We visit La Jolla every year and I always make a point to stop in here. The salon is very clean and beautiful and the people are always kind and welcoming! They do such a beautiful job every time. Mimi did my nails this time and I'm so happy with the care and attention should took with me. She didn't rush and she made sure everything came out perfectly!

Had a wonderful pedicure today with Morgan! She was marvelous. I got the Boss pedicure ($55) that comes with paraffin wax, hot stone massage, massage and oil and it was literally heaven!!! I asked her to be very gentle like I was a baby and she did just that. It was so relaxing and her massage was heavenly. Also, Morgan was METICULOUS with making sure my nails were perfect. The nail salon is really pretty and relaxing. They say they prefer cash tips so that is what I gave her. Next time I'm in town I am gonna come visit her again. Thank you sweet Morgan!!!

First time here while on vacation for our anniversary. So glad I came! I didn't have an appointment, but I was taken in right away to get both a pedicure and a nail fill. The entire thing start to finish was a wonderful experience. Patty did my nails and did an excellent job. She is a true artist! I showed her the picture that I wanted, and she more than delivered. She was great to talk to you as well. I also got the pamper me pedicure. Both technicians paid such close attention to detail on everything. I will definitely be back when we come this summer!

I did a walk in appointment and was set up with Petty who was FANTASTIC! She paid so much attention to detail And took her time to do my nails! Petty did a great job on shaping and painting my nails. I haven't had a manicure in a while so my cuticles were kinda out of control and my nails have lately been shorter than I like, but they still turned out looking great after this manicure. I wanted a spring green color and they had exactly what I was looking for. I decided to get gel this time but I heard they also offer dip. This was the first time I've tried Charm Nails, and the experience was great. They fortunately had space for me as a walk in on a Sunday, and the salon was clean and appeared to have very modern tools, supplies, and decor. I never got to try the salon that was here before, but this one does look better in appearance. Petty was able to finish up with her previous customer and get to me within ten minutes of my arrival. I really appreciated that no one tried to upsell me during the entire experience, either. Not only are the shapes of my nails great, but there's also no visible bumps in the gel, which can sometimes happen with lighter matte colors. Petty was efficient but also paid close attention to detail with each nail. As I mentioned, I haven't had my nails done in a while so I don't know what the average going rate for a gel manicure is, but this one was $45 and I feel like that's pretty fair. I will likely be back here specifically for my next manicure that I get done in La Jolla.

Amazing hard gel mani by Petty at Charm Nails. She always does such meticulous work. She really pays attention to the little details and the manicures always last so long.

As someone who doesn't get their nails done often and finds the experience to be a bit intimidating, I was very comfortable at charm nails. My nail tech was super patient and kind, and really took to the time to be sure the shape and length of my gel x extensions were what I wanted. My only disappointment was that my tech didn't push my cuticles back or place the gel x extensions all the way back on my nail so even immediately after getting them done they look like they're pretty old / grown out read more

We were in town for a friend's wedding and decided to get mani-pedi's. Found this place while looking for a salon that wasn't too far from our hotel. This one caught our attention because the photos that appeared looked so nice! And woooow our service was even better! We were immediately greeted when we stepped into the salon. My man and I both did the pamper mani-pedi combo and they were so meticulous. I went with French tips for both sets. I wish I remembered their names, but either way, everyone was amazing. I booked an appointment here at 9:30am. They did not show up until 9:40. I was going to let that slide but then my nails came out like crap. I booked an ACRYLIC FILL and he did builder gel on top of my acrylic I already had. He THEN tried to charge me extra for doing the acrylic when they never did acrylic. This place is unprofessional and I do not recommend them. They did not trim my cuticles or anything. Service felt rushed. Vibes were off. read more

Am really bummed because owners are very nice and nail results are great, BUT I picked up a fungus on my fingernails and have to assume it's from the salon (have been going only here for years). Will be a difficult and long road to clear it up. Not sure if they treated me differently because they thought I was in high school but the guy didn't talk to me once. I asked for long nails and they're very short and I wanted a thinner French tip and I told him 3 times I wanted it thinner and it's still about half my nail. It was dead in there and he still seemed to try and rush. Super disappointed I paid $100 for French tip that I didn't even like. read more

I used to go to the salon that was here before and whoa, have these owners made it nice! My daughter and I were able to get an appointment easily and the service was perfect. My daughter gets "Builder Gel" which I had never heard of and her nails look stunning. I got the "Sea Breeze" manicure with a shiny buff finish and it was so relaxing. The gentleman who did my manicure was really attentive and not only massaged my hands and arms but he sensed my tension (I had a very stressful week!) and he got up, walked to the back of my chair and massaged my neck and shoulders! I love this nail place! The ambiance is very charming and posh at the same time. They just opened so all the polish and chairs are NEW! I had MiMi for my fill manicure and she did an amazing job in just one hour. All the staff is very kind and accommodating also, offering beverages and checking in on the service.
