This bank is friendly and pretty quick to make deposits at. I recommend it. There is also a big parking lot around it.

I always avoided this Chase location since I didn't feel the safest nearby. However, I really needed to make a deposit one day and sucked it up. Hilariously, their tellers weren't working behind the desk and instead assisted with deposits at the ATM. Their presence was gladly welcomed, since I had a few bills. The staff member walked me through the entire process and even made sure that I felt safe depositing each stack of bills (small bills / change add up fast over the years). When all was said and done, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes, despite me having budgeted about 15-30 minutes... :) read more

This branch deserves a negative zero stars rating. From the parking lot to the entire banking experience at the branch (whatever exists at this point), it's been surreally rude and borderline insane. Employees locked behind glass. Doors closed. Heads down. At least the aquarium has nice fish to look at. Not sure about the future of banking but if this is it, I choose under my mattress. Seems like every banking establishment is getting taken over or merges eventually with Chase Bank, R.I. P., 1st republic :( Anyway, I digress; this location (called Rose Garden Plaza), is always crowded as it seems to be a hub for Pasadena, Altadena, and surrounding communities, mainly because there is a plethora of shops: Vallarta Supermarket - that's a significant traffic draw, Sally's beauty, Tasty's Donut Shop, Blaze Pizza, Starbucks, and on and on. Beware of the massive parking lot- I've seen at least 10 cars or trucks involved in fender benders through the years- it's like bumper cars sometimes with everyone backing out together so be careful and aware of your surroundings. Police have really cracked down on petty, or sometimes more serious crimes being committed this shopping area, due to law enforcement's diligent enforcement. I love the staff at this bank, always welcoming and engaging and work to promote your own safety, i.e., bank rep asked customer behind me to back up for my personal privacy. The card reader to go inside didn't work so I couldn't get my package from Amazon . No sign indicating that it was broken or unavailable.

This bank sucks. Went to make a deposit and she said I needed id. Didn't have my id on me but I had my debit card and pin which I provided. Told her I had it at home 2 blocks away n I'd be back. Went all the way home to get my id n there was a really long line which she made me wait in again instead of having someone help me. read more

I made an appointment and was never told that the person I was to see didn't come in that day. The person who did talk to me said she had another appointment and couldn't help me. The appointment wasn't there yet (if ever) but she refused to help and told me I should try another branch. What a wonderful way to do business. I wish I could tell you this chase was worse than the rest but I have had similar problems with several branches. Now, I try calling first before I go to make sure the person I am seeing is there except they don't answer the phones so that isn't working out for me either. Chase Bank used to be much better. They must only hire mutes at this location because the tellers never speak or respond to anything you say and instead just look at you. I was in line and instead of saying "next" she just stared at me and didn't utter a word during the whole transaction. Busy professional here...Some bank employees are hit or miss at this branch. Here is my experience today... waited in line, two bank tellers but only one client at the window ... i wait to get called up... I filled out one deposit form but I need a cashiers check too bc I ran out of physical checks, the lady hands me a form and asks me to fill it out (she has a fully signed form in front of her, a better trained employee would have just copied everything over then handed me the form to sign).... then, after I get done, proceeds to tell me that I can't have the cashiers check bc I need two forms of ID (she had my ID already, she could have said this before she asked me to fill out the form). Then, I remember a chase banker left me a voicemail from a few months ago saying he was dedicated to me and to direct all requests to him. I asked the lady st the counter if I had a banker dedicated and she said no. As I was leaving, another lady apologized and wanted more of my time but I was so fed up by the crappy service that I'm just going to find a better chase branch. Looking at the reviews, it appears I picked a poorly run location. Chase is a good bank, and I run my business accounts through there. I will try another chase location in the future. read more

October 2019 Scary trashcan of a "bank." I just needed the ATM, but it only had $100s or $5s (really?), so I had to go inside. There are only 2 teller windows and they are completely covered with very thick bulletproof(?) plexiglass. The teller can't hear you, so you either have to yell your business in front of the sketchy clientele or whisper it through the 1cm opening. Short Review: Small, quaint bank with only 2 service windows. If you're in a hurry and there is a line you'll wait. Otherwise, nice and friendly staff. Long Review: So I had to actually go inside the bank for a transaction. My experience with Chase Banks is that they are always understaffed and tellers are limited in their knowledge of specialty products and transactions. And Chase just sends everyone to the same line. HOWEVER, today at this location, I had the best, quickest service. It was a kinda complicated transaction, and the manager handled it swiftly and professionally. Typical megabank with horrible fees and bad customer service. I have a credit card with Chase that I use quite a bit, and at one point got conned into signing up for a checking account, even though I normally bank with a credit union as I know megabanks are terrible for many reasons. Little did I know just how terrible. I was having lunch nearby and decided to stop by for a cashier's check or money order for some official business, and was surprised to find that not only would they not provide one for free, their fee was FIVE TIMES what the US Post Office or even a grocery store charges. Thanks for wasting my time-- should have just gone straight to my (or any NCUA) credit union and been taken care of for free. The silver lining is that this incident has motivated me to finally get rid of Chase once and for all. Also, this place only has one actual person at the counter-- the other tellers are basically huge tablet computers/ATMs. There are plenty of sales and middle management types sitting around clicking on computers pretending to look busy, though. read more

But it appeared as she was not helping anyone. And asked me to make an appointment to return. No thank you. They were polite. But terrible customer service. This was the only Chase bank branch where you can open a new account on 04/01/20 near my house. I put on my mask and went to three different Chase locations. They said they can't open new account. Really? The Chase bank doesn't want new accounts? It seemed they were in hurry to close bank at 2 pm And one banker told me it will take them more than an hour to open new account. So? And this was the only chase banking staffs with masks and gloves. Very important when you are working with client. Make me feel comfortable and safe. I was introduced to Tim, he was busy taking care of customer. However, after he heard this was the 4th Chase location that I've visited, Tim was willing to help me open a new business account. I have bank account at BOA, Citi, Wells Fargo and met many bankers, but I never met banker like Tim. Very detailed orientated and he knew exactly which business account I needed. I usually don't open new credit card however I could not say no to Tim (offer me better business credit card than one I had) Took him about 40 min to open new business and credit card account. Amazing!!! Next day, I tried to access online account and I had a problem logging in. I call Chase 888 number the waiting time was 45min. SO I called Tim at his branch and told him my problem. He called me back within 3 min along with online TEC SUPPORT and fix the problem in 2 min. WOW!!! Thank you very much TIM. We face the hardship during this unprecedented days, and I understand how interacting with people are extremely dangerous. Came here to make a deposit and something I love about chase is the good customer service and best believe me I've never received bad customer service until I came here. To begin with they don't have any tellers. I was looking for one and nothing. Until I asked and a nice young lady helped me out. Went over to the teller and first thing I see is a guy slacking over texting or watching videos. Greeted him in a nice way and he dogged me and said hi. Very rude guy and wasn't even paying attention to me during my whole transaction. Finally at the end after finishing off his text message he said is that all? I mean yeah it is but why in that tone. Is this the type of people chase hire? Lazy, rude and with no customer service? Please talk to your employees about this because I will never come back here again. This Chase is fairly new and is experimenting with the "mostly machines" approach. Don't bother using them if your paper bills are anything other than crisp and flat. Other than that it's clean, the employees are friendly, and the service is quick. read more

Having moved my banking from BOA to chase, make me visit this location quiet regularly. The staff are all almost excellent. Very friendly tellers, except this lady that works from her desk and I have to go to her for my safe box. I stand in line for sometime and the teller in the window told me to go to her, after I knocked on the door and mentioned I'm waiting, "she rudely replied and told me don't you see lots of people are waiting, go write your name on the list" there was no one near her office waiting, back in the bank few people were sitting. When it was my turn, she was acting like she is the boss and I felt really uncomfortable with her, having gone there many times other staff are so nice and friendly and down to earth.
