Spectrum has a mobile phone option and they basically scam you out of your money if you choose to return the item. They assure you that if you're not satisfied with the product you can get a full refund within 30 days. Well I sent back the phone within 30 days and when they received the phone I got an email stating "we are unable to issue a full return because of cosmetic damage, water damage or device location tracking (find my iPhone is turned on). So I check my online credit card statement and the "partial refund" they issued was $32 dollars and an additional charge of $188.09. They told me my returned phone was a C stock return and has a flat rate charge of $350. When I called them about this matter they finally explained that there were scratches on the front and back of the phone. Mind you, I took pictures of the phone while at fedex right before sending it off. There were no scratches and DEFINITELY not $350 worth of scratches/damages. I asked them for an itemized breakdown of the charges. They were unable to provide. I asked them for pictures of the damages. They were unable to provide. No where in their return policy does it mention anything about C stock charges and things like that regarding sending back the phone. Please be ware. If you want change write your State Attorney General. On 11/08/2018 I had to once again call tech support for my internet, I was on the phone for 1 hour and 3 minutes with Spectrum. I was only getting 5 Mbps download speed. I tried connecting to the modem and different routers. After trying multiple things with the tech, they finally setup a time for someone to come to my house. They also said that I should think about increasing my internet to 100 Mbps instead of 30 Mbps. This is the second time in a month that they have had to come out. I never had any issues with my internet until Spectrum took over. Now it really gets interesting. I was transferred to someone in sales. This person is going over my account, now they say they found errors on my account. In detail they told me what was wrong with my account, 1st they say I have the premium digital service, I never asked for the premium service. 2nd they tell me for what I am paying I should be getting 100 Mbps. Now I am told that I should only be paying around $90.00 per month, because this is what my neighbors are paying, this person now tells me the address of my neighbor. This is about $40 per month less than I am currently paying for my service. I am now told that they will setup my internet for 100Mbps at no charge and he will talk with someone about getting my bill dropped to the proper amount. After being on hold for 10 minutes this person comes back on and tells me that I am be charged the correct amount and they can't do anything to fix this. If you can find another provider than you will be better off! Spectrum is a greedy subpar company! About two and a half years ago I signed up for internet service ONLY! My bill started off being $40 something a month and, in a few months, raised to $64.99. I wanted to know why it went so high and they gave me some ridiculous reason! I should have ended my service then, but I didn't. Now today I go to pay my bill and not it is $79.99!!! I contact customer service and they tell me I had a "Promotion" the expired and that is why my bill is now $80! I told them I did not sign up for or know of any promotion and that they need to lower my bill. When I told them, I was going to end my service that's when the agent transferred me to a supervisor. After about an hour the best he could do was say if I used my own router it will lower my bill by $5 a month! Are you kidding me?! What is that! They also constantly send junk mail/promotions to add tv and other services nobody wants which is doing nothing but wasting paper and money! They also like to call you several times way before your bill is due to remind you to pay! The only good thing I can say about Spectrum is that I have not had any problems with my internet working but my mother on the other hand has had problems for years with her internet, cable, phone, and security system! All this while raising her bill! Spectrum is TRASH! They are extremely greedy and deceptive! It's because of this GREED that they have lost me a customer and will lose many more. I will be reporting them to BBB! If you are a current customer, I advise you to find a better service provider and if you are thinking of becoming a customer, I would advise you not to! read more

We were happy to try spectrum but that was a mistake. They came to install and needed to run a new line. They ran it through my yard and through my neighbors yard up to their driveway and left the coil of wire heaped in his yard and left. Cancelled the work order . I call almost everyday and get a different story of how they will be right out to fix it but they never show up, call, put the notes in the account. What a mess they made. After reading these other reviews I think we are better off staying with AT&T. Those are words I never dreamed I would utter! It's only been about 5 weeks so maybe I'm just impatient. read more

I have been attempting to have business services installed in my mall location since before Charter purchased Time Warner (over 2 years). We have been here in CT. for 1 1/2yrs. Had Comcast before. Maybe I'm spoiled, but the Charter Spectrum people here are completely not qualified for their jobs. Not once have we been satisfied by anything they have done. Our wiring was laughed at by another electrician. Our televisions work when they want. Our DVR will not record. We were given equipment that we were told was old, refurbished, and who knows. We have had them here, and had the signal resent more times than I can remember. Run before you get these people. I read that they cut the wires on people in N.Y. when they went on strike. We are stuck with them because the stupid community we live in were sucked in by them. Keep running. I live in CT. now. Worst company EVER! They should lose their license and business revoked! Spectrum by going over my statement with me ended up disconnecting my Time Warner Cable Grandfathered account Of 200 MB down to 100MB with out my consent or knowledge until I noticed next the day problems with my internet. When calling back to notify them they said they were sorry but the Grandfathered was deactivated and the account could not be reactivated do to those codes no longer being in existence in the take over. The only thing they could do to get my speed back is to take me to the newer 400MB account at a higher price. I did not ask to lose what I had and I requested to have which was taken off with out my consent to be reactivated. They said they can only upgrade now. Why should I pay for their mistake? Unfortunately their claim is they have no way to override their mistake. Lowering my speed to make it inoperable and then trying to upgrade me at a higher price is illegal. I asked to talk to corporate office and they said they don't have any way to do that. I found it on the internet and called corporate they said they would not allow me to talk to anyone there and if the people that screwed up couldn't fix it neither could they. I called Corporate back again in hopes to talk to someone else. After telling my story to her she just hung up on me. Very professional don't you think? I am going to contact the Better Business Bureau and every other agency until they make this right. You can't make mistakes on their end and end up charging the customer more for it. To many mergers giving these type of company's a monopoly where they can pull these type of tactics. read more

I'm tired of seeing these commercials with this Spectrum executive parading around talking about all the changes that are coming to Time Warner Cable customers. Meanwhile, my on-demand interface is still slower than molasses, the interface is terribly laid out and makes it extremely difficult to locate content and whenever it fails to load, your tech support people say "oh yeah, just reboot the box" like that doesn't take another 15 minutes for that thing to come back up. Instead of wasting money on commercials telling us it's going to get better soon, use that money to -- hmm I don't know, MAKE THINGS BETTER. I hate my Time Warner/Spectrum box so much I just wait until the day after shows air so I can get them on Apple TV. Which brings me to my second point -- Charter "Spectrum" is the third largest pay network TV provider - I should be able to access just about any channel on Apple TV, yet I still have channels (like CBS and CNN) that I pay for monthly that I can't watch on my Apple TV because it does not allow for a TWC/Spectrum sign-in option. In 2016, you should just offer a package where I can use my Apple TV and still pay for service but literally get live TV thru my Apple TV and not have to use your crappy boxes and clunky interfaces to get to my content. While we're on the topic of fixing your stuff and accessibility of content -- since the latest update the "Look Back" (or Start Over) feature has almost completely disappeared from channels and is intermittently displayed (i.e. if I come home after 5pm and the news has already started there is no way to restart it where there used to be). This is very disappointing. You can fix things or the other option is wait until AT&T does it first and starts stealing your customers away and be the "oh yeah, me too!" guy later on. read more

Recently signed up for Spectrum/Charter triple service, thinking we would be reimbursed our early termination fee from our previous WiFi provider. Four months later they are now telling me that a "Hot Spot" does not qualify for the reimbursement. At no time during my conversation with the representative was it mentioned, no where on the contract buyout form was that mentioned. I was told if I had looked at frequently asked questions it was mentioned there, I didn't have any questions so I had no reason to look there. Very disappointing experience, again the big companies get there way and the consumer gets the shaft. read more

This review is limited strictly to Spectrum's Customer Service and not to its local system and technical staff. I have Spectrum (previously Charter Communications) for internet, telephone and cable television in Delavan, WI. I have used this company for many years. In May, I began having service problems with all three services. The local technical staff was able to resolve the problem with the television by replacing the cable box, but the internet and telephone problems remained an issue, with outages sporadic but, on average, approximately 50% of the time, mostly during the day. Numerous calls to Customer Service with varying results finally resulted in my being provided the direct number for a local systems supervisor who, with his technicians, was both diligent and professional in trying to resolve the issues. Finally, everything does appear to have been resolved as of July 1. I had been informed by Customer Service that once the problem was resolved I should call them to arrange for a credit for the service issues. I called today and was informed that I could only get credit for a period through mid-June, since, once I was transferred to the local systems supervisor, no records of the outages or any resolution were being maintained. Neither my word nor the numerous text messages between me and the systems supervisor were sufficient to establish the existence of the claim. After approximately 1 hour on the phone with Customer Service, and being disconnected once without a callback, finally waiting on hold for some time for a supervisor, I was told my credit would be capped to a date in mid-June and limited to one month of telephone and internet and a few days of television. Spectrum's Customer Service people made very clear that their time was more valuable than mine and failed to provide a full restitution. That being said, I was very pleased with the local technicians and system people who actually demonstrated a professional interest in resolving the problem. However, in the world of poor service providers, I am afraid Spectrum's Customer Service ranks in the worst category. read more
