$5 for a homemade biscuit? Absolutely. The chef is incredibly friendly and everything is made to order. Don't miss out!

Great service and great food from this truck! Definitely go here if you're looking for some comfort food. Was walking on York and saw the truck parked in front of berry bowl. Glad I decided to try it because the chef was really friendly and the biscuit sandwich I got was so yummy! Ambiance is chill with a quick service type of vibe. Parking is a bit limited but worth checking out!

Fresh cut hot burrito of sausage ... this was super delicious and potato was so soft. My dad loved the whole frijoles.

I've heard of this very famous business, and when I saw them I was like "hell yeah!" I was very satisfied with my breakfast burrito of sausage my egg was fully cooked all the way through and man attending customers is very polite and respectful. Thanks to the homies for the delicious eatery and true highland park community gem!

The Homie offers an inviting vibe with a carefully curated menu focused on comfort food with a twist. The French toast is a standout, perfectly cooked with a delightful balance of sweetness. The breakfast burrito is hearty, flavorful, and a must-try, while the breakfast sandwich is equally satisfying and delicious. Every dish is packed with flavor, showcasing creative takes on classic comfort foods. The service is friendly adding to the overall enjoyable experience. If you're in area The Homie is definitely worth a visit--you can't go wrong with the breakfast burrito!

Went to the truck and this dude didn't charge me for avocado because he felt bad for taking a day off too nice. Also the breakfast burrito was literally so good and huge for 10$. Bomb. Been in the neighborhood for a year and a new favorite breakfast place unlocked, going to try and bike over more just for this.

If my chicken, bacon, avocado breakfast sandwich ain't messy then I don't want it!!

If you're craving a crazy good breakfast experience without the hassle of going into a restaurant, then I recommend going to the homies! It's literally like visiting one of "the homies" for a small brunch date. It's a small kitchen ran by a 2 to 3 man team in front of what I think is a church. You can park on the street and they have outdoor seating on the lawn. The prices are super affordable and the food is better. It's quite filling and satisfies every craving. The only downside to this is that the parking can be a pain sometimes and the orders may take a while because it is a small kitchen. I've experienced both but it didn't take away from my experience! Go see the homies!

I grew up in Highland Park, and my parents used to bring me here as a kid. It's one of those spots that instantly brings back memories the moment you pull up -- same truck, same incredible flavors. Their carnitas are hands down the best I've ever had -- flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right every single time. I've tried plenty of places over the years, but nothing compares. Ive always loved their burritos and tortas, but lately I've been hooked on their nachos, which are a newer menu addition and absolutely delicious. I'll even have my boyfriend drive me all the way from where I live just to get them! What makes this place truly special is its consistency. The food quality, the service, and even the prices have stayed solid throughout the years. In a neighborhood that's changed so much, it's comforting to know this hidden gem is still holding it down and keeping that authentic Highland Park flavor alive. They're parked right in front of a 7-Eleven, which makes parking super convenient -- definitely a plus in this area. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. Always great food, always good vibes. This spot will forever be one of my favorites.

Maybe if you go more towards the houses you can find residential parking. The area is very nice, posh, and hipster. The bagels are a little bit on the pricier side at an average of $16 or so. I guess it's more like a sandwich with bagels as the bread but bagels are like $3 each at the grocery store. The egg, bacon, and sauces were fantastic. They were so packed with flavor and were warm. My only gripe was they didn't really have many options with no cheese on the menu. I asked for one without cheese and maybe they misheard me but my bagel had melted American cheese on it. It was kind of easy to remove but messy and my hands were super pokey afterwards. Great little sandwich nonetheless. It's moderately filling. I would give 1 star but I'll give 2 just because the Asada Fries I ordered were decent. But for the prices they have??? Oh h*ll no. Who do they think they are charging people 21$ for a medium box of food. On the truck the price of the fries said 17.99!!!! That's already a lot but I decided to order them feeling like spending money for a good meal and when I order with the guy at the register you can just tell he wants your money. Obviously their business isn't going so well so they have to overprice. After reading the price on the truck the guy says ,"that'll be 21$". I'm in disbelief but I'm not cheap and have pride so I just gave it to him. These people are not for the community at all and I do not recommend. You'll be better off going to Leo's taco truck or the place in front of target. Listen to the reviews or you'll be money grabbed like me. I don't usually write reviews but I cant let that slide again. Not to mention the fact that I couldn't even get a fork with my meal and the make you get the sauce yourself. With prices like that you'd think they cater to their customers a little more. I promise you they don't care. Do not eat here.
