This one is very nice and complementary to a tomato-based pizza.

This is a very classy and elegant place after main highway. You have to drive quite a ways on a dirt road to get to it but it is worth the drive if you are in a car suited for a bumpy dirt road. A very classy and elegant place with a very simple wines. The basic white wine is made of Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay grapes. It is crisp and light and easy to drink. The second one is 100% Merlot grape which is nice drink with a pizza. The zinfandel wine was delicious and very clean and smooth. The Cabernet Savignon was one of the best that I taste it today but the Zinfandel is by far the best one

Just opened up our large format 1997 EL GRAN TINTO that cost $100 and it is bad vinegar. Pretty sad. I have been storing it properly but figured it needed to be opened because it was getting old. I guess we waited to long.

The best place on the property for a tasting.  Seats up to 4 and it feels private (a great place for a proposal).

This winery was amazing. I absolutely loved that it sits away from the road; you have to drive deep into the valley (by deep I mean like five minutes from the main road (Mexico 3, I believe). The service was great during our tasting. One of the only places in the valley you can choose where you take it (two different outside areas as well as inside). We chose to sit outside overlooking the vineyard and the valley. I highly recommend this spot as the best place on the property for a tasting. Seats up to 4 and it feels like your own vineyard. I am not a sommelier but can recommend this winery as an overall good value for tasting, wine bottles, and great tasting wines. Our server (so sorry I forgot your name) was knowledgeable, friendly, and got the timing right between pours. She also made recommendations about pairings, etc. Like in many places in El Valle the roads leading up to the winery are dirt roads. To me, this is part of the charm. If you're looking for Napa, you're doing yourself a disservice in thinking you can compare the two regions. Yes, similar but vastly different.

I really enjoyed this place! It was one of the few places in Valle I enjoyed both whites and reds. The place is no frills. When you go inside there are two tasting bars. We inquired about tastings and each picked a tasting. Seeing we were a large group they recommended we grab seats right outside the tasting room. Our Wine Specialist was great about checking in on us and explaining each wine. He kept track of our preferences making it easy to pick out which wines we would take home. There were several reds we enjoyed. Overall, the wine is great and the service is very attentive!

Nice place! Very friendly staff! Big wine tasting room. Wines weren't my favorites of the area, but they weren't bad. Cool wine cellar, they made fun shapes with the wine bottles, it was fun to watch! (We were chatting about the winery with one of the staff girls at the wine tasting and she mentioned the wine cellar and offered to take us if we wanted to check it out! So if you want to see it, you must tell them, as you can't enter by yourself). We didn't enjoy the outdoor spaces, as the wine tasting was inside.... don't know if you can do the wine tastings at their outdoor areas. Anyway, it's a good stop, but nothing too exceptional from this place. If I were on a tight schedule in Valle, I would be ok missing this place. But if your schedule is not an issue, then sure! Why not try this place out. As I said, good service, friendly staff, good wine, why not?

Off the beaten path of Baja wine show rooms, this cozy bodega offers a feeling of authenticity with a complex pour to back it up.

You have to drive at least 5 miles just to find other restaurants or attractions, and it's about 14 miles to Ensenada if you want more options. The hotel only has one restaurant currently open, and while it was convenient, the food was overpriced for what it offered. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the property itself felt a bit neglected. There were several maintenance issues, including a broken toilet paper holder and a broken shampoo/conditioner dispenser that wasn't replaced until the following day. The paint in the room didn't match in several areas, and overall it could use some upkeep. The pillows were very uncomfortable, and the property was extremely dusty, making it difficult to enjoy being outside, so we ended up staying indoors most of the time. We also booked a room advertised with a "valley view," but our view was mostly trees and a ditch, which was disappointing and not what we expected. On the positive side, the room itself was modern, clean, and nicely designed inside. With a few minor repairs and better maintenance, it could be an excellent place to stay. The hotel was also very quiet, which made for a peaceful atmosphere, although the room had great AC. Overall, I would rate Casa Frida 3 out of 5 stars. It has potential thanks to its friendly staff

Our waiter was great, he gave a lot of great recommendations as far as beer and how to eat the oysters. My husband enjoyed his oysters with the sauces and his octopus tacos. My daughter just got the pizza which she enjoyed (loved that is was sourdough) and I just got some basic tacos wasn't too hungry. I also got the granizado con fresa! It was delicious ! After we ate we walked around for a bit and bought some beer at the store. It's a really nice place for pictures.

My friends and I weren't too sure of how the process would be since they picked us up after we walked across the border. We booked our rides through WhatsApp and the communication was super easy. They were super responsive, and the day before our designated rides, they shared the driver's number for us to connect directly. Our driver down to Valle was named Elias and made the whole process so simple! He picked us right outside of where we came out after crossing the border. He was super friendly and wanted to make sure we were comfortable for the drive. He told us a little bit about Valle and how he's lived there for 25 years. On my way back, I had a different driver, who was Natalie. She was super nice and the ride back was so quick, probably because it was the morning and traffic wasn't too bad in Tijuana yet. She was helpful in directing me to find the line to cross the border. Without the direction from her, I would have definitely been confused. They made this whole process so seamless! They were on time and available for all the questions I had leading up to the rides as well. I will for sure use them in the future any time I'm traveling somewhere driving distance in Mexico!

The wines were fantastic, but what really made the experience stand out was the service. Everyone we interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely excited to share their wines and story with us. Our sommelier was especially wonderful and made the tasting feel personal and relaxed rather than rushed or scripted. One of our favorite parts of the visit was the chocolate and wine pairing that my husband and I did together. Every pairing was thoughtfully put together, and it was so much fun discovering how the flavors changed and complemented each other with every sip and bite. The best surprise of the day? Finding out our sommelier was from the 805! As fellow Central Coast locals, it made the experience feel even more special and gave us an instant connection that we definitely weren't expecting to find in the middle of wine country in Baja.

Those areas reportedly remained empty. Conflicting information: One server said we could order à la carte, while another later said only the buffet was available. The captain ultimately denied the request. Poor beverage quality: The Americano coffees appeared to be regular drip coffee, and the orange juice seemed watered down. Slow and inattentive service: Sugar and milk took a long time to arrive, and afterward the servers did not check on our table until we requested the bill. Given the lack of service and the misleading or inconsistent information, we felt the experience did not warrant a tip. The problem wasn't just one minor issue--it was a pattern of poor hospitality, inflexibility, and contradictory communication.
