I like the BLT from this place. They premake some and put them in the store but I prefer a freshly made sandwich even though it takes longer for made to order food. The new self order kiosk takes some getting used to but the employees are willing to help if not too busy. This location offers a drive-thru or a self-service counter inside. The staff seemed to be friendly. The restaurant is located inside of a gas station, but has seating inside and outside. It is very modern and one of the nicest gas stations I've been in. The outside seating is across the parking lot and also features a small dog park. The idea of this restaurant is superb - food, fuel, and let the fur babies stretch from that car ride. I ordered "The local" and give it a 4 star rating. It's $10 and comes with a biscuit containing a chicken strip, slice of cheese, two slices of bacon, and some sausage gravy. - The slice of cheese is a bit overpowering as it has a very strong flavor. - The bacon has a smoked flavor and is almost a bit too strong; if you're trying it by itself the smoke flavor can burn your throat and you'll need something to drink. We were impressed by how clean the place is and how organized the ordering process is. We both had the egg and biscuit sandwich and the hash brown patties. The bacon was a slab of fat with barely any visible meat and the hash browns were completely soaked and dripping with oil. read more

This place has the best chicken tenders! Worst part it is within walking distance . The employees are super friendly and nice. I ordered two tenders and a side of pimento Mac and cheese. There were many sides to choose so I will be trying them all in the future. The prices were reasonable. They do also have breakfast in the morning as well. The chicken was fresh and the coating was amazingly crispy and delicious. The mac and cheese was cooked perfectly and the cheese sauce was very creamy. We will be back. We didn't realize this place was located in a gas station. We parked and after checking Calloways website, we decided it was going to be a good place to grab a bite to eat before dropping my husband off at the airport. We were a little baffled about what we were supposed to do, but after looking around, we saw a lighted up menu behind the counter, plus we saw a couple of kiosks to order our food. We had to ask for help since there was no one behind the counter to help. A very nice young woman helped us with ordering. We weren't the only ones who were a little confused. The prices seemed pretty high. I asked the young woman what was so good about the food because the prices were at a premium. She convinced me it was worth it, or maybe I convinced myself it was worth it! I decided to order the double hamburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, catsup and mustard. I thought for sure they would get my order correct because I had to punch a button for each item I wanted on my burger. A double hamburger meal with onion rings was $15.99, plus tax, AND A MEAL DOES NOT INCLUDE A BEVERAGE!!! That was another $1.99 for an extra large coke. So, a meal with a drink with tax was basically $20!! They advertised that everything is made from scratch. That's what convinced me to give this place a try. Well, that and the reviews! My fountain Coke was nicely carbonated, but the flavor was very diluted, almost tasteless, no sweetness to the soda. They need to fix their ratio of syrup to carbonated water. Very disappointing! The food was freshly made. Everything was hot. I liked that! I ate a couple of onion rings. They were a nice quality onion ring, but they sure didn't taste, nor did they look like they were made from scratch. Maybe they were, maybe they weren't. I think they weren't. I unwrapped my double hamburger meal. It was a bun with two thick patties. Where was the lettuce, tomato, onion, catsup, and mustard? I tried eating the burger, but after a couple of nibbles, I decided to ask for what was left off the burger. The meat was very dense and tasteless! It tasted like it had lots of fillers. Is that why it was heavy and dense? I ate several bites of the burger when I realized the it had mayo and pickles on it! I hate mayonnaise! I never ordered that! I must have gotten someone else's hamburger! I got up, went to the unmanned counter, and waited. After a couple of minutes, a guy asked if he could help me. I explained what happened. He asked me what I had ordered, and he went into the prep area to have my double hamburger remade. He even repeated what I had requested on the burger. After several minutes, he came out with my newly made burger in a to-go bag. I thought it felt lighter than my double hamburger, but figured I was just imagining it, after all, there's no way they could make ANOTHER mistake. By this time, I just wanted to go. We left, and when I got into our truck, I opened the bag, removed the burger and unwrapped it. It was a freaking single cheeseburger! Oh, by the way, my husband had a chicken wrap with a mildly hot buffalo sauce. He said it was good. I didn't get a whole lot of reaction from him, maybe because we were both focused on my hamburger. I'll say his wrap was pretty good, especially compared to my hamburger! Sorry, but I cannot give Calloway's more than two stars. Okay, I'll stretch it to three stars. No, I cannot do that either! 2.5 stars, and absolutely no more than that! We went there because of the reviews, and also because of their unique story. It was a big, big disappointment! They need someone behind the counter to help people order, and to answer questions. We weren't the only ones who had questions and needed help ordering. There were several employees that could have helped, but they were standing around in the prep area. Maybe they weren't allowed to provide customer service. I have no idea! My meal cost almost $20, with an added drink. Oh, and by the way, a meal at a fast food place always includes a drink! It's not a meal without a drink! And I have no idea how they justify the price of their double hamburger "meal." Sorry, we won't be back. read more

I ordered a Double Bacon Burger with FF. When the young lady brought me the order. They forgot to put my bacon on my burger. The order was 17.10 with tax. My FF was hot. I bit in to the burger and it was great. I didn't even say anything about the missing bacon... I don't why they wasn't busy... cause the Double burger was fire!!!!! read more

This place could not get our order right, at all. They charged us for 2 orders of fried pickles and forgot a order of fries and forgot our drinks and said the meals dont come with drinks when we ordered them with drinks. They also hired someone who done some outrageous things to animals. read more

Honestly this is the best fast food I've ever had. Their mac and cheese is divine, and, controversially, I think their chicken biscuits with the biscuits they make fresh each day are 100 times better than Chick-fil-A. I hope this location succeeds because it's so so good. I also like those they try to use locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. read more
