Four friends joined me for lunch here today. We arrived at 11 when they opened and were seated in a roomy booth. We were greeted by a nice young man who brought us warm croissants and our drinks. All 5 of us ordered the chicken pot pie, and salad. No one was disappointed, the crust was great and the filling was hot and tasty! I really enjoyed the salad too, great blue cheese dressing. My family stopped in for lunch this past weekend while out shopping at the mall. We were sat right away which was nice and our server came right away to get our drinks and appetizers order. We opted to try the bacon cheese fries that are a special right now. The rest of the service was good (although we did have to wait quite a bit for water refills). My husband ordered the New Orleans pasta, one daughter got the chicken Alfredo with broccoli, the other daughter got the Bacon Cheese Burger and I opted for the Smokehouse Burger. The pastas were both good but sadly both burgers left a LOT to be desired. They were both burnt on the outside and tasted chemically and were extremely greasy (so much so that the bottom bun was soggy). All in all if we came back I would avoid the burgers. read more

I could not eat it I had the chicken fried steak. French fries. And broccoli The chicken fried steak was dry and the coating all fell off as soon as I cut into steak. Immediately the vibe here is welcoming. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The food is the second thrill! A variety of great choices and the food is always tasty, fresh and delivered quickly. After my most recent visit, I couldn't find my car keys and the staff really invested their time in helping me out. One staff person took the seating bench top off thoroughly searching. Keys were located and I appreciated their efforts. As I left, I noticed their bar/lounge area was very inviting and would like to experience that next time. I've been hearing about Cheddar's for quite a while and this week was great to try it out, my son had a birthday coming up so we did a family dinner here. We were greeted right away and seated within minutes. The location is easy to get to with a large parking lot. Inside is quite nice. Cozy and inviting. Our server came over right away and welcomed us. We ordered some drinks while we looked over the menu. We all tried different items. Our table had salmon, monte cristo, chicken fried chicken, steak and ribs and of course an order of chicken tenders for the picky ones lol. We chose chips and queso for our appetizer and enjoyed the complimentary honey butter croissants. There was definitely nothing left when we were done. Everything was delicious. Giving Cheddar's a five star with some improvement comments. Arrived after the lunch hour so the place was empty - we had it all to ourselves. Service was quick - we sat near the bar. The restaurant was clean (interior/exterior). The drinks were excellent...Arnold Palmer, Island Tiki, and the Coconut Pineapple Mule. That's right, I sampled them all. I ordered a Homemade Chicken Pot Pie to go. It was undercooked, so I did leave it in the oven a bit longer to ensure the crust was done. Delicious. In the restaurant, we were served the Honey Butter Croissants - good. As the appetizer, we had the Santa Fe Spinach Dip - excellent. My dining partner had the Fish & Chips w/fries. He said the oil needed to be changed in the fryer. I ordered the Monte Cristo with cole slaw. Unfortunately, it arrived with fries so I asked the for the slaw to go with the chicken pot pie. Sat at the bar. Ordered a vodka martini, that took 15 minutes. Then She made it with bitters why I don't know. She remade it with so much olive juice and vermouth it was undrinkable and I did not order it dirty so clearly she does not know how to make a martini. Ordered CFS with mashed and green beans. The CFS was tough but the flavor was good. Mashed potatoes and gravy were very good but the green beans were so over cooked and had so much sugar in them they were an inedible pile of mush. This place is a big NO for me. First time we went I got ribs they were overcooked and very dry. Second time was last night, thinking I would give them another chance, I ordered a ribeye and it was the toughest meat. It was thick but cooked incorrectly. I ordered it medium well so why did it come out bloody but super tough? I never in my life didn't finish a ribeye since it's my favorite. We were immediately greeted and sat at a table with four chairs, just like I asked. It was a solid 5 minutes if sitting before we were acknowledged. When our server did finally make it the table, she was very kind and apologized for our wait. I wanted a sandwich, but not any on their menu. So, I ordered the Wisconsin Cheese curds. Hubby had Chicken Pot Pie with the potato soup. He loved his soup. It was nice and thick how he likes it. The chicken pot pie looked amazing. The food is very tasty the service was not the best. Yesterday my group and I got there about 5pm we were seated immediately the restaurant was busy at this time. Our waitress greeted us quickly and got our drink order in right away, checked on us in the beginning a few times. Once our entire party arrived we ordered and that's where the restaurant or server began to struggle. My friend asked for dressing on the side for their salad after the wrong one was brought to the table it took a solid 10 minutes before the correct dressing would arrive. They forgot the sauces for the chicken tenders and drink refills were requested and never arrived. I would say a positive thing was the biscuits coming out warm and delicious. I enjoyed my Monte Cristo it was a savory sweet and salty taste, very filling I took half home. The strawberry lemonade was also very good but I didn't get my refill. I would probably go back and try another server. If I do and the service is better I'll move the rating up for them. The tables were small and not properly bussed. I struggled to have my meal on the table with my drink. 4 meals doesn't fit easily if they forget to take away the empty plates. read more

A friend and I brought 4 kids with us to grab lunch during spring break last week, all I can say is the food is fresh! The chicken in our wrap was so thick and juicy. Plenty to share between 2 women. Came here on a Saturday afternoon around 2:40pm. Only had to wait 20 minutes before our table was ready. We ordered the trio sampler and it took a while for it to come out. We were also given croissants, 1 for each person. The sampler was really good. It came with tenders, spinach dip, and queso. Our food order took a really long time to get to us. Our server had to check on it twice before we finally got our food. I had ordered the grilled salmon with 2 sides. I chose broccoli and baked potato. The plate only came with broccoli. When our server finally got around to us, I informed her of the missing baked potato and she went to check on it. Turns out, they ran out of baked potatoes! Totally surprised by that and also by the fact that the server wasn't informed and didn't ask me what I wanted as a substitute. We love Cheddar's and were so excited to see them building one in our neck of the woods! We visited today, on opening day, and were seated almost immediately and greeted by our croissant-bearing server, Aaron. Aaron took great care of us from start to finish! We started off with chips, salsa, and queso which tasted just like I remembered from when we would visit Cheddar's locations in my native Illinois. For my meal, I had the blackened shrimp alfredo, which I very much enjoyed! My mom ordered the Monte Cristo, which she also enjoyed. First off, the little table kiosks they make you use to pay are stupid. I'm come to a sit-down restaurant to have a dining experience. Those little things take away from that. Okay, service was nice. Our server didn't tell us her name, so I can't call her out. She was friendly and prompt. The food was so-so. I'm not sure what the difference is, but I got to a similar restaurant (Bubbas 33, for example) and the food is just better. But it was fine. I mean, I didn't walk away hungry. About the broccoli. What's with all the garlic? Yuck. Lighten it up, Frances. And please, make a smaller size sangria. I don't need to suck from a fish bowl as a grown adult. HIghly recommended for their family bundles. I married into a large family and we have a lot of get togethers. We have used Cheddar's twice now in the past 4 months. They aren't gluten free friendly, but if you can eat it all Cheddar's has a lot to offer. Reasonably priced and very very good! Their carrots alone are so yummy, along with their salmon, chicken tenders, coslaw, fries, mashed potatoes are just a few we have ordered. Comfort food at a great price.
