read more
We've been going to Guieb Cafe since they first opened here in Wahiawa and it's been a while since we last came. But recently, I went with my family who's visiting from the mainland and we all left feeling happy and content. (We also just found out that they have a location in Vegas now!) Their staff members were all very friendly and attentive like usual. The restaurant is very clean and even tho they were busy, we were seated right away. First thing I noticed was that they updated their menu. I was so surprised bc they serve country fried steak now!!!! Like ahhhhhh! I was so happy! Not a lot of places on the island has it so I was stoked and even happier bc it tasted amazing!!! Ube mascarpone pancakes are also a MUST here! Maybe my most fav thing on the menu! It's really good, they're very fluffy, not too sweet & just perfect! Their prime rib loco moco was also so very delicious. Huge serving size as well! They sell out so quickly esp during the weekends so just keep that in mind when you go! Now they also offer a Makua and makai moco, which is a Wagyu beef patty and crab cake. It sounded so cool but flavor wise was just okay. Crab cake was made from imitation crab so I don't really care for it as much! Their unique menu sets them apart from other breakfast locations and there's so much more things to try at this place. Overall, all experiences that we've had here have all been wonderful and food has been great. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone I know and we're looking forward in coming back here again! read more

The Waihiawa location is on California Ave directly across the street from the green Great Wall Chinese Restaurant building. Breakfast and lunch sold all day. Parking on California Ave directly in front of Guieb Cafe or parking in lot behind building. Highly recommend stopping by to try each item on the menu at least once to find your favorites. read more

Yes, there's a small lot behind the restaurant. Be careful - it's only wide enough for one car!
Is there dine in?
Went there the beginning of January and they were open for dine in.
Are there dairy-free options?
Yes many. They have meat and potatoes. Do you consider eggs dairy?
Is the dining area opened for more than 2 guest?
Yes. We went in with 4 adults and a baby with no reservations They have gotten quite popular since then, but their dining area is very comfortable and "covid safe" You just might want to call ahead just in case.
