If you haven't been skating at Charm City in the past few months, you're missing out on some big changes! With additional warehouse space, the place has nearly doubled. Ramps and stuff to skate are being added as I write. The place is hot--I'm talking about the multitude of ramps, bowls, rails, and stairs AND the temperature up in there. Note: If you want air conditioning, stay inside your house playing video games or go to a mall. They sell cold water, drinks and juices, as well as hot foods (pizza) and snacks. The pro shop is well stocked, too, with a variety of completes, decks, trucks, wheels, shoes, and clothing. I bought my beautiful pink Krooked board there. I love it! read more

Amazing skatepark. My son and I brought friends and skated all day. Food and drink on site are reasonable, wifi is great!

Reminds me of ramp riders in St Louis. Dilapidated.. sketchy, a good word! Dangerous another. Completely messy, unorganized. The newer mini ramp room the only positive. Bathroom is as bad as humanly possible. That toilet should be in a museum! What a dump! Good parks have these things called BROOMS, dust and wood chips aren't good for skateboarding. Plus I know it would be mind boggling, a mop after you sweep. In desperate need of good management and ownership. Fortunately before this I visited the excellent outdoor skatepark of Baltimore... Yeah- it's dingy. But, if you like skating, you won't be disappointed. Tons of huge obstacles to try. Overall slay.

Charm City has so much potential. They have great features, but they are completely overshadowed by the amount of dust. Rather than investing in new features(that they are constantly building), they should invest in preserving and up keeping what they do have!! The park is so dirty it is no longer worth it to go. The last time I went I got bronchitis from breathing in the dust. The mini ramp with the rib has so much potential if the dust wasn't so out of hand it makes it more like a slip and slide. Also don't jump in the foam pit unless you want to get hep c!! I suggest that the park has free lock ins where people skate for free for like 4 hours and then clean for 4! The people who care about the park would do it. You could even offer a free day pass for their help. I think that if they did this once a month it would be a cheap way to improve the park. They also should replace the foam pit with a trampoline. It would be much more sanitary and would also be a fun feature I've never seen at any park. The amount that they invest into building new ramps should be invested into a bathroom remodel, and a deep deep clean. read more

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE FOR SKATE CAMP! We sent our six year old son to a week at summer skate camp here. This camp may be fine for older kids (10+) but I would never recommend it for a younger kid who needs supervision. The owner told me they sometimes have kids as young as five. There is absolutely NO supervision and they do not teach the children how to skate. Instead, they leave the kids alone and expect their peers to help them learn to skate. There was an incident where kids visiting from another camp (11 and 12 years old) bullied my kid. They held him down in the foam pit and wouldn't let him up. There was also an incident where my son could have been seriously hurt. His father and I brought it up to the owner, Jason Chapman, who didn't seem to care at all. Instead he made a stupid joke about it. He, of course, didn't know about either of these incidences because no one was watching the kids. Additionally, there was a day when I picked him up at 4pm. He had not eaten lunch because no one told him it was time for lunch. The other kids who paid to eat lunch there all ate but no one told my son it was lunchtime. He's six years old and has never been in a place where they are not told when to eat lunch. My son also said the bathroom was disgusting. I have heard the same from other people and from reading the yelp reviews. If you feel comfortable with your child having no supervision, this is the place for you! My son only finished 2 and a half days of the week long skate camp. I feel bad that he was there that long. There should be some sort of regulations for summer camp. This place is DANGEROUS for younger kids. read more

I came all the way from Delaware to skate at this park today 3/15/2021 and the staff (mainly a female helped me while the guys were taking care of other around the park) was very kind and the food was pretty good. The bathroom (idk why people are complaining) is what I'd expect for an old warehouse turned skate park. No real complaints there were some old cups and stuff laying around but it didn't affect my skating at all. The "regulars" were also really cool I started today "knowing" an Ollie and "trying" a normal shove it. I left with a much better understanding of an Ollie and how to do it much better and with the POP shove it now under my belt. I will DEFINITELY be back (if possible get more drinks and snacks to offer) read more

I took my 9 and 11-year-old for the first time,my nine-year-old was completely intimidated with all the bikes going around without any management and it's trashy look, My 11-year-old is very outgoing and having a good time until two of BMX guys about twice his age came over to where all the skaters were and one guy block my son from skating and then he Flip him the BIRD And then my son wanted to leave . Friend of mine threw a party for his girlfriend here. Apparently the owner demanded the full rental fee up front (Its usually half before, other half after party). My friend tried to contact the owner numerous times before the party but no response. The place was rented for 3 hours but the owner wouldn't even let them in a few minutes early to set up (there was a band that needed to set up a PA system). There were no fans or A/C and it was about 100 degrees inside. The ramps are in ok shape but need work. Finally, there were a couple of the owner's dogs there. One of them took a big dump on the main floor and a few people stepped in it, including one girl who fell on her ass! There is a much better park with a staff that is more business-savvy across town called State of Confusion Skate park. They even have an "Old School Night" for us old timers. www.sk8222.com. The staff were very helpful. Going at an 'off' time (Tuesday evening) made it easier for my son and his friend (12 years old) to do as much as they wanted without too much waiting, or having people impede your ride. The facilities are fine. I'm not a veteran, but there were plenty of courses for people and I saw varying ages and abilities have any level of course at their disposal. read more

This is an amazing facility, any and everything you could think of they have it. I've never seen so many scooter kids in the same place lol. But surprisingly everyone had awesome attitudes skaters and bikers didn't encounter one rude person. So I definitely give this place 5 stars they even had a foam pit! So overall this is an awesome place for all levels of skill. read more

Park is cool very fun but defiantly in need of cleaning it's super slick and some resurfacing on the bowl that is two different heights and holes and bad warped spots in both mini ramp and mini spine ramp would be nice to not have. But they seem to have started doing some work so hopefully they can fix it up good. read more

I've been back to this park a few times since the original review. It's still fun but each time it's been so incredibly slippery in there it's become dangerous. All the floors and surfaces are extremely dirty which makes them very slick. It's just as slippery under my shoes as it is under my board. I fell a few times from having my board slip out. Please just give the whole park a run over with a damp mop. read more

Nice place and kid friendly. Much bigger than it looks from the outside. Some drugs and alcohol in the parking lot that is not monitored. Inside, the staff and parents and adults that were using the facilities acted with a normal moral compass. Lots of room to improve that is why it is 4 stars. Equipment is out an is obvious they are putting whatever money they are making into work. The broken skateboards would make a unique climbing wall fastened into their rock walls. Nicely sits off the interstate and no parking issues outside the building. It was a good Saturday with the kids. I wouldn't leave young ones with all the older skaters that use this but I'm not trusting anyway. It cost $10 and there was a release form required to be signed. If parents were allowed to ride free I would have rented a bike if it were possible. Good luck. 3.5 stars to be exact heading towards almost perfect. Best park I've taken my kid to this far. read more
