Unfortunately, I had no issues with this branch until their in-branch ATM accepted a large cash deposit for my business account but failed to provide a receipt or credit my account. I was then told I would have to wait up to 10 business days to possibly see the funds without any proof of the transaction. To make matters more frustrating, there is a fee for large deposits with a teller, which is why I chose to use the ATM in the first place. While I understand this is not the fault of the staff, it is concerning that an unreliable ATM is operating inside the branch and handling customers' money in this way. read more

This is the most useless chase branch you'll ever encounter. The ONLY thing I use them for is getting rolls of quarters. It takes at MINIMUM 30-minutes every time because they are SO SLOW. You don't need to discuss every aspect of the Christmas parade with every customer. They are so obsessed with having in-depth conversations with every customer that you have to remind them to do their job. I'm a hospitality consultant, I teach people how to properly interact and make people welcome. You are doing the opposite. read more

Gone are the days of customer service! After making an appt to open high school custodial accounts for our kids, we had a very disappointing experience with this branch and James Argue. From the beginning, Argue did not seem to want our business. Despite having an appointment, he was unsure if he could help us until he looked at the rest of his schedule. Then once he knew he had an appt an hour later, claimed he did not think he had time for two accounts. More than an hour to set up two accounts when we already had a checking account with Chase? After many questions designed to investigate more Chase products, and realizing that we were just interested in two teenage accounts, Argue was visibly uninterested. Then, after starting the process with one kid, he advised us that an expired passport was not a valid ID. Teens only have school ID, but whatever, gave him a social security number and had picture of the card, but said needed the card. This makes absolutely no sense and when I asked for the policy that requires this, or for the list of acceptable valid ids, he did not have an answer but "would let his manager know our complaint." There was no effort to keep our business, and it seemed like Argue got what he wanted - our appt to be over. While we went to a branch to show our kids the process to open an account, they got a lesson in poor customer service, at the very least. I sure hope nothing else was going on in Argue's decision not to help our multiracial family. It's too bad he seems to have judged us by our casual appearance, when we just closed on the sale of our multi-million dollar home. We will take our business elsewhere, and you should too. I always love coming to Chase because everyone is so friendly! I can say this based on multiple experiences I've had with other banks. I usually don't like to go to the ATMs right outside, so I try to come inside whenever I can. Seta was super helpful when I visited! She had a smile on her face the whole time I was there! She was very conversational and she didn't make me feel like a burden, like other banks. This is why I've stuck with Chase all these years! They're the best! :) read more

It gets one star because the tellers are usually very helpful. But today was a whole other story. I went in with a bag of coins, already in coin sleeves, to deposit. We've had a collection of coins for years and they were just taking up space. The bag must've weighed more than 30 pounds. I'm a stay at home mom and it's pretty difficult to lug a baby AND a bag this heavy. I finally had some child care today and decided to quickly run to the bank. There were ZERO customers, two tellers, and I'm assuming a supervisor. The teller that called me over didn't want to take the coins because "there wasn't room in his drawer". He asked the other teller and he said the same thing. I asked what I could do since I didn't want to carry that heavy bag again. He just looked away without even trying to come up with a solution. I had to bring the bag of coins back with me. This is completely absurd. YOU'RE A BANK! How can you not take coins? I got home and after about ten minutes finally managed to get a customer service rep on the phone. He then proceeded to tell me that k needed to make an appointment for any sort of transaction. I asked how long this policy has been in effect and he scoffed "it's been in place since 2020". This was a regular Chase bank location. I'd understand if it were a Private Client location, but it's not. I'm still in disbelief that I received this kind of service. If you're looking for a new bank.... Keep looking. read more

Let me start off with I have been with chase for over 7 years, and I have always been happy with them. As a matter of fact, I recommend my friends and family to join Chase. I do not normally go inside to deposit my checks instead I use the machine. Today, I went in just to deposit because my card was not working. I was in line and one of the tellers did not even bother to ask me what I came in for. Instead he goes to the person behind me and takes him and skips me. I then asked why the other person was going before me and he responded "he is just doing a straight deposit " then I told him "so am I". I just think that it's wrong that the teller did not even bother asking me what I was there for since I was next. I do not appreciate that type of customer service. Unfortunately, I was unable to get his name. As far as the teller that ended up helping me she was nice and helpful. read more

I had occasion to visit Chase Bank in Duarte, CA last week to be added to a savings and checking account as power of attorney for my friend. It was a simple transaction since my friends wife, who is deceased, was still on all his accounts. It was quite a cumbersome task for the Personal Banker to remove my friends wife from the account and add me as the power of attorney. It took in excess of two hours to complete the transaction and the Personal Banker was tops in the customer service she provided to me. She not only handled this transaction but went out of her way to suggest other services that were a help to my friend in his banking transactions. She is a pleasure to deal with and provides top notch customer service. I am even considering changing my banking institution to Chase based on this very positive experience. Thanks to Ms. Elena G. Worst Bank in town.Never any parking ,by the atms.Went inside to the atm where u can take out a thousand dollars.Then I went up to the teller to cash a cashier check from chase .It was from chase itself.They couldn't not cash it.The first teller said no.But the teller next to her says u can.The first teller then ask the manager Gus and he said he doesn't have enough money. I just asked for my check back and left.When I get to my car .The atm machine inside said my account was over draw on my receipt when I looked at it. I Had to call chase bank at the 800 number to have this mistake fixed which took about 30 minutes to fix. I will not be back again. Will close out my direct deposit and go to a credit union in town or the bank down the street Opus Bank on Myrtle. They have good on their rates on their accounts. read more

I'v made some mistakes and Michael has helped me to stay calm and helped me both in person & also over the phone to get my account in working order. I highly recommend Michael for his customer centric attitude, patient kind nature,his professionalism and knowledge of his bank products. I have been using this branch since I moved to Monrovia in 2008. Good location. Great customer service. I always have good experience with all the bankers in here. Especially Gus, Augustin. I've witnessed him came out to help whenever there seems to have a longer wait, or when the wait list for a baker's assistance is long. He is a true gem for this branch.
