Best lobster roll I've ever had in MA. This is definitely worth the visit and I will be returning asap. They DO NOT skimp on the lobster meat and I literally had a whole big chunk of the tail included. Cold lobster rolls are superior! A must order is their fried scallops basket! Big, juicy, and tender scallops fried to perfection. They also have seasonal items that they offer, all lobster inspired so just another reason to visit. Great scenic location to visit when on Cape Cod. The ordering process was easy. They will call out your order at a pickup window when it's ready. Decent amount of outdoor picnic table seating. Super fresh fish! The fish and chips were so soft and tender and didn't feel to heavy. The swordfish sandwich was also super fresh and delicious. I don't think you can go wrong here getting local fish. Popular for a reason, takeout only. Parking is chill since there's a huge parking lot. Chatham fish pier offers a classic New England seafood experience with fresh fish and a beautiful view of the ocean and north island. I went with the lobster role, which is freshly steamed with a touch of mayonnaise. The serving size of lobster within the bun was generous and the touch of mayonnaise does not overpower the meat. As a big seafood fan, especially New England style, I truly think I I would like almost everything on the menu. See pic of menu. Always a treat in the summertime! Usually a long line that goes very fast and we love to eat our food at the picnic tables nearby. My husband and I split the fish and chips and the lobster roll. Both were insane portions and sooooo good. I would recommend getting either the fish and chips or the lobster roll, but anything you get will be delicious. read more

Great seafood! Some of the best I've had on the cape. Super fresh! The fried food was a little greasy but the quality of the fish surely made up for that minor quip. We had the clam chowder and lobster bisque. I was tempted to mix them but didn't. Both were remarkable. The lobster bisque had huge pieces of meat. So good! We also had the lobster roll and the fried clam bellies and they were fantastic. The line moved fast and food turnaround was also quick. The seating was challenging as they didn't seem to have enough benches for people and it was rainy outside. I don't believe they have any indoor seating so be prepared for the elements. This is a very casual place in a wonderful location. It is across the street from the Chatham Bars Inn on the water. Orders are place at a window outside the market. Tables are set up outside. We can generally find a seat within a few minutes and by the time our order is ready. This is a regular go to spot. The lobster roll is one of the main attractions. One of the best on the Cape. I have an affinity for the scallop salad. The steamers are also always great. Some of the fish appears to come right off the boat and so is as fresh as you can get. You can watch the boats unloading their catch, and the seals circling for scraps. read more

Pretty much everything was a hit here! The system they use to take orders and get them out relatively quickly is impressive. I realized as I left you can also order food inside - might be quicker when there's a line outside. The crab cake sandwich was only ok. The cook on the salmon was a perfect mid rare. Really cool setting by the fish docks. You can watch the fisherman come in and unload their catch while the seals swim around the docks. Parking is very limited and the spaces are extremely tiny. The only thing I got was their clam fritters and they were fantastic. The rest of the food that I saw looked really good. There's very limited outdoor seating and parking is abysmal but if you can make it work, it's definitely worth the trip, especially with kids. You can however, park on Main Street Chatham, and they have shuttles to the dock which can make things a little bit easier in certain cases. You can watch them bring fish in to the fish dock and drop off their morning catch, which was surprisingly more interesting than I thought it would be. read more

I ordered the scallops with onion rings and coleslaw... AMAZING! By far the best scallops I've ever had (including The Squire). The were very lightly breaded and cooked to perfection. The tarter has a really fresh flavor with a bit of dill I think. I love that it came with fresh lemon to enhance the natural flavors of the fresh scallops. The coleslaw was fresh, cold and delicious. The best lobster roll I had while in Cape Cod--and I tried many! The one at Chatham Pier Fish Market was hands down the winner. It was about $45 with tip, but the portion was huge, the lobster was super fresh, and it came with really good fries. Honestly, you could easily split it between two people and still be full. There are picnic benches outside to sit and eat, which adds to the casual, seaside vibe. It does get crowded quickly, though, so you may have to scout around a bit to find a spot. The staff was very nice, and the location is awesome--you can walk right over to the pier, see seals swimming, and watch fishing boats coming and going, which made the whole experience even more memorable. If you're in Chatham, this place is a must-visit. I'd go back in a heartbeat! read more

Had many lobster rolls on Cape Cod. This one is most generous with huge chunks of claw and tail meat. Tasted really fresh. We stopped here halfway through our ride down the bike route and loop in Chatham. It's a fish market and restaurant right by the pier where you can watch the fishermen unload their catch as well as seals swimming around hoping for a fish! There's not a ton of seating for a busy place, some picnic tables scattered around as long as the weather is good. There are a couple benches up on the pier viewing platform that you could sit on and eat. There is an elevator to get up to the platform if you're unable to do stairs which is great. Ok, onto the food. Whooooa this has to be the best lobster roll on the cape. It must be close to 1/2lb of huge, succulent chunks of claw and knuckle meat. The cold roll is ever so lightly dressed in mayo, with a layer of lettuce on the bottom. It does add a nice refreshing crunch. Honestly I'm kicking myself a little for not getting the hot buttered roll because I bet it's mind blowing. Next time! The roll comes with fries and really good mustardy coleslaw. It was $38 in June 25, and if you know the average price of a lobster roll you'll understand this is a killer deal especially for an enormous roll. My husband got a seared tuna sandwich that was also amazing. Beautiful fresh tuna cooked rare on a fresh brioche bun with pickled onions, lettuce, and mayo. He loved it! They're also a fabulous fish market. We brought a cooler with us so we bought some striped bass to cook for dinner and it was wonderful. The best spot for shellfish in the area! Is lobster expensive?! Yes but this spot cuts out the middlemen and fine dining and you get great seafood for a great price in a very authentic atmosphere (what could be more authentic than an actual pier?!) Great for takeout and you can order online and avoid the wait. I love their lobster rolls and they also have kids meals for kids who...may refuse the seafood. Super fresh, delicious seafood, with a bonus of watching the fishermen come in with their haul and some seals if you're lucky. That said, when it gets really hot out, they don't have much seating in the shade - some tables by the side of the restaurant and some benches up the steps on the pier. That's it. I'd recommend taking the food to go if you're not feeling up for baking in the sun as you tuck into the food. We ordered the seared scallops salad (say that 3x fast) and the grilled salmon burger, the latter of which was a panic order where I changed my mind at the last minute, latched onto something randomly, and then regretted it as soon as I ordered it. But the salmon burger was actually my favorite of the dishes we tried - super flaky and juicy, with no pungent fishy aftertaste. With the lettuce and sauce, it tasted like a fancier, better McDonalds filet-o-fish. The burger came with a side of cole slaw and a generous heap of the most delicious fries I've had in a while. They tasted double fried, with a beautiful golden batter and a crispy outer shell. Next time, I'll try the lobster melt and the shrimp roll. The menu had so many great options. We came on a super busy weekend afternoon and got our food relatively quickly (about 10-15 minutes). read more
