Our most recent experience was much better! We were sat immediately and server was there promptly. I think the server made the experience much better this time around. So props to him! Unfortunately I didn't get his name. The food was all delicious and all came out hot and fresh. We sat outside this time because the day was very nice and service was great. We both felt like we were well taken care of.

The service is friendly and helpful. I had the roasted beet salad with salmon lox. It was outstanding. My wife's fig burger was overcooked and there was no fig taste. But the fries were great. The ambience is similar to a French bistro. We would come again. The drinks were outstanding.

First time I've been to ritters since they opened years ago. Not by lack of trying, just so busy at times I couldn't get a seat. Today we are lucky enough to have a late lunch. We ordered a few items on the menu. As you can see, by the pictures. Atmosphere was amazing. Customer service was great. The food was delicious.I wasn't blown away by any means but it was solid!!! I very much like to come back. And try a few other things I've seen on the menu. Come check it out and please post some images and things that I should try that are must haves!!!

The bucket Bloody Mary didn't disappoint. It's filled with meats, cheeses and pickled vegetables.

Ritter's has an upscale yet casual environment. The menu offers a wide variety of apps, sandwich's and burgers. The cocktail is list is extensive. The service is good, the restaurant is clean.

I love the chill vibe and was very much the place for parties as there were two birthdays going on while we were there. The sound level wasn't crazy though. We squeaked in right at the end of happy hour and I'm so happy we did. The steak bites were soooooo good and to be able to get Gluten-free bread with them was lovely. My partner got a mini charcuterie broad and it was plenty of food for a light dinner. Also, had a pineapple upside down and it was great. Our server was so nice and attentive. Totally a place to try.

We only had cocktails but they were great and so was the ambience. Trendy but relaxed.

Nearby to our hotel (The Grand), Ritter's was very convenient. Nice spot, maybe a little too brightly lit inside to achieve a five-star ambiance, but ok. - Beer tap list is adequate but not exceptional. - The spirits list IS quite exceptional (separate menu - ask for it). I decided on a flight (three 3/4 oz shots) of Speyside single malt whiskys with my wife getting a double of Oban. While we knew the Oban would be top tier, the flighted whiskys were new to us. Weirdly, my order of preference came out opposite the order of aging for the three. - Smashburger: one of the better burgers I've had in recent years. Messy, large. The rosemary fries are excellent. Excellent service at the bar (you can order food from the barkeep directly - no need to go to the counter). No loud music.

Brick oven pizza amazing- even with gluten free cauliflower crust! The bartenders were so friendly and knowledgeable! Makes the best Bloody Mary's also with house made pickled onions on top of it with other condiments & bacon!-delicious! Impressive house-made soups - wish we could eat more for lunch and cannot wait to come back for dinner! The ambiance is lively beautiful and fun! Lots of windows with cathedral ceilings & upstairs loft makes the space open and exciting!

It's always busy here but definitely a downtown hotspot. I've taken several friends there. They've never had complaints.

The house-made tartar and fry sauces were very good. A full house kept the staff busy, but they were still attentive and friendly. A band was about four songs into their set when I left. The house sound system does a great job of making sure everyone can hear the band, but the overall noise level was such that folks had to shout to have a conversation. They do post an entertainment schedule, so if you go there to visit with friends, do it when there are no bands playing. From prior experience, I highly recommend the "Dave's Insane" sandwich.

The atmosphere was cozy and spacious, with plenty of room to relax. I even had to take a work phone call while I was there, and I never felt like I was interfering with anyone else's conversation, which was nice. Overall, I'll definitely be stopping by again soon. I'd highly recommend checking out Ventis if you've never been. They have plenty of options for everyone, and the menu is simple without feeling overwhelming. It's mostly one-sided with a few additional options on the back, making it pretty easy to choose from. I imagine just about everything on the menu is delicious! I was originally going to sit in the dining room and pay full price for what I wanted, but my dining partner suggested Happy Hour. That was the best move we could have made. All of the food was priced at $10. Some of the portions were slightly smaller than the full dinner sized portions. Dulce was our server. She was very nice, but there was a period of time where I wondered when she was coming back. Other than that, she was perfect. I ordered the Happy Hour Bentley's Mac and Cheese, the Bentley's House Salad and the Pork Belly tacos. I enjoyed all three entree's. The Mac and cheese was really good. The bacon dust was small bits of bacon, which I liked. I loved the flavor of the pork belly tacos. I felt the tortillas could have been warmed more so they would have been more pliable and less firm. The house salad was delish as well. The restaurant is set up nicely. I loved the fire pit. The lighting is perfect and the other staff I encountered were very nice and accommodating.. I had a 5pm reservation on a Tuesday and when we walked in, let's just say I didn't need a reservation. However, the restaurant started to fill in as we were leaving.

This place is too lovely to have anything less than a fine dining service standard, and right now it barely hits upscale bistro. Honestly, there are dive bars in Salem with far superior service at this point. I want this restaurant to do well, I'm genuinely excited for it. But there's an immediate barrier: guests have to walk through the lobby, then up a staircase or an elevator all the way in the back, with very little way finding to get you there. It also lacks experience, and that's exactly what diners want these days. People are more likely to go somewhere like Fogo de Chao or Korean BBQ because it delivers a full experience. Right now this place can't even provide exceptional service, let alone experiential service. There are some real barriers this restaurant group needs to solve for long term success.
