It really is so good here. We went there on the whim on a Saturday night at 6 o'clock and didn't have any problems getting a seat. You need to be patient right now with the staff, they are understaffed and it does take a little longer for a meal. That being said, the food is just always so good. We have been enjoying Mango II since they opened. It is always a treat. When I call for a take-out order they recognize my voice and already know what I will probably order. I have a serious wheat allergy and they have never forgotten that and have made adjustments on a dish I might like so I can order it. They work so very hard and in these times when it is difficult to find qualified staff, people need to have patience with this restaurant and others going through the same situations. Really solid Thai food! I love love LOVE their pad thai! It's not too sweet nor salty. If we are craving for thai food and we don't want to drive too far, Mango II hits the spot. Sorry Mango II, too many issues tonight for me to rank you well. I ordered Pad Thai Country - Medium spice and spicy wings appetizer. Wings were dry, and covered in cilantro (which tastes terrible to me). Pad Thai Country had a weird taste to it. Lastly, your tiny little sign advertising that you charge 3.5% convenience fee for credit card users only. If it applies only to credit card users, it is not a convenience fee, it is a credit card fee. "Due to rising costs of everything" "we're asking you to pay a small convenience fee of 3.5%". I tried to say no. It is not an ask; it is a required. Nice try. My advice - drive on. You can get way better Thai food without all the secret cilantro and mysterious fees. read more

Food was good but prices were shocking. Dishes that I am used to paying 15-18 for were 22-24. For that price they don't even include rice and then they charge to use a credit card and had to be reminded that I was owed change. I had actually intended to leave that change as a tip but it is MY choice not theirs and under the circumstances I left half what I would have. read more

After a long day, we decided to eat at this restaurant. We ordered veg spring rolls, Virgin mojito, veg pad Thai and country pad Thai. Mojito and spring rolls were fresh and good in taste. Things went downhill from there. Our pad thai's tasted the same although one was supposed to have more spicy taste due to addition of Sriracha. Pad Thai's were obnoxiously tangy to a point that my friend was not able to eat and I left it half way since I was not able to bear the tangy taste any more. This was the worst pad thai we ever had. Instead of fixing the situation and offering us something else they decided to charge us for the shitty food with 20% discount on the overall bill. We hardly ate anything but we still paid for it. Absolutely the best Pad Thai around! I love pad thai, and I have tried pad thai from numerous restaurants on the North Shore, and Mango II's stands head and shoulders above the rest. Everything is on point - the tenderness of the noodle, the flavor of the sauce, the balance of vegetables (shredded carrot, bean sprouts, scallions, etc.). The portion size is almost large enough to make into two meals. Unfortunately, it tastes so good that I wind up eating it all in one sitting. I also love their chicken satay. The food here was absolutely delicious! We called on Saturday to ask for a 7:30 reservation, walked in the door at 7:20, and were seated immediately. The restaurant was very full, and lots of people were talking across the room to other regular customers. They were very full, but made certain we had glasses full of water right away. I ordered a Mai Tai, and my husband ordered a Sangra beer. For an appetizer, we got the "Something Grilled," which is 2 chicken satay skewers, 2 beef satay skewers, and 2 grilled pork skewers, with peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. The beef satay skewers were chewy in texture, the grilled pork less so. The chicken was incredibly tender. All of them had great flavor. The peanut dipping sauce had a bit more spice than I expected, but was still incredibly good. My husband also ordered the Mango's Spicy Wings. He enjoyed them, but they were sweeter than he expected. I'm not a wing fan, but I tried a bit of the sauce: definite orange and sesame flavors, lots of green onion garnish, a bit of spice. I ordered the Pad Thai as my entree. My husband ordered the Spicy Basil Fried Rice. Our one complaint: The entrees took quite a time to get to us; 15 minutes or more, even after we were done with our appetizers, and got the wait staff attention to get another round of drinks. One couple seated in a corner raised their voices to complain. However, once they arrived, the food was piping hot and literally steaming. My husband likes spicy food; he took a bite of his dish and said "Wow!" My Pad Thai was absolutely the best I've ever had. I had to stir it around to let it cool off. My husband noted that the steam was billowing off of my plate. His only complaint about his dish was that it had more red and green peppers than he expected, but he admits he's a picky eater. He tried some of my dish, and liked it very much. Overall I am happy we went, and we plan to go back. They even gave out Mother's Day roses to every lady in the restaurant! Exceptionally good food. Everything is made to order, so any extra time it takes to get this made to order deliciousness is well worth it. To kill some time, the Zombie bowl really did the trick along with some phenomenal chicken and beef satay. The spicy rice was amazing, as were both the chicken and beef dishes. The food is incomparable to anything we've had that remotely resembles the Chinese, Szechuan, or Thai restaurants in the area. The ambiance was good, half the restaurant was filled, and there were people coming and going at a fast pace for take-out. Best pad thai I've ever had. It is absolutely delicious every single time. I recommend getting it with the shrimp and crispy chicken. The fried veggie gyoza is also a favorite! Decided to try Mango II since the recent reviews looked good, our usual Thai place is closed, and this place is close to us. Ordered here for takeout during Covid, and we were not disappointed. Their Pad Thai with shrimp is delish- not too fishy, like some places really load on the fish sauce. The Thunder Noodles had a lot of veggies and ground chicken, really good, but it was a little on the spicy side for me. We also loved the Garlic Chicken- the veggies in it are so good, and the sauce had so much flavor. Their chicken satay app was also seasoned and cooked really nicely. Don't forget to finish it off with the sweet mango and sticky rice- my favorite Thai dessert of all time. Prices were fair, and food was steaming hot when we picked it up. Mango II is just about everything I look for in a Thai restaurant - delicious food with great spice combinations, hot soups in cold weather, Thai iced tea in hot weather, peanut sauces, fresh vegetables, and more. The atmosphere is relaxing and casual, and slightly upscale. In true Thai style, the service is friendly and professional; you are made to feel welcome immediately. The menu is very well organized and classified by flavorings and spiciness, plus you can vary it as needed. I always try to get soup. It takes me a couple of sips to get use to their Tom Yum soup because it's slightly spicier than I'm used to in a soup in general, but it's worth it for the deep flavor. Appetizers such as their rolls and gold bags are again full of flavor and complimented nicely by the accompanying dipping sauces. For entrees I've enjoyed their curry dishes, chicken dishes, and just about anything which can come with a peanut sauce. I've never had a bad - or even a bland - meal here. I'm sure all their desserts are enjoyable, but they do such a great job with their fried ice cream, my take has been "Why order anything else?" The one thing you might not get here is Wi-Fi coverage, at least if you have Verizon. I get 0 bars, even in the parking lot. I had to be a bit up the road just to have a strong enough signal just to check in. If Wi-Fi coverage is important during a meal here, you may want to sit near a window. read more

Several years ago my family coerced me into going to Mango II with them. The menu was vast - lots of choices and you could even create your own dish, make it as spicy as you want, etc. I believe I tried the house fried rice which came with chicken or shrimp and vegetables. It was good. Since then I've gone back many times and being a creature of habit have had the house fried rice just about every time, except I like to request it with duck. Try it; it's delicious. If enough people ask for "Seth's famous duck fried rice," maybe it'll land on the menu someday. This restaurant has become my family's beloved place for dinner and special occasions. If I'm in the area and need to grab takeout, I often stop here. Whenever I see other Thai restaurants, I like to check them out, thanks to Mango II being so enjoyable and instilling my fondness for Thai food. I've been to a handful of Thai places around New England and none have yet stood up to the service, prices, and taste that Mango II offers. The staff is very nice and the service is timely and professional. Thana runs the show and is pretty conversational, so extend a greeting and be friends. I'm always treated well, practically like family, when I go in (and nowhere else have I ever been offered something to drink while I wait for takeout). It's nice to eat somewhere that feels like home away from home. I don't have a piranha tank at my house, though! read more

A lovely Thai place on Main Street in Tewksbury. Joined a friend for lunch here and enjoyed a massive beef soup, with large chunks of meat and delicious cellophane noodles. For my entree, the cutely named Calamari Disco offered up spice and a variety of tastes. I was given the option for how spicy I wanted my dish and I chose 4/5. I probably could have easily handled 5 and look forward to trying it someday. Service was friendly and extremely accommodating. The menu is expansive and the offerings quite nice.
