    Lobster roll

Incredible!! This is a must stop place if you're in Chatham. We split a lobster roll and clam chowder. The lobster roll came with fries that were so good too. This was hands down the best clam chowder we had while in Boston and on the Cape. Can't wait to go back!

Had many lobster rolls on Cape Cod. This one is most generous with huge chunks of claw and tail meat. Tasted really fresh. And who doesn't enjoy chomping on the roll while watching the local fishermen unload their daily catch from an upper viewing deck at the pier. Been doing this since I was a kid. Never disappoints. Be patient parking your vehicle. It can be a challenge during the summer.

Parking was pesky - you have to be patient. We mobile ordered and it was ready within minutes! The area is beautiful. Unmatched. The lobster roll is the best and we also got clam fritters. Such a great day trip

The best lobster roll I've ever had. 6oz of meat for $39 - a great deal! The largest lobster roll I found on the cape. Served with fries & coleslaw too. Order inside, pickup outside. Nowhere to sit inside, but some benches outside. It gets busy.

Really cool setting by the fish docks. You can watch the fisherman come in and unload their catch while the seals swim around the docks. Parking is very limited and the spaces are extremely tiny. The fish market restaurant is no-frills, and limited picnic table seating outside. I had the lobster melt with fries and coleslaw. Really good sandwich and I would recommend it. Lots of menu options. Service was quick and adequate.

One of the best lobster rolls I've ever had! The lobster was super fresh with a natural sweetness, and the mayo was just right, present but not overpowering. The brioche bun? Toasted to absolute perfection. I also got the clam chowder. It was lighter and less creamy than what I'm used to, but still so flavorful that I enjoyed every bite. We sat outside at the picnic tables and took a stroll on the pier afterward. honestly, the perfect evening. Can't wait to come back!

I ordered the scallops with onion rings and coleslaw... AMAZING! By far the best scallops I've ever had (including The Squire). The were very lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. The tarter has a really fresh flavor with a bit of dill I think. I love that it came with fresh lemon to enhance the natural flavors of the fresh scallops. The coleslaw was fresh, cold and delicious. We sat at a picnic table watching the boats come in to deliver fresh fish off the docks. Highly recommend! I ate it up so fast I forgot to take a picture but very generous portion...

you can see seals at the pier! So cute

The best lobster roll I had while in Cape Cod--and I tried many! The one at Chatham Pier Fish Market was hands down the winner. It was about $45 with tip, but the portion was huge, the lobster was super fresh, and it came with really good fries. Honestly, you could easily split it between two people and still be full. There are picnic benches outside to sit and eat, which adds to the casual, seaside vibe. It does get crowded quickly, though, so you may have to scout around a bit to find a spot. The staff was very nice, and the location is awesome--you can walk right over to the pier, see seals swimming, and watch fishing boats coming and going, which made the whole experience even more memorable. If you're in Chatham, this place is a must-visit. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

We stopped here halfway through our ride down the bike route and loop in Chatham. It's a fish market and restaurant right by the pier where you can watch the fishermen unload their catch as well as seals swimming around hoping for a fish! There's not a ton of seating for a busy place, some picnic tables scattered around as long as the weather is good. There are a couple benches up on the pier viewing platform that you could sit on and eat. There is an elevator to get up to the platform if you're unable to do stairs which is great. Ok, onto the food. Whooooa this has to be the best lobster roll on the cape. It must be close to 1/2lb of huge, succulent chunks of claw and knuckle meat. The cold roll is ever so lightly dressed in mayo, with a layer of lettuce on the bottom. It does add a nice refreshing crunch. Honestly I'm kicking myself a little for not getting the hot buttered roll because I bet it's mind blowing. Next time! The roll comes with fries and really good mustardy coleslaw. It was $38 in June 25, and if you know the average price of a lobster roll you'll understand this is a killer deal especially for an enormous roll. My husband got a seared tuna sandwich that was also amazing. Beautiful fresh tuna cooked rare on a fresh brioche bun with pickled onions, lettuce, and mayo. He loved it! They're also a fabulous fish market. We brought a cooler with us so we bought some striped bass to cook for dinner and it was wonderful. This is a great stop along the bike route, or just to enjoy a meal in the saltwater ambiance.

LOBSTER MELT HEAVEN Chatham Pier Fish Market (45 Barcliff Ave, Chatham, MA 02633) is THE place to be when you're craving fresh Cape Cod seafood. The lobster melts here are NEXT LEVEL --ooey gooey deliciousness, packed with lobster meat, and best of all... dipped in lobster bisque. Yes, you heard that right. The most elite move? Order fries and dip those in the bisque too. Unreal. Don't skip the shrimp either --it's tender, flavorful, and seriously addicting. They don't skimp on the lobster and you can even grab fresh fish to take home! I've heard in the summer you can see seals chilling by the docks! Just another reason this is a 10/10 must-visit spot. Counting down the days 'til I'm back on the Cape!

Wow food was amazing!! We tried the lobster bisque and the lobster melt. Both were amazing. Price was decent value for the portions. They did not skimp on the lobster Service was good! This is strictly a take out spot. They do have some outdoor seating that is first come first serve. The adjacent fish building has an area for observation.

The fish and chips here are the best I have ever had! They were so fresh and the seasoning was fantastic. We also really enjoyed the fries, and the seal watching!

For some of my group, this was their favorite lobster of the trip. Once you get over the sticker shock, it's pretty good. My roll has some chunky pieces that were not tender enough to eat. Coleslaw is nothing to write home about and fries are not fresh cut. It was okay for me.

Main Street was nuts, insane, busy, etc. with the holiday, vacationers, visitors, soccer fans for FIFA, etc. It's the Cape! Very nice place... looks like it could have been a church, VFW Hall, or something or another. Found out it was actually a clothier back in the day, and the stained glass and pews were rescues from a church up in Maine. Nice decor, comfortable. Both lunch and dinner menu served in the early afternoon. High volume, but a few empty tables on a long holiday weekend - Friday. A little off of the beaten path, by that I mean it is not directly on Main Street, but located on Chatham Bars Avenue and down the short street a hundred feet or so and on your left. Cold, bottled San Pellegrino with lime and lemon. Started with the raw bar, well worth the short wait! 18 fat, cold, and briney oysters that were shucked to perfection. The Shrimp Cocktail was great too. She had the Floey's Tuna Sandwich, along with the pasta salad; the tuna had capers mixed in which was a very nice touch! I had the broiled scallops and asparagus; an incredible butter/lemon sauce. Both done exceptionally well. Clean facility, plenty of room, and a wicked nice staff too! Truly, a hidden gem and a must visit! No negatives whatsoever!
