There were aunties and uncles out there with their canes. It was a joy to watch everyone dance. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. There is a food court, with a variety of different foods to choose from. There was a stage where the teacher broke down the dances throughout the day. And then there was a large wooden dance floor in front of the stage where everyone danced. There is tables and chairs on the outside and inside of the stage. I haven't dance country line dancing since the 90s. We've come a long way from the achy Breaky heart in the tush push. The dances were interesting and intricate. I definitely got my workout used my brain and use my muscles. The teacher gave free dance in between lessons throughout the day. And then at the end of the day you got to request songs you wanted to dance to. The dance classes are free. There is parking, But the parking lot is a bit small.

We decided to get bahn mi at Munch on Mi. They give you a buzzer thingie when your order is ready. It took about 10 minutes which wasn't bad at all. I got the grilled pork bahn mi and it was really good. The pork was thinly sliced and very flavorful for $15. I also got a Vietnamese coffee for $7. The food court here is clean and if you want to hang out and talk story, this is the place. There aren't any people hovering over you for your seat like other food courts.

So much has changed since then but it makes sense, with the expansion of the mall, to have more food courts available. On top of the convenience, The Lanai has something for all my various cravings while shopping, especially dim sum or musubi. Will return again.

Take a walk downstairs and enter into an elevated food stall experience. I'm not saying it's fancy, but I am saying it's worth a date night or fun night out with friends and family. Fair warning it has this interesting set up tho that makes it feel like its outside but it's technically at the basement of a mall plaza. So weird because the air conditioning is hit or miss but it's nice because the individual places have their own AC. I expected it to be cooler inside and it wasn't blazing hot but it was humid .... But then again you're in Hawaii lol so expect a little humidity depending on what month you come in. Parking; paid and look for a lot ... I'm not entirely sure but it's walking distance from the strip. Pro tip: it's conveniently located by the Ross. Faves: Hojocha latte and Matcha Lattes found here! Even soft serve! Organic Rice Balls ( onigiri) to go. The closest thing I've found to Motomura Gyakatsu ( with unlimited salad!l and the bear dang tempura tendon I've had aside from Japan. Baby friendly : Yes, absolutely yes. Now they have small tables and areas in some spaces but they make it work with what you have if there's space. I took my 6 month old with a doona stroller here and it fit fine. There were elevators conveniently in located in the space. Restrooms: you need a code from one of the food places and it will be on your receipt. They're pretty clean! Enjoy! Try everything. And it's a really good meeting place for families to try different cuisines.

As I was looking around at what each restaurant offered, I was greeted by Christine, who by the way was very friendly and welcoming. She gave us a rundown of what each station offered. I was looking at the shrimp plate so she recommended to get a plate from five star shrimp which included marinated steak which is local beef grown here, spicy shrimp, rice and small side salad. I went around and looked at the 5offerings... it was easy for me to choose it had to be quick so I ordered at aloha by the slice. single slice with a "twist" I say twist cause initially I wanted Sausage and humbly the worker (Teddy M) expressed nicely that they didn't have sausage and I asked for ham... now remember I wanted the "single" slice with one"topping" and no sausage but ham was available. If many of you follow my reviews... I don't care for Hawaiian pizza.... The last Hawaiian pizza I had was at "Spitfire Grill" in the Dukes lane Market and that got 5stars BECAUSE- it had pork grinds on the Hawaiian pizza - which by the way is really delicious and I found it an epic addition to the pizza The reason for my 5stars this time is because Teddy decided that he give me a Slice of Hawaiian pizza that has the "Ham" & Pineapple on it.... The banyan tree in the shopping center is really impressive. A banyan can reach a height up to 100 feet and spreads laterally indefinitely. Aerial roots that develop from its branches descend and take root in the soil to become new trunks. It's really a highlight of this mall to walk around this enormous tree. There are a huge number of well known stores here with something for everyone. We enjoyed the shopping but did not stay to eat here although there are a lot of options.
