Very Poor service by Poppy Bank!!…read more I opened a high yield savings acocunt at the Poppy bank's branch inside Bel-Air last year and was struggling to increase the transfer limit. After talking to their regional branch people and the manager here at the branch, no change was made and nobody called me back as promised. I also did not reecive the 1099 Tax form for 2024 and I thought it would come online but it did not. I never received it via mail either. This Monday, I went to the branch to request 1099 form which took them at least 25 min to obtain as they could not find it either. I waited patiently at that time. After I came home, I received a call from them that my account is inactive as I did not have any transaction in the account since Nov 2023. No e-mail or app message was sent to me from them before making it inactive. When I questioned this, the manager told me that everything is written in the disclosures signed at teh time of opening the account and obviously we don't go thru those disclosures (nobody has time to do that when you are oprning an account) All other banks generally email you if the account is becoming inactive. I closed the account on the same day, Monday, September 30, 2024 due to having too many issues with them. I am very unhappy with their service and lack of communication of information as I could have waiting one extra day if they had communicated that with me. I don't even know if there is any fair business these days... I did notice that one other gentleman closing his account the same day when I was waiting for my 1099 form. I woould NOT recommend opening an account with them!!

Kinda of that "Cheers" feeling where everyone knows your name. A refreshing change from my former WF Branch in Davis. Employees I have come into contact with have been professional yet friendly, more than willing to help with any issue and expertly trained at his/her job. Does not get any better than that when you are dealing with financials! Especially your own:). Covid was in full swing when I began my relationship with this Branch. I felt confident with the virus precautions in place then and still grateful for the respect they continue to show to keep their employees and customers safe. Highly, highly recommend!
