A terrible experience. I had a base color applied in December and suffered hair breakage. My brush and my sinks, clothing, shower, and hair brush was full of hair. It was a horrendous experience. When I asked the salon manager to refund my credit card he made excuses. Apparently the Chaz Dean hair products have caused hair loss before. A lawsuit was filed and the judge ruled in favor of the hair loss victims. I never received a refund. Do not trust the Chaz Dean products or the management. read more

My first experience with the studio was not super great. The studio itself is very nice, feels high end, and the atmosphere is inviting. But the stylist I saw did not listen to me, felt like she wanted me out of the chair from the moment I sat down. She left me with an awful uneven bob which is not what I asked for. When she was done she didn't even brush the hair she cut off my shoulders. I felt so ugly. After going home a crying and canceling plans on my birthday weekend, I called the studio back. Let them know I was unhappy with my cut. Ryan the manager offered a free treatment and scheduled me an appointment with Zach to salvage what I was left with. This experience was completely different. Not only did Zach listen to me but he vibed with me! He took his time to make sure every hair was cut perfect. He is so talented not only at cutting hair but his singing voice is amazing too. The environment is phenomenal and beautiful, and the employees are so kind and lovely (and make a mean lemonade!). Rigo is 10/10 5 star experience. He blessed me with dimensional color, face framing layers, and seamless tape in extensions. I just went in for my 6 week check in to get my extensions moved up and can see the extensions caused zero damage to my natural hair! I've seen the commercials and imagine my joy when I found out that the studio was offering 10 FREE haircuts to frontline nurses!! It was super easy to book an appointment and I was able to be fitted into the schedule the next day. There is free parking at the studio, but there's also street parking. Gino met me in the parking lot and gave me a tour of the site. There are several studios where you can get a haircut. There are also outside options. The gardens are so beautiful and tranquil! I would have loved to get my haircut outside, maybe another time. The studio Gino picked for us was well lit, beautiful, and clean. After we discussed options for what type of cut I should get, he led me to the wash station. I LOVE getting my hair washed, but sometimes it's uncomfortable because of the basin. This is the first time I have to say that this was the most comfortable wash station EVER!! My neck wasn't sore at all. The haircut and then blow dry was quick. I was at the studio in total for about an hour which was great. My hairstyle lasted for about four days which I loved before I had to wash it out. I wasn't able to style it the way he did, but I loved the cut so how I style it worked out well. Would I come back? Most definitely!! Kind of expensive, but worth it if you don't get a cut often which is me. The safety protocols at the studio are exceptional. I was concerned about it, but Gino put me at ease right away when I saw how safe they are (masks, distance, windows open). I highly recommend this place. read more

This was my first time here and I really ended up liking it! The ambience is very calming the instant walk you in and the staff are very welcoming upon entrance. Zach did my hair and I have never been happier with a haircut! I had not cut my hair in a very long time and I was nervous that my hair would not be cut in the way that I had envisioned. Tucked away in Hollywood, I've walked by it a million times and never knew it was there. Gorgeous Grounds, Bungalows and a super friendly staff. I can't say enough good things about this place. Im very disappointed in the customer service. I love wen products, I ordered online a set and I asked if it will be delivered withing a week because Im travelingoverseas for months. They replied we can't guarantee. So I emailed them to cancel the order because I wont be here for the package. They ignored my email and shipped the order anyway. And the package got held in usps due to address missing information. I get no response when I call and when I email they reply check with usps. What a horrible way to treat a customer who loves their products. I will never ordered with WEN again. I don't recommend their online service is useless. read more

Even keeping my hair with hair dye more than 20 minutes gives extremely damage to my hair. After I moved to the US, I started a very broad search for a layered haircut, because I have long, straight but fine hair I need good layered hair cut so my hair will look normal. After 2 month search I found Cynthia and it was the BEST DECISION ever!!! She is extremely sweet and so talented. My hair looks like from movies and even people in the street stops me and asking it. I am a lifetime customer now. They have free parking, and all of the employees are very sweet and amazing. They offer you tea or snacks, they have a great patio and fireplace. All the ambiance is very relaxing and beautiful. The quality of the products is amazing too. They use only organic shampoo and coloring materials. After coloring my hair looks like it's after treatment - glowing, super soft and smells great. About pricing, I can tell that for everything and the service quality that they offer is extremely affordable. When I tell people about the prices everyone is being very surprised. Because haircuts are ridiculously expensive in the BH area if you compare to here. After bumping into Alie (Alejandra) at BeautyCon this year - I connected with her immediately via Instagram (@missalie) and her warm personality and knowledge about hair just won me over! Most importantly, I was impressed by her precise care for not using any bleach and still managing to color hair as desired. I was confident to hand over my hair to be colored and decorated by Alie. Apparently every stylist in this salon is directly trained under Chaz Dean - and he has the most humble techniques while working with hair in my opinion. None of them use bleach! After arriving, in just 3-4 hours I got the look I desired, with amazing tea at this beautiful, scenic location! All the reviews are very accurate on how this surrounding area of this salon truly allows you to feel relaxed (with holiday music in this case) and not feel the hustle and bustle of downtown LA! My favorite part was probably the 'waiting period' of when my hair was getting colored, because I got to sit outside in the patio under beautiful sunshine and admire the ambiance and beautiful pond around the corner! I cannot recommend this place enough! GO TO STUKE (STOO-key)! If you have trouble finding a stylist that can give you exactly what your weird little heart desires, LOOK NO FURTHER. I have very fine hair and I like short, androgynous cuts. It is EXTREMELY difficult for me to find a stylist that can figure it how to handle my hair. After my long-time stylist moved out of LA, it took me 18 months, 3 stylists, and lots of awkward hair cuts before I found Stuke. He knew exactly what to do. After my longtime hairdresser retired, I knew I wanted to go to Chaz's salon because I adore his products and they have worked miracles to make my hair strong, beautiful and healthy. I've been going to Shawn for about 4 years and have ever once been disappointed. Shawn is meticulous about highlights and lowlights. His color work is amazing. He works magic and my color has never looked so good. Some stylists are good at color but not cutting, or vice versa. Shawn is a double threat in that he is excellent at both. She reached out to me a few days before the appointment to get an idea of what look I was going for and also did a consultation on the day of the appointment. She was realistic with my expectations and explained the process to me. The appointment was VERY long (8 hours!) but I appreciated that she was not distracted going from one client to the next. I was her only client for the day and she explained the process was slow because it would be less damaging to my hair. She nailed the color and my hair feels healthy which was important to me.
