DO NOT COME TO THIS TRUCK!!! I chose this truck late night last night out of 3 other Mexican food trucks on Eagle Rock Blvd and I regret it all the way. I would give 1 star but I'll give 2 just because the Asada Fries I ordered were decent. But for the prices they have??? Oh h*ll no. Who do they think they are charging people 21$ for a medium box of food. On the truck the price of the fries said 17.99!!!! That's already a lot but I decided to order them feeling like spending money for a good meal and when I order with the guy at the register you can just tell he wants your money. Obviously their business isn't going so well so they have to overprice. After reading the price on the truck the guy says ,"that'll be 21$". I'm in disbelief but I'm not cheap and have pride so I just gave it to him. These people are not for the community at all and I do not recommend. You'll be better off going to Leo's taco truck or the place in front of target. Listen to the reviews or you'll be money grabbed like me. I don't usually write reviews but I cant let that slide again. Not to mention the fact that I couldn't even get a fork with my meal and the make you get the sauce yourself. I've been to Charlie's Tacos several times, and the food is always amazing especially the birria ramen and quesadillas. However, my last two visits were ruined by rude service from the same gentleman. Most recently, I went to pick up an Uber Eats order, and despite my order being ready, I was ignored for several minutes. (There was only one other person waiting) When I was finally helped, he was dismissive, unresponsive, and made the experience needlessly unpleasant. The person who takes the orders can care less about you as a customer. Time and time again, he is always fiddling with his phone and when you're up to the window to place an order, he doesn't even acknowledge you. He needs to finish whatever he is doing on the phone before he will take your order. Once you order and pay, the food comes out somewhat quickly. Food, is subpar at best. One of the worst experiences I ever had . I ordered this with uber eats I literally ordered3 burritos for my parents and I my dad was eating his burrito and he bit into something hard. He thought it was a bone and tried to brush it off but instead it was a piece of glass and he cut his mouth open. he then decided to take the piece of glass out of his mouth and continue to find another piece . I've tried to reach out to them multiple times they do not answer the phone. Do not come here. The food is literally deadly. This spot is iconic to the neighborhood. It's located at the corner of York and Eagle Rock Blvd. They are always there late night and their choices are amazing and flavorful. My personal favorite is the carne asada fries but you gotta ask for the nacho cheese. The cheese they put you gotta eat it on the spot if not it dries up together and, it just isn't it. The meat is very tasty so anything you get definitely girly has flavor. You can park in the plaza which is good, but the only downside is that it's cash only. I came here to treat myself after a long day of work. I ordered a mini birria pizza and a quesa taco - paid $22 for the both of them. The girl in the truck yelled my name for my order and the bag she handed me felt light but I didn't think much of it since it was a mini pizza and the taco, but much to my dismay when I arrived home and sat down to eat, I opened the bag to find I only had the 1 taco. So frustrating! I wasn't going to go back out in the rain and across town to argue with them when I knew in my gut they wouldn't refund me the money or give me the food.
