I scheduled an appointment for my daughter at this location, and while the booking process was quick and easy and the front desk staff were friendly, that's where the positives ended. My daughter is 13, and I'm encouraging her independence, so when she preferred to go back alone, I waited in the lobby. The hygienist called her in, clearly aware I was her parent. After the cleaning, the dentist came in (walking right past me in the waiting area) to complete the exam and review the X-rays. It was determined my daughter had a cavity. At no point did either the hygienist or dentist speak with me directly. Instead, paperwork was handed off to the receptionist, who briefly told me my daughter would need to see a different dentist and gave a referral. That was the entirety of the communication. I chose not to follow their recommendation and instead sought care with another provider where communication was prioritized and we felt more supported. Clear communication is essential in healthcare, especially when treating children. Unfortunately, this office fell short. I would not recommend. read more

My three children love this office. We were sad when my daughter aged out of the pediatric dentistry side. It does ease our mind to know they walk her over when her appointments are over, because my kid would sit right over there until I came to get her otherwise. So them walking her over makes her feel safe. Each visit we enjoy the personable exchanges we have with all team members. They are always friendly, informative and most of all very welcoming to the kids. My youngest son just started his dental appointments and I was. It sure how he'd do. I was pleasantly surprised at how well he did. They make the experience for kids go so easy. Timely, accommodating and a fun experience every time. We do miss seeing the beautiful bird they once had. Who would've known how hard it was to locate a good children's dental office We have had roughly 3 to 4 dental offices for my 7 year old and I believe we have finally settled on the best office and organization around. We made the change to WMKS roughly 6-8 months ago and have services performed such as extraction and cleanings. WMKS honors appointments and has been on time each of our visits. My son enjoys the party favors that are provided on each visit and I can appreciate the teachings to both him an I on our routine visits. Most importantly, WMKS takes my insurance...every single one of them...as of yet (cross fingers) I haven't had a bill yet LOL. Give them a try if you are looking for a change. read more

This place is AW-SOME!! This is my 3rd time back with both of my kids (6yo and 1yo) for their cleanings. The staff is SUPER helpful and the environment is just overall very inviting for children. Honestly, I wish they accepted adults because I would surely be the first in line! On this day, we had Dr. Johnson and she was very thorough, knowledgeable, and took her time explaining the various issues with me. My son had to also get X-rays and he wasn't even nervous to go in without me while Dr. Johnson examined his sister. When I was making their followup appointments I was super sad to learn that Dr. Johnson would be leaving, but I'm sure all of the other doctors are just as amazing. I couldn't imagine a better children's dentist. I'm so thankful we have this here locally to take my son to. We've been coming here for three years now and my son is so comfortable...he is 6 years old. They hygienists are always very friendly and will engage in conversation with my son as he is very talkative. Flossy the parrot is a huge highlight of our visit. You can take your picture with her if you have no cavities! They give you little tokens to redeem for a prize at the end of your visit as well which any free toy is always a huge hit with the kids, obviously. Highly recommended pediatric dentist alert! I brought my 18 month old in for his first dental check up and cleaning (very overdue, sorry kid!). I walked into a very colorful office and was greeted by a pleasant receptionist. My son immediately climbed onto every Adirondack chair, opened each kids book, touched all that could be touched. Needless to say, I was happy that he was happy. After filling out the minimal paperwork we were seen within a few minutes. Yay for no long wait! The dental assistant that brought us into the exam area was great; she reviewed my paperwork, addressed my concerns and wasn't awkward around my energetic kid. She introduced us to the office parrot - your child can have his picture taken with the bird if he doesn't have any cavities! Man, I wish my dentist did that! Onto the Saint, Dr. Giannina Galliani. She was very friendly and warm towards my son and me. Seeing as this was very new for us, she took the time to explain everything and answered my many questions. She cleaned my son's handful of teeth and was gentle with him. She taught me a great technique to cleaning his teeth and gave me a few supplies to get started. I will definitely be back in six months for another cleaning and exam. I was very pleased to find this office and Dr. Galliani. The only (minor) problem I have is that they don't accept Blue Cross, but I'd rather pay out of pocket for a great dentist than get stuck with a free teeth torturer. read more

I was a bit neglectful to take KJ somewhere unfamiliar, but we were in search of a pediatric dentist anyways. To be honest, my review is very much the same as Yelper, Zel D's...I totally agree! I love the family environment BUT I was totally oblivious to the whole appointment. All I remember was then telling me " Open, nice, Close, Very good, would You like to rinse sweaty ?" My children have been coming here since they got their first tooth. I have a 12 year old son and an 8 year old daughter. They truly make kids smile. The staff there goes out of their way to make my children feel comfortable, explain their treatment. My children get so excited and proud about not having cavities. I just called this dentist office today. I was inquiring on bringing my almost 2yr old toddler in for his first dentist visit. I inquired about the health insurance coverage they accept. They don't take local major health insurance and the cost was $240 for his first visit. Im like he doesn't have all his teeth yet and it's a child. I would understand if It was an adult but this is a child. They might make kids smile with all the hoopla but they will make the parents frown and cry over their prices. Really ridiculous! read more

This was my first time here and let me just say this was the best dental experience ever for my child and myself! From the beautiful, kid friendly murals on the walls, to the friendly staff who endured my child that he was in a safe and fun place. They explained everything to him step by step and he even took a picture with " Flossy" the parrot! I was able to get an up close seat throughout the entire process and they explained everything to me. Excellent service! Dentist took an X-ray to see why a permanent tooth had not come through yet. An X-ray revealed the tooth was twisted & wasn't coming in, & my daughter should have all permanent teeth. Dentist referred us & called the orthodontist a floor above & we were seen by him that moment! I was thankful to "knock out" two birds with one stone. Now we have a plan to deal with this surprise issue. Dentist was very kind to my children, very knowledge when I asked questions. All staff is here is courteous & friendly. Been bringing my kids for 6 years. Now my son is 15, & he still comes & is seen by a hygienist, since he's not a child & has all of his adult teeth. We have had this dentist office since my daughter was one. Lately they have been really lousy. They have cancelled our appointment twice. The first time they tryed to say we didnt even have us on the schedule. Then to top it off the dentist was starting her vacation the next day. Then again yesterday they called and cancelled with 24 hour notice, once again she (the dentist) has to leave early. I am not happy about having my child have to wait. My 7 yr old had one of her baby teeth extracted. Dr. G and Jesi did a phenomenal job at keeping my daughter calm and entertained while administering a couple of shots of novocain. This is a great dental office. I take all four of my kids, and they love it. There is even a pet parrot named "Flossie" who lives in the office. I've never had an issue in making an appointment for all four at once, and once we arrive they see us quickly. I have been here repeatedly & only had one halfway annoying experience. I have taken my toddler son 2-3 (who has a speech delay) & he loves it. Additionally my daughter who has had issues with her teeth due to a biking accident where she chipped 2 teeth. They recommended us upstairs to Dr Hao for a braces referral (which i was suspicious of - but it was 100% legit) & he is an AMAZING doctor. My daughter has had her braces since November 2015 & she is doing great! I really like WMKS because it is really centered around making your kids comfortable for their dental experience. I have even observed them working with handicapped & special needs children (which can be challenging for some parents). I really like this place & i would definitely recommend it, and i kinda wish they took adults lol . I noticed a comment about WMKS not accepting major insurances but honestly have never run into that issue & my daughter has had 3 different procedures done in addition to her cleanings. read more

I would like to preface this Bad review with the fact that WE LOVE Dr. Galliani and Dr. Aguto!! However.. On our last two visit we saw Dr. Hwang and it was HORRIBLE!!!! She is not kind or gentle at all. My daughter had a cavitiy and she was so rough that my daughter came out with a pounding headache and was BRUISED in her mouth for three days. Stay away from Dr. Hwang!!! My child was absolutely NOT SMILING. That was after a wait time of 90 MINUTES!!! Dr. Hwang was so bad the my daughter had a panic attack at 14 years old as soon as we hit the car and I had to promise to never take her back there again. read more

Both of my boys have gone to Dr. Aguto since they were 1+ years old and we've always been happy with their service. Well, my 10 year old son was riding his skate board yesterday and fell face forward and chipped 1/4 of his permanent front tooth. It was 5:30 pm and the Waldorf office was still open. They agreed to stay and xray and put a "band aid" on the tooth and have us come back the next morning. I can not say enough good things about how they cared for my son and made us feel comfortable in a very tense situation. Dr. Aguto was not available that evening and we saw Dr. Karim, whom was excellent. He stayed after hours making sure my sons tooth was cosmetically appealing and most importantly not causing him pain. We then went back to the office the following morning for more xrays with Dr. Aguto, whom was also fantastic. I can not say enough good things about this dental office, we've always had great "maintenance appointments," but I can now attest that emergency appointments exceeded my expectations. read more
