His son even works here and is awesome too! He gives you options on what you want to do the labor is fair and he is always looking to help you understand the problem and will never rip you off. This is the only place I take my van, cars and truck - he is always busy because he is that good and affordable he asks if you want a less expensive option and if you want to use name brand parts or not. Charlie and his wife are the best! I was looking for a Taiwanese owned auto shop (because I am from Taiwan, I want someone who speaks mandarin and preferably Taiwanese as well). Happy new year goodbye 2020 and wow, Charlie opened up for me on New Year's eve. Even though he wasn't taking anybody else with out an appointment, but I came referred by a personal friend. He is so nice genuinely a good guy, absolutely honest to a fault and really will help you out and go out of his way. This is the only guy I would ever take any of my cars to and you should too. I've been going to see Charlie for my car servicing needs for going on 15 years... my feeling has been a good mechanic is like a good doctor or dentist. Unless you know about cars, you have to trust that the mechanic is giving you the truth... like a good doctor or dentist. You have to trust that they aren't up-selling you... and this is where I think Charlie is great. He never tries to sell you more than you need and if something may need replacing in the future but won't affect safety now, he'll tell you that you don't need to fix it now but may need to during your next visit. The fact that there are so many positive reviews shows that my experience with Charlie isn't an outlier... so if you need some work done on your car, I'd say Charlie is worth checking out. read more

I'm always a little leery of places where any one of a number of folks might be performing repairs. I never know if I'm getting a master mechanic or someone that doesn't understand what torque is. That's why I take my vehicles to Charle. He is THE mechanic, and is as honest as can be. He'll let you know if something needs to be fixed (safety issue), or if it is something that can be deferred. He also takes the time to explain the problem(s) and to detail the various options when available. I've had work done where the total was below the estimate. If it takes less time to do the work, he doesn't charge for it. And I respect that honesty. Parking can be a little tough though, so it's a good idea to call to set-up an appointment when possible; but if it's an emergency, he'll do what he can to fit you in. Great guy. A friend of mine recommended Charlies, when I told him how much replacing a motor mount was going to cost at a different place. Charlie, not only came in over $100.00 cheaper, but actually spent time to explain the repair to me, show me the broken part & brokdown the bill, telling me how much the part cost, so I could see how much labor he charged. I I have been back to him since for a noise I was hearing (ofcoarse the noise wasnt present when i brought the car in). He discovered that a couple of parts in the car werent bolted down. Since he was unsure if this would solve the problem, he only charged me for the bolts. As a woman - this is so refreshing, an honest & genuine family business. Charlie was recommended to me by a friend years ago, and I'd never go to another mechanic now. He is honest and helpful, very knowledgeable, he breaks down all the costs of repairs so you can see what you're being charged for, his prices are totally reasonable, he's super friendly, and he has never taken advantage of my blatant ignorance about anything to do with cars. When my old piece of sh*t car broke down, Charlie showed me what the problems were, and explained that he could fix them, but he couldn't say for sure whether the car would run again afterwards. And he was totally fine when I decided I was going to scrap the car instead of having anything fixed. When I was buying another used car he checked it out before I bought it, and has done all the routine maintenance since, and I've never had a single problem with it. Charlie is a very honest person. He will advice you the best course of action that need to be taken when an issue happens. My 2012 Honda Odysseys wobbles at highway speed. Charlie looked at it and root caused the issue to problematic axles and suggested me take the car to Dealer (as it will be covered under manufactured drive train warranty). Our truck had major battery issues and suddenly stopped working. We took it to Charlie's and he greeted us right away! Not some secretary or other worker, Charlie himself! He explained everything that he was going to do and the cost of it. He also took the time to explain things about the car and showed me exactly what was wrong with it. He figured out there was something wrong with the computer or the "brain" of the truck and we decided it wasn't worth fixing and had it towed away. I know Charlie spent quite a few hours on the truck trying to figure out what was wrong with it, but he barely charged us anything! Very sweet man. Definitely recommend his services. read more

I have been to Charlie many times to have my car fixed. As a female, I am often taken advantage of at other car repair places, but Charlie has never tried to make me fix more than is necessary. He is straight-forward, very honest, and I trust him. If he says I need to fix something, I'm fine with it and most of the time he'll say that it's not urgent right now, but he'll check it in a few months. His rates are very good and he's very reliable. On more expensive and extensive work, he will call regularly with updates and explain his processes which I find very helpful. This further solidifies his credibility because he won't make repairs without telling you which also means you won't have charges you don't know about.
