    Honey Butter Croissants

Came here for dinner on a Monday night and even though it was extremely crowded, we were seated right away. Our waitress was nice, but did not come around to us a lot, so the surface was very slow. It took a very long time for our food to come out, I would say longer than normal for a busy Monday evening. The croissants were delicious, and her food was very good as well. It was also extremely loud in the area of the restaurant that we were sitting in, and it got worse as our meal progressed.

Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5 5/5 on the honey butter croissants!! Recommended dishes- the grilled salmon Our steak came out a little under to how we liked it but they had no issues with making it right for us :) Noise level- easy to talk, family setting.

We were having an adventure in North Phoenix and it was past lunch so we decided to stop at Cheddar's because the parking lot was packed! (That's always a good sign.) We were greeted and seated immediately. Kiana was our waitress and she was very sweet, cheerful AND helpful as we made our selections for lunch. The food was fresh and delicious. I prefer my chicken a little more well done and it came exactly the way I like it. The portions were generous, and we each took a large serving home . Cheddars offers a honey croissant at the beginning of a meal ... which is an interesting twist and is delicious. A little like having dessert first The ambience was pleasant with plenty of space to move between tables. The chairs and tables were comfortable. Booths were an option. What we noticed was there was a lot of laughter among staff from the kitchen ... so they must enjoy each other and working together! We will definitely be back next time we're in the area .

Meatloaf & chicken fried steak weren't very good, nothing had any seasoning, taste like hospital food, meatloaf is really strange taste, salad was delicious & service was great Chicken fried steak was a lot of breading.

Good food. Love their sampler. The ceaser salad is yummy as well. They give you croissants as complementary. They are yummy.

One of my happy places! Great food at reasonable prices. Always great service too. It's a total win win for me and whenever in the area it's the place I want To go the most.

Went to this location last night. We have never been to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen and figured it would be a great place to dine for our 29th Wedding Anniversary. Parking lot was full but we did not wait long for a parking space. We thought this was a good sign. Seating was available despite the crowd. We visited this location around 4:30pm but they were busy. We were usher to a booth quickly but the seating was very narrow and quite uncomfortable (I'm built like an Offensive Lineman; tall and thick). There were no tables available with chairs. Despite being by in a booth next to a wall, it was a but noisy and was a challenge to hold a conversation at the table. Server was quick to the table. Being our first time and our anniversary, we informed our server as such and she provided some decent recommendations for appetizers. Our order: 1. Appetizer Trio (queso w/ chips, spinach dip, and cheddar fries with bacon); 2. Wife: 8oz Sirloin (Medium) with house salad (blue cheese dressing) and Broccoli Cheddar Casserole with Coke Zero. 3. Me: 8oz Sirloin (Medium) with sautéed mushrooms and onions, house salad (vinaigrette), and Broccoli Cheddar Casserole with Strawberry Lemonade/Water. Appetizers: served quickly. Quality was okay but not for the price. Was served hot but the queso was already coagulating on the top (nothing a good stir doesn't fix) as was the queso on the cheddar fries. House salads: served second with chilled fork. Salad was pleasantly crisp and chilled. Serving size of dressing was appropriate. Entree: did not take long to arrive (roughly 15-20 minutes). However, we were a but disappointed as my wife's sirloin was fatty with a huge tendon through it. It also was not cooked Medium as requested by Medium Rare (extremely bloody). The steak was hot as was her Broccoli Cheddar Casserole. Mine was very disappointing. My steak was cooked to Medium as requested but was not hot (more room temp) and my Broccoli Cheddar Casserole was cold. The sautéed mushrooms and onions were not served hot either. I even had my wife taste to confirm. We offered our feedback to our server (we never caught her name; we don't even remember her offering it). We were really disappointed to be told this location was having issues with back of house kitchen staff being consistent with quality of orders. Total bill: 67.34 plus $13.51 tip (we always give generously despite the level of service/quality of food) totaling $80.94. Overall satisfaction: food was mediocre at best, ambiance was "okay", but our Server was fast and friendly.

I stopped by with the family to have a yummy dinner, we were greeted right away and there was a little of a wait but not horrible! It was about 5 minutes or so, so that was great! I love the ambiance in here, love the fish tank they have in here! The service is always so great as well. Our server was super nice and attentive. I love their croissants they give as starters with the honey butter it is delicious! We also always start with the Wisconsin Cheese Bites with ranch and they home make their ranch I believe and it is soo soo good! I'm picky with my ranch and theirs is soo goooood! For my meal I got the Number 8 meal it is a chicken tender plate and I get mashed potatoes with brown gravy and buttered corn, yum! Then my mom got the 6 OZ fire grilled sirloin steak with mashed potatoes with brown gravy and buttered corn! Looked delicious! Then my son got a kids burger with french fries. My mom's friend got the beer battered fish with Shrimp with the loaded mashed potatoes and homemade queso and bacon french fries. Everything was yummy and smelt amazing!

First time here. Very nice. Fairly quiet. Croissant with sweet butter drizzle. We are here for deep fried Monte Cristo. I hear its the best around. Very friendly and attentive staff.

I'd love to give them a 5 star but I find it difficult when placed in a corner in the back of a restaurant that had ample seating. And wasn't busy. Furthermore food was fresh and good. The Buffalo chicken could've done without the hot ranch on the dish because dipping hot ranch into cool ranch just isn't it. The server was hot and cold on attention but it's to be expected from a establishment that I was warned "you'll get food poisoning and their servers are the absolute worst" At least he made sure my drinks were always full even if he didn't speak a word or mention who or what his name was

POT PIE! Delicious and the staff was very friendly

Do you guys serve actual food? Or just crap like all the other chains? The food here looks highly processed.

Pretty dumb question. You should probably just not go. With that attitude, you won't like it.

    Do you have happy hour?

As per the employees, there is no Happy Hour. However, there should be! They have a very nice bar area and I would consider coming back for a Happy Hour.

Just tried this place for dinner. Outstanding food and eating-in experience…read more Their KRISPY KRUNCHY FRIED CHICKEN is FAR better, MUCH more highly superior, to any of the other fried chicken chain outlets we've tried before. Cooked just right. Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. Excellent, fresh flavor! As it is prepared to order, expect about a 15 minute wait time for the chicken... but WELL worth that wait, as it turned out. Fries and Onion Rings sides were PERFECT, and tastier than most. Interesting, varied menu, too! Very generous portions... and the chicken pieces were real, actual sized pieces of chicken... not like the canary-sized tidbits served up by today's fried chicken chain outlets! Although the seating area was VERY small (store front operation,) the facilities were bright, clean and well maintained. The staff was welcoming, patient and most helpful as we worked our way through their surprisingly large, and varied menu! Reasonably priced, too! Overall... a happy find... and now one of our go-to favorites! Just wish they had a LOT more locations closer (to us!) Surprise/Sun City areas would benefit from having closer access to Outta Bronx sandwich/hot dog/wings/Krispy Krunchy chicken locations! I think it would catch on in no-time... assuming today's quality, and value, remained the same, of course. I'm, generally, hard to please... but Outta Bronx/Krispy Krunchy chicken seems to hit it on all cylinders! VERY pleased. Mark us down as huge fans!

Outta Bronx - A Very Disappointing Visit and an Even Worse Follow‑Up…read more We've been customers of this spot for some time, and up until now, the food has always been solid. Unfortunately, our latest experience was far from what we've come to expect. Our order was wrong from the start -- something we caught before leaving -- and we were told our food had been handed to another customer, so it had to be remade. Annoying, but understandable. The real issues showed up once we got home. The mac and cheese tasted stale and simply wasn't edible. The Reuben was another disappointment: barely any meat, what little there was had been overcooked, and the sandwich had almost no sauerkraut. When I flipped it over, I could literally see more toppings through the meat than actual meat. The only thing that resembled their usual quality was the chicken fingers. What pushed this experience from disappointing to unacceptable was the phone call I received from the owner, after I emailed their website to share what happened. My intention was to give them a chance to address the situation privately rather than jumping straight to a negative review. Instead, I spent nearly half an hour listening to the owner defend the food, insist the items we ordered weren't their "best sellers," and tell us to choose different items next time. They claimed nothing could be wrong with the food and that we should have just eaten it. They also said the mac and cheese wasn't their responsibility and told us to complain to Krispy Krunchy Chicken because they "just microwave" what they receive. When asked whether a replacement would resolve the issue, I said yes -- only for the owner to then accuse me of taking money from their family and saying they personally wouldn't complain about food they didn't like. I was told to just eat it and avoid ordering those items again. I have this all recorded. If you're going to ask whether a replacement would make things right, why turn it into an argument afterward? This could have been handled quickly and respectfully. Instead, I was told I was bothering them by emailing on a Friday night, and the entire call felt unnecessary and unprofessional. Calling a customer on a Friday night to argue is not how you keep loyal customers. After enjoying this place for some time, it's disappointing to see how poorly concerns are handled when something goes wrong. Update: I believe the response to this shows what I outlined above. I do not know this owner personally. I met them twice at the restaurant when getting my orders and both were good yet brief experiences. I also do not understand how there is fraud in contacting a restaurant, via their contact us email address, to inform them of issues you had with an order. Their call to me, in response to the email, was not a personal call and entirely business related. This simply shows that this is the type of response one can expect if they have any issues with their order.

Issue #1: no one took our order until 25 minutes after we arrived (yes, I kept track.). Issue #2: appetizer arrived at almost the same time as our main meal - 58 minutes after we arrived. Issue #3: I had to ask 2 different people and wait 10 minutes for a cup of ice for my water. Issue #4: my husband opened a bottle of ketchup to put some on his burger and the bottle literally exploded. Ketchup went everywhere. It was all over my husband's face and clothes. It was all over my clothes and arm and all through my hair. His burger was covered in an avalanche of ketchup. This is clearly not normal for a bottle of Ketchup. The server seemed baffled and was going to leave my husband with his meal that was drenched in Ketchup even after he asked her what would have caused the bottle to explode like that. I finally asked him if he was comfortable eating the food and she then offered to have it remade. Now the food: Burger (after being remade) was average. Chicken tenders were average. Mac and cheese and baked beans were not good. The positives: Loaded potato peels were delicious. Would definitely recommend those. Server kept my husband's soda refilled. The lady doing the bingo games was awesome. She played good music and had a good vibe with everyone in the room. I think (hope?) they were severely understaffed, hence the extreme wait times for service and food. All in all it took 2 full hours from when we got there to the time we were able to get our bill paid and leave. I cannot imagine wanting to return here unfortunately. The other patrons seemed to be having a good time with the bingo host as well. It seems this place does attract regulars but most seemed to just be drinking beer and eating onion rings. Maybe that's the way to go!
