    (Improperly sealed) Thai Milk Tea
    Isa ..

I came in today at around 2:30 pm and didn't leave until 3:20. For starters, it's unfortunate that someone called in sick last minute. It is even more unfortunate that the other employee on shift was left to work by themselves. There was one guy working and he could not take orders because he was alone. There were around 11 people at the time I was there, only the kiosks could be used. It was infuriating sitting there watching this young man struggle. I would rather the store be closed temporarily while another employee arrived to help, than to see someone so visibly very stressed and flustered. I feel bad for him. The drinks * 1 16 oz Assam mt w/ half ice + boba + crystal boba: It was okay. Watery. Nothing really satisfying. * 1 16 oz Thai tea w/ half ice + boba + coconut jelly: The coconut jelly was missing so I informed the employee. The cup was opened and the coconut jelly was added, and cup was attempted to be resealed. I actually have worked at a boba shop before, and you cannot reseal a cup, and you need the pour the drink into a new unused cup and seal that new cup. The result was very messy, but I do not blame the employee given his current overstimulating situation. The thai tea itself had an odd taste but i couldn't tell what exactly was wrong with it. * 1 16 oz Thai tea w/ boba + lychee jelly. I placed this order a bit after the first order. I was in a bit in a rush to leave at this point and didn't notice there was no lychee jelly added. Also, the thai tea looks lumpy?? It's like they use a powder thai tea mix instead of the standard actual brewed thai tea with half and half. I realize now why the Thai tea tasted so off. The prices: For the smallest size possible with 2 toppings I paid around $8 for each drink. I'm not happy with my purchase. It's honestly overpriced for something lacking in quality. I'm really unhappy. I spent nearly $30 for unfortunately mediocre tea. IF this is not a one-time issue and actually is common with this shop, I would kindly recommend that management pushes back the grand opening date and does some serious reflection on how they treat their employees and how to properly prepare them for a busy environment, as well as the quality of their products.

The tall young man behind the counter was on his cell and didn't greet us or look at us for over two minutes. We just stood there staring at the overhead menu and when he finally glanced at us and asked what we wanted to order, I was so put off by his lack of attention and disrespect that I said I was good and decided I would rather spend our hard-earned money with a different independent business that at least can pretend to want to earn our business or appreciate the visit of new customers. I don't know if the the food is good or not and judging by the high prices, they better be good but we'll never know because we will not step foot inside a business where an employee doesn't care about their customers. Let this be a teachable moment for this young man.

The atmosphere is calming, clean and sunny. I ordered a ton of food, and it was all very good. However, I was highly surprised on how authentic and good the Filet Mignon Pho was! The broth! OMG! The broth was smoky, succulent, fragrant, and golden. I mean the broth was indeed the Superstar and That my friends is the tell tell sign that the people in the kitchen put their love and hard work to keep line-step with tradition. In my opinion this is best Pho on the Northside without a doubt! The staff were very nice as well. Customer Service A+! The only constructive that I would say is the fish sauce is way too fishy. I have had it several places and it is not that pungent. I will be back for the wings and the boba! I recommend!!

Maybe it's just because I go during off hours, but this location doesn't feel as lively as it used to back in the early 2000s. That said, the drinks here are always consistent, and I've never had any issues with their service. I really should take advantage of this spot more often when I'm in the area. For this location, there was only one time they ran out of boba and had to substitute with another topping... this was frustrating because seriously, how you gonna run out of boba?! Come on! Other than that, the shop is always clean and usually pretty empty when I visit, which is actually kind of nice. I usually go for the QQ Happy Family milk tea. It's my favorite across all the locations. But now I'm most upset they took this item off their menu and no longer even have the toppings to custom order this drink... this is such a huge disappointment as I only order this particular drink. I guess I'll have to find a new temporary favorite before they decide to change up their menu again...

I had called before heading out to make sure they were still doing it, and they said that they were. By the time we got there, they said that they were not doing it anymore, and they ran out of all the supplies. I even told them that I had called before leaving my house and they said that they just ran out. I would have appreciated if they would have checked how much supplies they had before telling people to come up for the smoothies. My family and I drove up there. Multiple people came in after us looking for the free item and turned around and walked away when they did not get it. However, we thought we already drove up there, so we decided to support them. I'm not trying to give a bad review because I did not receive a free smoothie. We bought smoothies for the family so the trip wasn't wasted. My son is a huge mango lover, and that's the one he got and he did not like it at all, although I did not think it was bad. It wasn't sweet and didn't taste like mango. But I digress. One of my daughters got the matcha and we literally all tried it and had to throw it away because no one in our family liked it. I got the spirulina one and I liked the color, but it's not something I would particularly go out and get. Overall, I feel like I'm being very relaxed with my review because it ended up being a nice little family outing. But the final straw for us was the bathrooms. The bathroom was not clean and I had to clean the toilet before allowing my child to use it. We saw a man and woman bringing in supplies while we were there, but it got late and we had to go. I'm not sure if they would have even honored making the free drinks at that point anyways, but at this point everyone in our family tried them and did not like it. Free drinks are not why I am disappointed, but more so that that the bathroom was not clean and it smelled weird in there and no one liked their smoothie in our family. I hope they can make it nicer and not close down because it looks like it's a nice establishment in Vintage Park, but they just have to work on cleanliness and having actually good drinks.
