The woman who attended to us was very kind, patient, and knowledgeable- I suspect she's the owner. We ordered mushroom pot rice set and bibim dumplings. When the food arrived, we were blown away: the presentation was upscale. What a treat for the two of us. And most importantly, the food was delicious. It tastes like everything was homemade from scratch using quality ingredients. The woman said each rice order is made to order, it's not from a huge pot of rice that's been sitting around. The soup from the rice set was good too- it's the side items that signal if the eatery cuts corners on quality, and here they do not. After the meal, she brought us small cups of a fancy orange slush (I forget what it's called)- citrusy, not sugary. It was a nice ending to an amazing meal. I'm glad we found this place because now I have another exciting dining option at Salt to look forward to. Truly can't wait to be back!

Total bill was ~$170 including tip. We took leftovers home tho. The good: flavors! Everything tasted good. The mushrooms were juicy! Mandoo was good. Sotteok2 was good. Kimchee!!! I asked for extras. The not so good: pricey. The interesting: meat jun was more mochi-like than I'm used to. The seaweed soup had a clam-like flavor which I couldn't wrap my head around. (Coz I see bits of meat). Even though it was Friday night, it was quite empty. There was only one server. She was attentive and the food was served very quickly. The bathrooms are by the first floor elevators. Need a code. 3.75 stars

Fettucine Bolognese Our Table wanted to try these things ^ It was Mother's Day but wow that's impressive. The food is quite bland and not of the best quality, the sirloin steak was not seared well and had no marbling/juices. I think people really only come here to drink and eat fries or pizza, if you come here expecting a nice restaurant experience, I don't think you'll get that.

We ordered the deluxe platter, spicy dynamite cake, and chicken skewers. The food was so good! The deluxe platter had a combination of spicy Ahi rolls and some sashimi. Spicy dynamite cake was not too spicy, but had layers of rice, avocado, and spicy Ahi with sauce, and Nori wrappers on the side. Chicken skewers you can order them individually, in a set of three or five and we opted for three. Service was very friendly and attentive. We finished everything. The three items we ordered the cost was $60, adding tip and tax was around $75. The restaurant is very small. Seating only at the bar hence in the restaurant name. Definitely would like to come back and try some of the other options.

I'm not sure when they added ramen but my neighbor's bowl looked pretty solid. Free parking in all the nearby structures. I kinda love coming to this spot and this micro-neighborhood within the new Kakaako.

We were told that the first batch would be served about 11 a.m. so we quickly put our order in. The first thing that caught my attention, was the savory aroma of their 5-spice ground pork being cooked. You can add this as a topping to the noodle dish. The second thing that caught my attention, was the labor of love going in to each order of fresh pulled noodles. You can watch him stretch the dough ball and slap it on the counter before he boils each batch with careful preparation. The third thing that caught my attention, was their adorable mother, helping to slice the cucumbers and top each dish with crushed iso peanuts. Do not forget to order the side of pickled bittermelon....so good!! From beginning to end, this was an incredible experience of all my senses! To see and hear them at work and then to taste the delicious sesame sauce on the fresh pulled noodles....WOW! The soft noodles, the crisp bittermelon, and the savory sauce....super delish! Seriously, go early to place your order. The wait is totally worth it :) Will come back next time to try other menu items.

We went for both the hot and cold udon specials - I think it was a consensus that we would have liked to have more noodles in the dish. This is definitely a sweeter dish, with the tororo and the tsukudani. The place already had a long line, and the best way to enjoy would be to dine-in. This time, I tried their food for the first time and ordered the Turkey Melt sandwich. Oh my gosh, it was so good! The salad on the side also had a delicious dressing that tasted almost like a smoky meat sauce, but with a slight tanginess to it. Yum!!! We also ordered a burrito, and wow...their burritos are HUGE! They're packed and loaded with everything you could want inside. We got steak with roasted potatoes and some other veggies. The café itself has such a relaxing atmosphere. The high ceilings make the space feel open and inviting, and they even have a second floor seating area. There are beautiful plant decorations, nice artwork, and an overall cozy vibe that makes it a great place to hang out. The staff here are always so, so, so kind and helpful. A special shoutout to Tommy, who was very friendly and took the time to explain the menu items to us. If you're dining in, they give you a table number and bring the food right to your table.
