Let me tell you: the service I received here was so good I might go to this location going forward... I live over 100 miles away and actively avoid going through Hemet when visiting Idyllwild! I impulsively decided to stop by this Valvoline while driving through for an oil change (a little early because my tire pressure alert came on while I was leaving Idyllwild). I waited about 10 minutes before my car was in the bay and they got to work. I got a full synthetic oil change and tire rotation, along with the recommended engine fluid change. Unlike Jiffy Lube, they have screens right by the driver side and an employee that goes over the recommended dealer service based on what's been reported (and their records but I was a first time customer so I had to fill in some blanks). This really helped from a confidence perspective that what was being recommended was real, and I liked that they told me to ignore one of the dealer ones because "it always shows up and isn't necessary". They also suggested the transmission fluids based on the report, but I showed them I'd had it done about 19k miles earlier (receipt in glovebox ftw!) and they updated their records accordingly. All in all, it was $277 and 31 minutes of my Tuesday morning for the oil, engine fluids, and tire rotation. While it was more than I expected to spend, I was due for it and they gave me a discount on each service that helped. Great service and my car has been running great. Highly recommend! read more

If you want to top off your oil - go to Jiffy Lube or anywhere else. All Valvoline's in California now apparently charge a $10 service fee on top of the oil even if all you need is a top off It will be $26 for a quart of oil at Valvoline and of course they wanna check your lights and check your headlights but if you drive a high oil consuming car like a Kia, then your best bet is to go anywhere but Valvoline read more

Worst experience at this location out of all the Valvoline's I've been to. They're lazy and tell you they're out of the oil you need so they don't have to work on your car! That happened to me my last oil change and the next location I went to told me that they did have the oil in stock! I also had my right headlight changed 10 months ago and it's already blown out! They told me when I went by and spoke to the manager that it's not their problem, and that Hyundai's and Kia's have electrical issues. That's a blatant lie, because I had my left headlight done at the dealership before that and it's working just fine. They sell you junk and faulty parts so you can come back and spend more money! A bulb should not be out in that short amount of time! I'm so pissed I wasted my money there! Valvoline has lost my business! I will take my car somewhere else for oil changes from now on! read more

I am a NET driver and our company uses this outfit for the oil changes and tire rotations. The staff are so friendly and on the ball. The downside is that after my rotation they didn't reprogram the sensor so I see a picture pop up and the tires shown are opposite of what I have now. As long as nobody else has to drive the van I am fine. Driving up the ramps is a fun kind of freaky but their oil changes are great. It's quick and painless. read more

I have been here several times over the years and I've always had a good experience. Today however my wife took one of our vehicles in and was not treated so very nicely. I always provide my own oil and filter for the service. A woman named Jasmine decided that she thought the oil was incorrect for the vehicle and stated to my wife rather rudely that it was going to damage the engine. It in fact will not and she should've left it at that. Jasmine however continued to huff and stomp around the vehicle in protest of this. I feel she was out of line and should just do as the customer requests. I know my cars and certainly wouldn't use something that would damage them. Maybe it's her job to upsell products to the customer but not when they provide their own products and especially be visibly upset about it. Not cool Jasmine! read more

They have 3 bays, no appointment, could be up to a 15 minute wait until you are next, they also watch who comes in first, regardless of which bay you are waiting in, and will move you into the next open bay. They have a beautiful routine. You never leave your vehicle. I felt like every employee I could see, loved their job and were knowledgeable, skilled, and efficient. Great emphasis on safety. The price is very fair to me, even without a coupon, coupons you can find on their website and can be emailed to you. The price for the windshield wipers and air filter (even though we did not purchase any that day) also fair. I have been told I cannot use the coupons I had texted to my phone from the actual website. They don't tip off my fluids at all. $110.00 for an oil change even if synthetic is a lot to me. Dealership doesn't even cost that much. Again, they did not too off my Fluids. The guy literally asked me if I wanted my Coolant topped off for $5.00 the maintenance check isn't worth anything for $5.00. And again, my car needs an oil change in just two months. I am a very anxious person and it is hard for me to do things. At the last minute I decided to finally get an oil change. I pulled right up and I was helped and felt at ease. They changed my oil, I opted to replace the windshield wipers, showed me the filter, asked if I wanted them to check cabin filter, and had the radiator flushed. It is nice that you can see the display screen and they are very courteous and explanatory, even asked if I had a coupon, which I had forgotten about. If I could give ZERO stars I would! Stay away from this place they will break your vehicle! Came in for a simple oil change on Saturday 7/6/24. Took along time to finish. Tech #1 stated "oh they got liquid on your chassis and it's being cleaned up real good for you". I patiently waited as I'm hearing a lot of drilling going on underneath our truck, in the meantime other cars pull up in at other bays and leaving, I'm still there. I ask Tech #2 why it is taking so long? He reply's 'Oh they had trouble taking and replacing the plate back on but he got it now". OK that 2 different excuses. The surveillance camera will show how long I was there. I get home, we check out the electronic receipt, we were charged $16,89 for extra oil I was not told about. Next day, fresh oil leaked in our driveway. So now to the Dealership we go to get this crap fixed. Not happy, they absolutely SUCK!! I should've know by the way the techs were acting funny. They don't honor their quotes and do a bait and switch when you get there. Called to get quote for a synthetic blend oil change in a 4 cyl and was told $41.98. The girl even asked what year/make/model of my vehicle. 3 other people in the room heard me speak to her. I go to get my oil change and was told $78. The guy was insulting and treated me as if I was stupid. I told him my quote & he said that was for a regular oil change. This was my 1st visit, Michael greeted me and explained how their service works. I love that you pull into a stall right away and actually stay in your car while they change your oil, inspect your lights, tire pressure, and fluids, all was good except my air filter, which Michael showed me how dirty mine was, and there was no pressure to buy a new one, but I did.
