I've been a Chase customer for many years, but honestly, I find myself coming here less and less. The employees are super nice and genuinely try to help when you need assistance, which I really appreciate. However, the overall banking experience has changed. With more services moving online and fewer in-person options, it's just not as convenient as it once was. The staff does their best with what they have to work with, and I do appreciate their professionalism. If you're looking for friendly service, this branch delivers. The employees here are the reason I'm still a customer. It's a decent bank, but there's definitely room for improvement in terms of accessibility and services offered. read more

Manager is terrible at customer service but it rolls down hill. Tellers are confused when small issues arise and must ask for help from manager who is abrasive when asked for assistance from clients. ( Trust me I wasn't the only one). Manager claims their customer must be this way due to students who arent from here. What? If you must use Chase go to 2nd Street. The one on bellflower sucks. I rarely need services from actual bank employees so this is my usual stop when I get a check once or twice from feds or people who haven't discovered their bank's website or credit cards. Since it's in a strip mall with a ton of other businesses such as Trader Joe's and Target, parking is not a worry, especially on weekend mornings. They have the fancy larger touchscreens on their 2 ATMs and I've never had any issue with any of them not working. Furthermore, it's in a relatively middle class neighborhood (think See's Candies and Lazy Acres a block away) so I've never seen any vagrants or seedy individuals lying in wait for the lame and weak. It's a good time. Go visit them even if it's just to show off or to pretend that you have money. read more

My wife, Piggie, and I are on the market for a new bank since the credit union I am with has decided to go "virtual". Thats right, they are closing all their branches and will be a virtual bank. That kind of doesnt work for us. Once a upon a time I was a B of A customer and with no chance of going back to them we figured lets see what chase is all about. We decided to drop in to this chase branch since its closest to our house. We sat down with Blanca to learn more about what Chase offers and let me say that I was impressed with the Blanca's knowledge and her friendly demeanor really made us feel at home. And the fact that shes bilingual really made my Piggie happy as she is more at home habla'ing espanol. My wife deposited $300 a few weeks ago at the ATM at the chase bank location on Bellflower Boulevard near Stearns in Long Beach. The ATM ingested the cash but did not give her a receipt. She asked the security guard to watch the machine while she went inside to talk to the teller. She was told there was nothing they could do but, suggested she call the customer service line which she did. Happily, the money was credited to our account. However, we just received a letter stating that the bank is taking the money back because they could not substantiate our claim. I doubt very much that they interviewed the security guard, the bank teller, nor interrogated the security footage to verify her claim. $300 is not a lot of money to Chase bank but sure is a heck of a chunk for us. It appears that the bank has no honor and does not respect its customers. read more

Lining up I was thinking, your gonna open another window, right? As many other reviewers have noted, there's a lot of people in here and only ONE WINDOW? My small town bank in Greenfield mass always has at least two. Chase, quit paring down your bottom line here. another window opened and for a moment, there was movement on the line. Then the other teller left and now there's only one window again. I find this odd. Especially at noon, like we are all here on out lunch hour and if we could use an ATM we would, don't punish us for needed assistance. I didn't dick all the points bc this place is clean and busy and there's obviously an effort to keep up, full cubes of business here. But get another teller!! read more

As a black woman in 2022 I should be able to walk into a bank and deposit my checks into my checking account. The teller discriminated against me. She refused to do a simple deposit into my checking account. The teller saw how much money I was deposing and acted as if I was committing check fraud... all because I am black in a decent neighborhood. She would not accept my checks. I asked to speak to the supervisor and she called the supervisor over the phone and I could hear her complain about me wanting to speak with her. Her customer service was very poor. The teller told me to go to the ATM because she would not deposit my check. I have never had anyone do this to me. I plan on closing my account and switching to Farmers and Merchants. Do not bank here. Why have a banker/teller of all they are going to do is provide poorer service then the ATM machine. Machines don't discriminate or disrespect. I had a problem with the accounts and unfortunately they restricted my access due to some complications when I had opened my new account (I am a new customer with Chase). Worst experience ever... cashing a check is like you stole the check they take for ever and if you don't have an account with they want to charge you. Manager asks every customer in line regarding their business to see if their fancy lobby ATM could get handle the request... 0/6 big strikeout. So apparently, machines aren't ready to replace humans yet, but Chase thinks otherwise. After 15 minutes in line with zero movement, had to jam. Ain't nobody got time for amateur hour banks on their lunch hour. Might be time to move the funds to Wells Fargo. read more

I would of rated higher if it weren't for the discrepancy between the information I was given over the phone prior to my visit and what the associate explained. Chase Bank has always provided me with great service. Today, however, Chase went above and beyond and proved themselves "exceptional" in the their customer service practices. Chase reminds me of not too many years back when customers were important. This Los Altos branch has a great staff! Today, I needed a document certified, which only financial institutions can handle. I made phone calls to 17 different branches of 4 major institutions. Only this branch and one other banking institution answered their phone. This Chase branch said they would call me back with an answer, but I kept making calls just in case they could not help. They did call back within 3 hours. The other bank, that picked up their phone, stated they could not help me with my documents at all. I did not leave messages at any of the banks I called, I hung up and called the next one near me. However, within 1 hour, 4 separate Chase banks called me saying they saw a missed call and how could they help me. Seriously Amazing! I have not received a call back from any other institution. The last two years have taken a toll on us all and customer service has been set aside by many. Chase Bank proves tough times or not you can still provide quality Customer care, smile and help without complaint. Bravo, Chase Bank and employees for all your care and assistance! This is a new location for Chase (in the former Blockbuster building,) on the outskirts of the Target/Trader Joes parking lot. I like it because it is new, quick & convenient to get in & out of. 'My only complaint is if you are making a deposit in the ATM it is difficult, as soon as the slot opens a whirl wind of air flies out making it hard to insert your items. Terrible, I knOw!!!
