The reviews seemed mixed online, but I can tell they have been doing some upgrades even though I have not been here before, because of the addition of new type of vending machines and toys in them, air hockey table and small stuffed animals. This was our first time here, and the customer service seemed helpful and like they were willing to do things even though it wasn't on the menu. I like to get smoothies with a boba, and the front employee said that she would make them blended and added boba to them, both of which were upchargers. Although the shop was really cute, I feel like I have gotten better boba and better smoothies from other places. It would be a good place to bring kids, though. read more

We stopped by the new Tapioca Master off Jones Road on a sunny, warm afternoon for a little boba treat. When my sons and I walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile, which was a nice first impression. We let her know we were new to the shop and asked for a few suggestions. She seemed a bit unsure and didn't really offer much guidance, so we ended up ordering what sounded good to us. One son chose a cookies and cream smoothie, my other son ordered a chai milk tea with boba, and I went with the classic milk tea with tapioca pearls. Overall, the drinks were actually good, flavorful and refreshing, just what we needed for a warm day. The ambiance was really pretty and clean. I loved the greenery throughout the space, and the music made it feel welcoming and relaxed. Service-wise, it was just okay not bad, but not memorable either. Would I go back? Maybe. I ordered a Oolong milk tea with tapioca, basil seeds, and salted cheese foam, while my bf ordered a green apple slushie with green apple jelly. When I got my drink, I was surprised to see how orange the foam was. Once I tasted it, it was not at all what I was expecting. The cheese was definitely cheddar based, kind of like an Easy Cheese can. I was expecting more like a cream cheese or cheesecake taste, similar to what they have at The Bep, especially since I saw on the menu here that they serve cream cheese waffles. It was my mistake for not asking while ordering, but the employees were very nice and understanding. They removed the foam for me quickly and with no trouble. The oolong milk tea with basil seeds and tapioca was very refreshing. My bf's green apple slushie with green apple jelly was exactly what he wanted, like a sour green apple candy but refreshing and juicy. Have gone there for several years now but the service hasn't gone down. Every time we get food to several items are wrong and we don't complain. Today we went out of our way to go and when we got home order was missing carrots, ranch, and syrup. Drinks were ok but they have made them more icy before. This was one of my favorite smoothie places I was willing to drive out of my way for. But when you ask if everything is in bag and they confirm you expect order to be correct. This tapioca establishment offers quite a variety of drinks and snacks. I appreciate they even have rotating seasonal drinks and obviously this month is Halloween, so they offer colors and flavors to match that theme. I ordered off the Halloween seasonal drink menu and tried the "Frankenstein" which consist of taro flavor on the bottom that is topped with Pandan. It's pretty creamy and you can definitely taste the Taro, but the Pandan was subtle. My daughter ordered her usual milk tea drink with tapioca pearls and the pearls were very soft and chewy. My bf ordered a green apple lemonade and he tried it with no sugar and it was surprisingly good! To snack, we ordered the 10 piece chicken bites and cookies and cream bubble waffles with chocolate ice cream. You can tell when you take a bite into the chicken bite that the chicken was brined in pickle juice which tasted ok, but my bf didn't enjoy it. Not everyone likes pickle flavor so I think it should be noted in the description so people will know. Why 5 stars? Because my smoothie was basically perfect. --- --- -- I bookmarked this place a very long time ago and finally was able to check it out. Full disclosure, we were about 20 minutes away, but I still convinced the wife that we were "close enough" to stop by. She loves boba, but was not super into the idea initially. Eventually, I wore her down and we drove way out of our way to enjoy some deliciousness. I initially opted for a limited time holiday shake, but ended up changing my order because I wanted to stick with something I definitely knew I'd love: the taro coconut smoothie. And indeed, I absolutely loved it. It was perfect. My wife ordered a thai tea, and while she can be pretty picky about those, she enjoyed hers as well. I can't say we'll be back often because we don't live nearby and don't spend much time in this area, but this is a great option that we'll re-visit if we find ourselves in this 'hood. Tables and chairs were put away to limit social distancing, but staff were really friendly. We ordered: 2X Brown Sugar Milk Tea 1X Milk Tea with baby tapioca 1X taro cream tea with baby tapioca 1X Mango Slush Everything was pretty good. IMO, the brown sugar milk tea has a slight taste of ginseng. Make sure to shake it well before drinking. Overall, a great experience! I am giving it a 5 stars solely because the cashier (Linh) was extremely nice to us, I felt really bad coming in with 3 mins left before closing but the cashier was eager to take our order & make our drinks. I ordered the mango green tea with mango jelly, WOW is what I can say about my drink; it was strong, flavorful & it had that tartness taste which made the drink perfecto. I always like my tea strong as heck so I asked the cashier to make it where I can taste the actual tea & put as less sugar as possible & they did just that. Came in here today at 130pm, first thing that came to my attention was the free samples (various different drinks (ranging from smoothies, slushees, and milk tea) that they had laid out for us to try with. The people there were super friendly and very nice. My friend ordered the thai milk tea which she really liked and raved about. I ordered a drink that wasn't on the menu and the lady was super nice enough to accommodate and make for me. I originally ordered the lavender black tea but wanted to get lavender milk tea instead so she said she would do her best to make it for me. It wasn't bad and I really appreciated their attempt to make it for me. I would definitely come back to try another drink on their menu. The lady and I chatted for a bit and I told the lady that I had noticed they had good reviews on yelp and she proceeded to tell me that the place was voted one of the top and have had their title 4 times, and I can see that they do live up to their title :) read more

This is probably one of my favorite bobas that I've tried so far! I often try locally owned boba shops and this place had raving reviews. After my visit, I can fully agree with them. Tapioca Master offered samples in little cups for ~three~ different drinks, which I really enjoyed. Judging from the samples, their milk teas (classic and coffee) have the taste of real tea. The fruit drink wasn't overpoweringly sweet and didn't have the artificial, syrupy aftertaste that fruity drinks from other places have. The service was fast and attentive and the woman at the front counter was so sweet. I really enjoyed my Vietnamese iced coffee. It was strong yet slightly sweet. Two of my friends who live in the area told me and our group of friends about this place. Apparently this place is raving with 5 star reviews with about over 100 reviews. I really like that they provide samples cause it gives you an idea of what you like and don't like and what you can order for future purchases. My friends and I came 10 minutes before closing on a Sunday and the owner was extremely nice to us. They put away the samples but she brought them out just for us to try. I'm not complaining and I don't blame the other workers but we definitely got some stink eyes from two of the guys working there. Probably cause we literally walked in 10 minutes before closing. The owner was really really nice. She welcomed us before closing, recommended drinks to us, and even brought out the samples just for us to taste. Service was really great from her! My friends all bought drinks. The sames really helped us in deciding what we wanted to get. Here's what we bought: 1. Jasmine Green Tea 2. Taro Smoothie with egg pudding 3. Coconut and Avocado Smoothie 4. Coconut Cream Tea Tea with Herbal Jelly Everything really tasted fresh. Literally. Even the teas. I can't really speak for my friend's drinks but from what I can tell some liked theirs and some thought it was OKAY. Though I can speak for mine. I got the Coconut and Avocado Smoothie. I love coconut and I love avocado and the owner really recommended that combination, so I went for it. It had an interesting flavor, I could definitely taste the coconut and I could taste the creaminess of the avocado. It was good. But I'm not sure if it was...satisfying? I'm not sure how to explain it. Definitely an interesting combination but I just can't quite put my finger on it. Amazing!!!! it's so good!!! They have super cute seasonal drinks for different months. My cousin got the frankenstein which is for october. Im not the biggest fan of raro but i loved her drink it was the perfect amount of sweet. Same with my brown sugar milk tea. I hate overly sweet drinks but this was JUST right.
