We also didn't feel confident that the allergy was taken seriously. The server didn't ask many questions or clearly communicate any precautions regarding cross-contamination, which is something we've experienced at many other restaurants. The food itself was okay, but nothing memorable. The gluten-free chicken and vegetables were extremely bland and lacked flavor. The chicken also seemed undercooked, which was concerning. We ordered four different sushi rolls, and overall I'd rate the sushi about a 5/10. The spicy edamame leaned much sweeter than spicy, although some people may enjoy that flavor profile. The crab rangoons were decent but nothing special. Throughout the meal, service continued to be lacking. We never received a check-in after our food was delivered and had to flag down our server multiple times just to get water refills. The lack of attentiveness from the staff was frustrating, especially considering the prices. The restaurant has plenty of seating, but it was very loud, making conversation difficult at times. The 泡椒牛肉 remained unchanged from my previous visit - a decent sauteed beef dish with a slight hint of spice and slight acidity to contrast other, heavier dishes. The 水煮鱼片 proved underwhelming. The braising liquid only imparted slight amounts of spicy, as evidenced by its brackish color. It imparted equally little flavors - the fragrance of chili oil and sharpness of peppercorn seemed notably absent. Overall, I would still return to Sei Bar. I know to skip the 水煮鱼片 next time.
