I've been meaning to stop by Charming Fig for the longest time, and I'm so glad I finally did! My mom and I came here for a quick breakfast on the morning of my birthday, and it ended up being the perfect way to start the day. After reading recommendations from other Yelpers, I ordered the Breakfast Baddie sandwich, and wow--it lived up to the hype. I ate it so fast! The combination of melty cheese and the chipotle sauce was incredible. It was packed with flavor without being overwhelming. My mom ordered a mocha, and I treated myself to a mimosa to celebrate. Both were delicious, but what really made the experience special was the thoughtful birthday surprise. Instead of the typical cupcake or scoop of ice cream, they brought me a little "Birthday Brie" with crackers, fresh fruit, and honey. It was such a unique touch, and since Brie is my favorite cheese, I was genuinely so excited. Before we left, I also grabbed a Biscoff cookie. It was huge, soft, and absolutely delicious. I expected it to be super sweet, but it had the perfect balance, which I loved. We arrived right when they opened at 8:00 a.m., and by the time we were finishing up, the café had really started to fill up. It's easy to see why! Love the decor & ambiance. We have visited this place around 5 times and found food underwhelming & a bit overpriced. Just a couple suggestions regarding a few dishes we have ordered which could use some more flavor. Just a recommendation to improve your chicken salad, so it's not so dry, no flavor, needs salt. Maybe add mayo, Dijon, and sour cream with apples and walnuts? The avocado toast needs to have more flavoring other than just slicing avocado on some toast. Toast was difficult to cut. Try using some balsamic glaze over micro greens/arugula and a little EVO would go a long way. Maybe guacamole for the avocado toast and top with a fried egg (not crispy on the edges). We have found Tony Chachere's seasoning elevates many dishes, and would be a great accent for avocado toast ;) The cookies are dry & flavorless, our toddler wasn't interested in her cookie despite the pretty sprinkles. The bacon was candied with a slight kick and just enough sweetness to make every bite interesting. Definitely the highlight of the dish. My breakfast partner ordered the chicken curry on a croissant. The croissant was beautifully flaky and the curry chicken filling was flavorful without being overwhelming--comforting and well balanced. Charming Fig truly lives up to its name. I ordered the stuffed croissant and added avocado. The portion was generous and satisfying, definitely a fork-and-knife situation in the best way. Flaky, rich, and filling without being heavy. The olive oil cake was absolutely delicious. I've always wanted to try, so I was excited to see it in their bakery display! Moist, flavorful, and perfectly complemented by the fresh berries on top. And the cold brew (no cream) Was pure heaven in a cup. Smooth, bold, and easily one of the best cold brews I've had! I really like this place. I've been a couple of times now. It's a little pricey for what it is, but everything has always been enjoyable. I had a breakfast bowl that was delicious. We also came for brunch for a friends birthday and we all had a good time. I ordered the breakfast burrito and a flavored latte. We also ordered champagne for the table. Everything was great. I came here with a gift card because a friend said I would enjoy it. My friend ordered a BLT and a latte. I ordered an avocado toast and an americano. Our total was $46, which is honestly wild for what we received. The coffee was both expensive and flat-out bad. Neither of us even finished our drinks because they tasted that off. Food was just as underwhelming. My avocado toast was literally toast with avocado, hard-boiled egg and a few tiny slivers of microgreens. Nothing special, no real flavor, no extras. My friend's BLT was missing the lettuce and it had a few microgreens but no real lettuce. Overall, it felt overpriced for basic food and poor coffee. I've been to the Charming Fig quite a few times and it's wonderful. The decor is cute, the vibes are great, and every staff member I've spoken too has been incredibly kind. All the food I've gotten has been very fresh. I have gotten the Fig Grilled Cheese and the Curry Chicken Salad sandwich (if force to choose, I would get that Fig Grilled Cheese every day of my life), my daughter (she's 15 months) has gotten the pancakes every time and they're very tasty. Came to Livermore to do some shopping. I saw that this place make their own syrups. We were only going to get coffee,but the breakfast menu looked good. The shop is really big. I assume it must get really crowded. We ordered and took a seat. The lady who took our order brought out the drinks. The latte was not overly sweet,it didn't have the artificial sweetness that most shops relie on. I actually prefer homemade to the bottle syrups. The toasted cheese with apple was great. We recently hosted a baby shower at Charming Fig. From the first visit, we knew this was the perfect place to celebrate the parents-to-be and their upcoming bundle of joy. The venue was inviting, clean, contemporary, and decorated with neutral tones and warm wood tables. The easy elegance and simplicity provided a great space for our garden-themed party. The food/catering was delicious with the highlight being a very beautifully arranged charcuterie grazing board that was sized to accommodate our 50 guests. We also had delicious hot appetizers, beverages including tasty blackberry lemonade, tropical iced tea, and local wine. Having a full-service coffee/espresso bar on-site, the staff created a custom "Honey-Lavender Latte" to fit our garden theme. We exchanged a few emails about ideas, and then we met in person to set a menu and budget. Carly was our event coordinator and she was super helpful. She didn't pressure us to buy more than we needed, and she had great ideas about customizing the food and drinks for our theme. The cinnamon roll latte she suggested was a big hit. Just had lunch here with friends and we enjoyed the food and ambiance. They have a shared parking lot with various businesses and parking was plentiful. Due to having lunch at 12:30, inside seating was all taken. We waited for friends and got a table inside about 10-12 minutes later when a group left. They have tables outside but it was cold and they do not have heaters. You order and pay for your food at the counter, find your seat, and they will bring your food to your table. They have water on the counter for self service and have miscellaneous items (drinks, cheeses, candles, various items) you can purchase too. We ordered a cheese platter, a kid's breakfast, a side of bacon, Italian Stallion toast, half a turkey pesto sandwich with a cup of mushroom and wild rice soup, ultimate grilled cheese, a grinder sandwich, a breakfast bowl, a cappuccino with oat milk, matcha latte with oat milk, drip coffee, and a maple syrup latte. We stopped in on Christmas Eve morning with our family shortly after opening and were the only customers in the café. Two employees were talking behind the register and did not acknowledge us. They then went into the back kitchen while we stood at the counter looking at the menu. Coffee was being made for the employees in the back, and it appeared that online orders were being handled before anyone acknowledged or took our in-store order. After waiting, I had to go to the back and ask if we could order. The response felt clearly irritated ("What do you want?"), as if our presence was an inconvenience. After we were served, no one checked on us, and when we finished and left, we were not acknowledged at all. The frustrating part is that my latte and food were actually delicious -- I just wish the customer service matched the quality of the product. I understand working on Christmas Eve may not be ideal, but if a business chooses to be open, customers shouldn't feel unwelcome. Many locally owned businesses in Livermore create such warm, welcoming environments where owners and managers are engaged with both staff and customers -- and this felt like the opposite. It's hard for me to write this because I genuinely love Charming Fig. The vibe is wonderful, the staff are so sweet, and it's a real gem in the Livermore community. ​Unfortunately, my visit with a friend wasn't the best. I ordered a cold brew with milk and caramel syrup, but I was surprised to find that the "syrup" was actually unmixed chunks of caramel sauce. It made it difficult to enjoy the drink. ​We also wanted to try the olive oil cake. When it was brought to the table, it had a berry compote and whipped cream on top. While the compote itself was delicious, it would have been great if the staff had mentioned the toppings when we ordered. That way, we would have had the option to get them on the side, or opt out entirely. The cake itself was just okay; I've had olive oil cakes before, and this one didn't quite hit the mark. ​Despite this, I still love this place and the people who work here.
