Leigh Ann was great. When transferred to Johnny Keshishian, it was a very awkward meeting. He seemed intoxicated, lacked focus and clarity, dropped the phone, and struggled to answer questions. It was a very uncomfortable meeting and i would not do business with him ever again. His colleague on the other end of the phone was questioning the connection as he mumbled. Tried to call the branch to ask a non-standard question. Couldn't even get through. Call system just hung up. Very rude.

In my almost 75 years of living, I have never ever been treated better at a bank. Specifically, I am speaking about Assistant Vice President, Andrew Pijanowski at the Sierra Madre branch. I met with Mr. Pijanowski over an issue I was having with my account. Not only did he handle it efficiently and competently, he made a follow-up call to me to make sure I knew the problem I was having had been resolved. Since the pandemic hit, I have been coming to the Sierra Madre branch of Chase Bank for basic banking needs ie. deposits, withdrawals, cashier's check, check register (yes, I'm the old lady in front of you at Ralph's that pulls out the ol' checkbook) etc. and this branch has stayed open as others have closed. This branch is well staffed and maintained and follows the proper safety protocols. Surprisingly, they even pick up the phone (small miracle these days!) and answer questions in a friendly manner. All in all, a great experience when I bank here. And a special shout out to Eric B., one of the bankers here who continues to provide excellent and friendly customer service. I cannot stress enough how friendly and helpful the staff is here, both tellers and personal bankers alike. Today I had fresh complimentary coffee and cookies as well. And durning the Sierra Madre street festival and also the wine walk, the bank turns it's lobby into one of the food tables and the place smells like garlic instead of floor cleaner... its great... like a bank in Greece, only more stable. And today I found out another service that they offer here: foreign currency exchange. So tomorrow I am coming here to cash out a small stack of British Pounds, much more useful to as dollars at the moment. This bank branch is so refreshing that even if I lived somewhere else, I would make this my home branch. read more

Chase Bank cancelled the credit cards of Retired General Michael Flynn former National Security Advisor. Chase cited "reputational risk" to our company in its August 20 letter "suggesting" that Flynn as a client, made Chase look bad! I've been with Chase Bank for 30 years-- savings, checking, business & family accounts ...until tomorrow. I encourage every Chase customer to change banks. After all, why look like an idiot and a traitor being a Chase Customer. I'll call it ... reputational risk. read more

A shout out to Lillie G., Banker extraordinaire. We have banked with Chase for about 4 years now but I must say I like this branch above all others. There seems to be a strong desire to serve the public from all the staff. When I come early for an appointment I am offered water while I wait. The personal banker experience is fantastic. These bankers know how to meet your needs and maximize your benefits. I love Sierra Madre. There are some schools for the blind here and you will see some blind customers in the bank. This is a small town with a Mayberry feel. Be sure you stop at the cross walks and no U-Turns mid block. I drive extra miles to bank at this branch because of the personalized service. read more

He goes out of his way to make his customers happy and I get matters handled in a timely manner. His positive attitude and work ethics are unmatched. This bank branch is fine, if you need to perform simple banking (ATM visit, deposits, etc.). However, if you need something more complicated, in particular a home equity loan, avoid this location. You are better off dealing directly over the phone with Chase Home Loans (located in Arizona). This branch lacks adequate channels of communications with the national/regional office, which is where all of the critical decisions regarding the loans are made. This branch lost track of which documents they had e-mailed in, on our behalf. They also promised to get back with us at certain points, and then neglected to do so on numerous occasions. Don't risk your critical banking needs on this branch, until they can improve their organization. read more

One thing that really gets me about banks is the way they look at you when you walk in. From the very second I got in line I was being given looks of suspicion and immediate concern. I went in to get change, which we always do because our business is in walking distance. There were about 6 people waiting and two tellers, no big deal. The big deal was the fact that a manager came out to assist those who were waiting... Looked right at me, and went to ask the gentlemen in the business suits behind me if she could help them with anything. I thought, okay... Maybe she'll come back to me after the first... The second... The third... And NO! She completely neglected me! I know I'm young, and not in business attire.. But seriously? She clearly knew I was there, seeing as she really couldn't take her eyes off of me from the moment I stepped in. Now when I was called up to the next teller she was perfectly sweet with me up until I told her that I needed change. Then there was a series of questions that felt more like an interrogation. Went something like this: Well do you have a chase account?? ...or a bank card?? ... Chase Credit card?? ... Chase anything? That sarcastic attitude really put me off. I told her that we usually go there for change and she informed me that they changed their policy. I understand, 100%, but her attitude and the encounter I had with the employee prior was just ridiculous. I guess that's why I'm a Wells Fargo customer. Boo to the service here read more

I joined chase about 2 months ago and have been blown away. The customer service is second to none. Johnny opened up my account and I was blown away. I'm not easily impressed, but this guy was phenomenal! I've also had great experiences with every other staff member. They're quick to pick up the phone and always ready to help you out. I didn't want to be one of of the many people that fell into transferring to Chase bank..but after one visit I can see why everyone banks there. I opened a business account with Chase and had a nightmare experience! They had ridiculous,impossible and absurd requirements for verifying the first check deposit. They have imposed upon my client to an embarrassing degree and placed a horrible burden of proof upon my client even after the check cleared! No other bank has such horrible customer service. I will never deal with them again. read more
