The food is ok, it's not amazing or even really good for an $18 burger with fries. Personal note, I NEVER want plastic wrapped cheese on my burger and that is what I got. Cheap American cheese Waitress asked if I wanted my burger medium, I said yes, and I got it well done. Tots were also ok. I drove out of my way to give it a try since someone commented Gordon Ramsey place and this being better...no, it's not. Seems like a really good sports bar with drink specials and the like. I'm going to add to the 5 star reviews for The Spot...their burger absolutely put them over the top. I had the good fortune to randomly come here on a Wednesday and get their burger special: a 22oz beer and a burger/fries for $16. It's an absolute steal! The burger I opted for was the Habeñero Cleanse, medium rare and a 22oz Tower IPA. The burger was absolutely prepared to perfection: juicy, spicy, amazing. The skinny fries were also solid and left me wanting more. And for the price, the beer is basically free. The atmosphere here feels informal and a little bland, but they've got plenty of TVs making it a better spot for sports than a date. At minimum, try The Spot on a Wednesday. This place is just awesome! I live much closer to the Scottsdale location, and was happy to try this location out too during Happy Hour. The atmosphere is minimalist, immaculate, and open. The bar is the centerpiece. If there was music, it was hardly noticeable. Several TVs hang from the ceiling above the bar. They were visible from the dining area. The menu is Hamburger-based, with other dishes. If you order a burger, you get to choose from three sides. One is salad with a choice of several dressings, including a lime/cilantro dressing, which is hot (taste, not temp). On some items you can choose beer., I will leave French Fries off this list so you can guess that they are third. The mini taco platter was generous. The shells were stuffed and covered in cheese and sauce. My Korean Chicken Barbeque Burger was well done, breaded, and very mildly spiced. Our waitress handled the group of about 15 people I was with smoothly. She really did a good job, submitting the orders to the kitchen in a timely fashion. This one gets a five. The service was as smooth and prompt as it could be. The menu has SEVERAL ITEMS, most of which were different from your ordinary restaurant fare, but none so far out as Blueberry Fries, or Vanilla Mustard Sundaes. You will have to go somewhere else for those. You do not have to go anywhere to notice that there is a Credit Card Surcharge and an 18% Large Party Surcharge. With those two surcharges, you can expect to pay 20% more than the prices on the menu. There is an equal negative surcharge on any star rating. It's one star for every ten percent. read more

We really enjoyed this place and wish it was closer to where we live. The bar is big and they have a large selection of ice cold beer. I had a cocktail and a cider. I like them both. My husband had beer which he liked. Our waitress was so friendly and so sweet. She talked with us for awhile about the restaurant and about the sports stuff on the walls. The regulars bring in stuff from teams they like. I joked I was going to bring in Packer and Brewer stuff (we're from WI) they have a Chicago flags outside. As far as food we had curds we really like them but I think they need to be severed on paper. The grease pooled on the plate and the got soggy. We ate most of them. We also got an order of wings half BBQ and half dry rub... I love wings and try them a lot. I think this rub is the best I EVER had and the wings were perfect cooked. This is the neighborhood family place I miss from back east. A simple menu with a nice variety of starters, entrees and deserts. My garlic shrimp was an Asian delight with egg, protein and noodles added. The desert was so good. A butter cake warm and so moist with strawberries and mandarin oranges. We've driven past this place countless times and finally stopped in for dinner. Right away, the interior felt overly bright, almost blindingly so. The layout leaned heavily on high-top bar tables with tall stools, which I find pretty uncomfortable for a full meal. Now, onto the food, which was the highlight. We started with the fried green beans as an appetizer. They were tasty with good seasoning, but came out way too greasy. For the mains, I went with the Spot Burger. It was a solid choice: juicy patty with great flavor and a generous size. My only real complaint is the bun, it was too soft and thin to stand up to all the juices, so it started falling apart halfway through. A sturdier option would make it even better. My girlfriend ordered the Fungi Burger, loaded with mushrooms and melted cheese. It was cooked perfectly for her and was absolutely delicious, we both agreed it was a winner. The service stood out: even though the place was packed, our server was prompt, friendly, and on top of everything. The biggest downside? The prices. Two burgers, a basket of fried green beans, and two soft drinks came to $75 after tip. That's steep for what are essentially two hamburgers and a side, especially in this area. Overall: Good food and service, but the lighting, seating, and cost keep me from rushing back. I'd return for the burgers if they dialed back the pricing a bit. read more

We started with the truffle fries which came out barely warm, mostly cold, and were pretty sub par. They also have a chicken pastor sandwich that is on a poster at the door, but is not on the menu. The steak sandwich was tender l, and the pastor was a flavorful as you'd imagine. The burrito is big and the chicken inside is tender and tasty. They do a custom blend of beef for their patties on site, and the burgers are juicy. The truffle fries are wonderful and not just overcooked shoestring potatoes. I had a Bacon Bleu, and the flavors were balanced well enough that nothing overwhelms. Minor achievement considering how easily bleu cheese can blast away everything else. My server/bartender Jason explained the different meats that went into making the burger. I should have listened better, but the taste shows the care they put into that burger. It is exactly what you would want from a neighborhood grill. It was early 1125a and quiet. Plenty of TVs if you Need that. I saw that on Thursdays they have a good looking Strip Steak for $25.00 with mashed potatoes and green beans . I'll plan on a Thursday meal there for that. We had attended a very long conference nearby with two out of state friends and needed quiet and food. Came upon this place because it was close and we wanted meat. We were NOT looking for a sports bar atmosphere, but were too hungry to look elsewhere. Inside was a large well lit bar, live music guitar/singer, and lots of screens with games. We chose the outdoor patio to be away from the potential noise and busyness of a bar because our brains were fried. Happily, there were many open tables available. We chose the furthest away from indoors to avoid noise. We had a very friendly server (nice young man) who made great menu suggestions, as we had never been before. We were all very impressed and satisfied with our choices. The quality of food was way better than what we expected, the pricing was on point making it a great value! Turns out the bar atmosphere was busy but never got too loud. The entertainer inside was fabulous and we even enjoyed his singing/playing from where we sat outside. The dynamite sauce was delicious but the green beans were bland and lacked flavor. There was no salt and pepper on the table so the struggle was real. We shared a Spot burger and Buttered Buffalo chicken wings. For a place with few customers, the food was not hot. The burger and wings were both good -- just nothing that stood out from any other burger place. The fries were good, but again not hot at all. On our last day in AZ, we went to The Spot Neighborhood so we could enjoy bar food and watch the football game. The server was friendly, promptly gave us menus and brought us water. We had Scottsdale blonde lager that was refreshing and light, so good. We split chicken wings (buffalo, garlic and honey bbq) appetizer. The wings were crispy, flavorful and not overdue greasy. Our favorite were the buffalo and bbq. The hubby and I split the jalapeño burger, it was generous portion, the meat juicy and well seasoned. The kiddo had salmon burger served with tots, soft pillowy inside and crispy on the outside. Our server was attentive and helpful. Literally cold to the touch. Dry burger with not much flavor. Ordered truffle fries but not sure I got those after looking at the fries in the photos on Yelp after the fact. I wonder if I was charged $6 for truffle but didn't get them. Freezer burned or stale was my first thought while eating them. And also....is the kitchen just like the basement level on Next Level Chef? If I go back I will order something completely different. Sorry. I actually don't enjoy giving bad reviews.
