We met friends here for lunch. Several had fish as it was Friday!! Generous portions and done to perfection, crispy on the outside and flaky and tender inside. Without being greasy. Sides varied but as were delicious. Sheldon was attentive without being intrusive. Good job. We all enjoyed watching the fish in the giant aquarium! It adds so much to the pleasant atmosphere. Went this past Friday evening (May 19) with some friends. While it was really busy, our server, Sydney K, was very pleasant and kind. She made sure our drinks were all refilled. My food wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I asked for my steak to be medium rare and it was more medium well. My carrots were crunchy and not the sweet soft carrots that I was expecting. The broccoli was actually really good though. I had trouble finding an allergen menu online. They had gluten but that was about it. It was disappointing to say the least. read more

My husband and I haven't had Cheddar's in a while so we decided to stop in for lunch. We were seated right away. Our waitress was very nice. I ordered a sweet tea and my husband got a coke. The sweet tea was really good! They do give you free rolls with this honey glaze. ( They were very good! Who doesn't like free bread? lol). We did order the queso and salsa. The salsa was sweet and was yummy! The queso was good also. I got the chicken tenders with fries and broccoli cheddar rice. My husband got the buffalo chicken wrap with fries. The wrap was chicken tenders rolled in buffalo sauce. The wraps were open on both ends, but he enjoyed it! I really liked my meal. Overall we enjoyed our dinning experience. Visited multiple times and the food has been solid. I love their ribeye steaks and are cooked perfectly to order. However, the dining tables are VERY small. Eat at a booth. But I have chosen to eat at the bar with mixed results. Bartenders and managers routinely do not clean the bar top, leave dirty dishes right in front of you while they clean barware and seem to not see stacked dishes piled in front of their customers. It takes seconds to remove dirty dishes and put them in a tub... not a one time experience. read more

Me and my family had dinner there last night, and the service was so bad. The fact that I had to wait 35 minutes for a refill on my drink is not okay, you refill the drink whenever it's halfway full. She passed our table multiple times and constantly bringing drinks to other table. She only gave perfect service to a table behind , it kind of felt like we were invisible. She also had a table walk out no manager was seen, the host told them they we're still gonna have to wait 15 mins even if they sit at a different table, I don't blame them for walking out , but we saw the other tables getting greeted and it took 20 minutes for my husband's drink to get him drink from the bar. It was so melted. We had two kids with us and we were there for an hour and a half, it took her forever to come and ask us for our order . Also, on top of that it was absolutely freezing in there. my wife and l stopped in for dinner. my wife ordered the triple sampler and advised the wait staff that there is an allergy to beef and pork. first order came out with a piece of beef on the plate, contaminated. Waitress came back over we advised her of the issue again. She took it back and had it refilled with what was supposed to be noncontaminated food. We packed up our food and paid the check, was told that the meal that was sent back had been written off so should only be paying for two meals not three. Checked the ticket after paying, all three meals were on the ticket and they had to refund the money and rerun the corrected ticket. We then left. My wife had ate three to five French fries which had cheese on them and supposedly no bacon. While driving home our daughter started eating the fries and found bacon under the fries and cheese. We've seen Cheddars but never had the opportunity to stop. Ee were down checking on our new house and decided to stop. It was pretty good. It's almost a cross of Cracker Barrel, except no shop, and a Fridays/Applebee's. The food was good. I had a half chicken dish that was better than expected. Definitely worth a try. read more

The first time I experienced the Cheddar's brand was in Winston Salem, NC and I absolutely loved it so finding this gem in Tennessee was like winning the lottery. Truthfully if I would have found it on my first day I would of ate there everyday. I love the food selections and have tried many of them over time. This visit definitely didn't disappoint at all. Staff was friendly and food was awesome. The honey butter croissants were to die for. We had the Wisconsin cheese bites for an appetizer. Ordered the family chicken tenders meal with fries and broccoli casserole as the sides, for curbside pickup. The tenders were cooked to crispy perfection accompanied with the honey mustard dipping sauce, seasoned fries were very tasty and the broccoli casserole was very delicious. Cheddar's used to be my favorite place to dine but ever since they were bought out, ugh. Why ruin a good thing?! Portions have gotten smaller, service has been lacking, and food is way over salted. Just looking at their nutrition menu makes my heart skip a beat. The last visit we had made I wanted something different so I opted for a burger with fries, and my son ordered the salmon with a baked potato. Our visit was not during a busy time and was between lunch and dinner. If I didn't know better I would think they had a blindfolded person in the back to build my burger. If I was the server I would have been too embarrassed to serve it to even myself. The meat wasn't even sitting on the bun! It was way over-cooked therefore I had to beg for condiments since they are not on the table. After finally receiving them (I had to ask three times) I had to drown the burger to make it slide down. This is something I don't like to do because I don't order a hamburger to taste condiments. Don't get me started on the fries and ketchup. I had to eat the fries with no ketchup. The first 5 fries were good with the ketchup but once again since there was nothing on the table, you guessed it, I had to beg again. This time I gave up after again asking repeatedly. My son's salmon looked good. That's what I usually get, bourbon-glazed. The issue with his was that it wasn't cooked completely. It was in the middle and was about the size of a tablespoon. Not horribly bad BUT the price one pays for a small piece of fish made it really bad. The rice it sat on apparently they were about to run out soon. At first, I thought he didn't get any but hidden underneath there was less than a 1/4 cup of rice. I was shocked! The potato also wasn't cooked completely. When we told the server about this she just said she would let the cook know. We thought that maybe she would bring just a little bit more of the rice and possibly a new COOKED potato, but we were wrong. The server kept our drinks full but as you can see from above had a memory problem. From what we could tell she was only working about 3 tables plus ours. We even asked for to-go drinks that never showed up. I don't know if she was new or just having an off day but this has been the norm since the buy-out for us. read more

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants about 8 years ago. I can't believe how far downhill it's gone. Everything has changed. The buttery croissants were hard with honey butter drizzled on them. I don't know if they were stale or what. My friend and I took one bite each and didn't touch them again. I ordered a salad with breaded chicken strips, but it was just so sad looking. The lettuce was droopy and had some pink on it, and the chicken tenders were lukewarm. I can say the server seemed nice, and I didn't bring any of this to her attention. It's a shame because the restaurant inside is pretty with the fish aquariums, but I won't be back. read more

Went to eat at Cheddar's for my daughters birthday. We were not greeted at the door upon entering and the hostess wanted us to sit in a booth. We were an adult party of 6 and I thought that would be too crowded. I politely asked to sit at a table which would accommodate us better. The hostess rolled her eyes and sighed at this request. Upon seating us she dropped one of the rolled up eating utensils. I asked politely if we could have another. Upon receiving our order the food was cold. The fries were cold, the vegetables on the vegetable plate were lukewarm at best, and the spinach dip still had a lump of sour cream that had not been melted. I asked again for another eating utensil as we still were short one. We also requested additional ranch dressing several times for the house salad which we got at the end of the meal. The waiter said he would bring us some extra fries that were fresh and hot. We never did receive those. Halfway through the meal and after 3 requests for a fork I finally walked around the restaurant for one and finally found some at the hostess. Our drinks were not refilled until the end of the meal. The people in our birthday party only ate a half or less than half of the meals. I have never left a restaurant hungry but this time we did. I would put 0 starts if I could. My family and I went in there today on July 20, 2024. We ordered our food, everything was going good. I got the chicken pasta and ate about half of my pasta and got to around the bottom of the plate. I looked down and there was a big black hair stuck to the bottom of the plate. My daughter got the kids meal (grilled chicken & mashed potatoes) and found some kind of hard skin like thing in her mashed potatoes. It was clear and hard, we still have no idea what it is. The whole time we were sitting there eating, there was an older gentleman cleaning tables and such. My husband went to use the bathroom. In some places they put ice in the urinals for some reason. Well he watched the guy we seen busting tables dig his hand in the ice to flatten it out, with no gloves) and then just walked out. He didn't wash his hands or anything. We complained to our waitress about everything. She said since I ate half my pasta and my daughter ate almost all her potatoes that there was nothing she could do. I just don't understand how I was supposed to see the hair that was stuck to the bottom of my plate without eating anything. The nasty thing that was in my daughter's mashed potatoes was in the middle of her potatoes so how would we see it just by looking at it? I had the grilled chicken and shrimp dinner with rice and pineapple salsa. It was very good. The waitress was kind and patient, we had a large group and she was so friendly. My husband had the chicken tenders salad and he'd highly recommend it...the salad was fresh and tenders cooked well. We dine in today from 3pm today. Out of all the years we have visited this location, we have never received such poor service from our waitress. It took a long time for her to come to our table to get our drink order. They were not busy at all. When she finally came, we ordered our drinks and food. Some one else brought our appetizer and salads. We ask that waitress where our drinks and crossiants were, she replied she would let our waitress know. After we had finished our appetizer and salads, we still had no drinks or crossiants. Our food comes out, once again not by our waitress. Again we asked about our drinks and crossiants. Our waitress finally comes out we the crossiants saying she was sorry they just came out of the oven, which was a lie, we saw two other tables get their crossiants when their waiter came to get their drink order. Our waitress was quick to walk off when we was like ma'am can we get our drinks. She looked at our table saying I'm sorry, I will get them. Which seemed to take forever still, looked up and she was busy talking to another worker laughing and talking. Finally we get our drinks, which we requested lemon in our teas that we did not get, but at this point I wasn't asking for it cause I knew I wasn't getting that. My father asked for some cocktail sauce, the waitress was like sure I will get that for you, she never came back with the sauce. She was to busy laughing and talking in an empty area of tables from us with a couple of other workers. My dad wave to get her attention for her to come over, when she did, my father told her what poor service she was providing and how we have never had this experience before here. The waitress then got mad and all her response was "excuse me" My father told her he never did get his cocktail sauce, which she started arguing that he didn't ask for it. He then requested to speak to the manager which was one of the workers in the area where they had been laughing, talking and not taking care of their customers. She comes over to say that they had a busy lunch. Which is a poor excuse for a manager because they were not busy what so ever at that time. She treated us like we were in the wrong and never once apologize for the poor service. My dad requested the check at this point. BUT neither the manager or our waitress return to our table., they sent a different waiter. This was very poor customer service, and a sad way the manager was running the business. It's sad especially when you spend alot of money here. We will not be back and do not recommend this restaurant, if I could give a negative 5 for the service I would. read more

Had dinner with the family during the Christmas Break, but wasn't to impressed with the food! I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and assumed this would be a large bowl as found at other establishments, but i was mistaken. It was barely enough for me, and if it wasnt for the fact that i was able to sample some of my wife's meal (some kind of fish with shrimp) i would have left hungry. Both kids got kids meals, and they looked good, and had more than my pot pie! I was also disappointed that i had left my card with the server, and they didn't report it to my CC company, and it wasn't until the middle of the next day when im freaking out looking for it, that my wife calls to find out that it was left their. In my experience, the closing or opening manager should have at least reported it to the CC company who could have then called me.. read more

A huge let down. when they first opened in Alcoa I fell in love with the chicken fried steak ]. Now I will never order it again there. The coating is now like a pocket that it is put in and the breading (not coating) falls off when you cut it wait your knife. the inside looked like a pita pocket with no taste what so ever. Ate here on 2 May 2017. Had the Spasagna! A mix between spaghetti and lasagna and it was delicious! The meat sauce had too many onions for my taste, and one little onion is too much for me :) The potato skins appetizer was great, comes with ranch and sour cream.
