It is simply decorated on the inside and outside of the space. They have an upstairs and downstairs outdoor seating area. They also have indoor seating upstairs and downstairs. The place was very clean and well maintained. Food: We were blown away by the food. I was amazed by what we ordered. My husband had their 'Monte Cristo' sandwich and LOVED it. He said it was the best sandwich he's ever had. I had their 'Catfish & Grits' which were delicious. It was packed with so much flavor. I loved the pickled onions that came on top of the dish. The catfish and grits dish hit all the tasting notes. It was sweet, savory, and a little sour with the pickled onions. I LOVED it. We will definitely be back during our trip in North Carolina. It is very nice and clean. They let us park our stroller at the front. Restrooms: They have two single use restrooms. One has a changing pad for babies. Both of their restrooms were very clean. Service: We were warmly welcomed and served from the minute we entered Veranda. All the staff was soooo friendly and passionate about what they do. I felt right at home! You can also tell this is a place where locals go because some of the staff knew guests by name. Food: The food was fantastic. I had their 'Hungarian Mushroom Soup' which was delicious!
