We ordered Bean and Cheese Chimichangas with rice and beans. We brought the rice and beans home and just ate the Chimi's. Super big portions. Fried to perfection. Crispy, Delicious, served with guac and sour cream. We also had an ice cold bottle of dos equis amber. Ice cold iced tea. It's so fun at Bibiano's, traditional Mexican American decor. A group of us came here for dinner. We had made a phone reservation but the place was surprisingly sparse of patrons for a holiday weekend night. Upon arriving and being greeted we waited an inordinate amount of time to be seated. Chips and salsa were delivered to a large table but we were never told that was our table. So we just went and sat down. Apparently it was our table (?) Strange. We were given menus which were quite worn out, but at least clear enough, and we ordered drinks. Most of us had blended House Margaritas. They came in a beer glass which also was peculiar, but the Margarita was good. The menu leaned toward seafood, which frankly I wouldn't order here. I chose the Carne Asada dinner which came with the usual beans, rice, cheese, large grilled pepper, etc., and I got flour tortillas with it The meat was quite good and the meal as one would expect in this type of Mexican food restaurant. Portions were large. The service was fine. I wouldn't call it overly friendly. Overall the food was good, typical run of the mill fare, yet overall the experience was nothing special. My son has performance training in the plaza, so I decided to walk over and give this place a try -- and I wasn't disappointed! I ordered the albóndigas, and it was delicious. The meatballs were tender, and the broth with cabbage, carrots, and rice was full of flavor. It's hard to find good Mexican food in this area, but this spot is definitely a hit for me. The chips and salsa were great, and the iced tea was nice and refreshing. The place is clean and welcoming, and the service was excellent -- I was greeted right away and seated quickly. Just okay. I am always looking for new Mexican food restaurants to try. I found Bibiano's on Yelp and the food photos did look good, so we thought we'd giv'em a try. There is plenty of open parking, so that was a good start. The ambiance of the restaurant was interesting. The tall angled ceiling looked Aztek inspired to me. After entering, we were immediately seated and asked for drink orders. We were treated well and the owner was cheerful and attentive throughout the visit. I wanted to try their Chile Relleno (I always do). So I ordered that and and Enchilada. My wife ordered a Beef Taco, Tostada and Enchilada. The biggest disappointment for me was that the food was just warm, not hot. I did not care for the spices in the ground beef taco and was not crazy about the Chile Relleno either. It was cooked omelette style which I'm not crazy about and the Chile did not have that great smokey Chile flavor, like it came out of a can. I did however like the sauce that they pored on top of it. The Tostada was good and so was the Enchilada. Had the Enchilada been more than just warm (in temperature), it would have been better. The beans and rice were good as well. This is a cute little place with what appears to be a caring owner. And to be fair, Mexican food is very subjective and just depends on the individual. We came in for breakfast and lunch. Have always liked this place as they have great food and service but not today. I ordered a large bowl of albondegas and my wife order breakfast. 40 minutes and nothing has been served to us, I asked the server if it's not to late I'm canceling my order because we can't wait any longer she said it's ready now. Five more minutes and nothing and went to the register to pay for my soda and told her I can't wait any longer. To bad as I like the food here but a hour to get food with only three others in the restaurant and they got their food about 5 minutes after we got there and they where done eating and I've were still waiting for our food read more

We were visiting from out of town and our hosts took us here for a Mexican dinner. Upon entering we saw a sign posted that their AC was not working. We were shown to a table in front of a blasting fan that was being used to chill down the place in 101 degree weather. The waitress seemed frazzled. We were a party of 6. We got 2 small baskets of corn ships half filled, that disappeared quickly. We had to ask for more after a bit, but seems it was done so begrudgingly. They came with 2 salsas, one sweet and one spicy. I prefer the sweet. I got the chili rellenos and rice, no beans. It was good, but almost NO cheese inside as expected. Others had chicken tacos and steak tacos, and burritos. They were happy with their meal. The highlight was the huge Mexican pizza that one had ordered and shared and still had leftovers to take home. I was almost blown over to Scottsdale with the air blasting directly on me from this temporary cooler. I did feel so sorry for the cooks in the back with no AC! They must have been sweating profusely with all the appliances turned on. All in all, we had a good time, but it was hard to carry on a conversation around the table with this large blowing fan rattling away 2 feet away. I feel for these people. My Sister-in-law, wife, and I stopped in for lunch after a doctor's appointment. Quaint inside, a little outdated, but clean. Service, was a little slow, from being greeted to the check. However, the food was fantastic. My sister-in-law and I had a built your own burrito and my wife had the Chimichanga. They were so big, they took half home for another meal. We then had just enough room for some sopapillas and they were light, fluffy, and covered with powered sugar. My wife is allergic to cinnamon, we asked for it and honey on the side. Bibiano's is close to home with very good food at reasonable prices, so I'll quote my buddy Arnold and say "I'll be back." read more

This is another family restaurant. The services good, but I would sit towards the left side of the dining room because the server on the right side of the restaurant is loud. Tuesday nights are the best deal for the shredded beef tacos al and margaritas, but the food has gone down hill, and the sauce taste canned. When we arrived they said we can sit where we want, we waited at our table for quite some time just to be greeted then our server said welcome, I'll be back, brought chips and salsa not long after greeting, green sauce was delicious, red sauce was as well. We waited for a long time to server to take our orders. My wife ordered the rolled taco plate, she said they were the best she ever had. I ordered the soft taco plate that shows the pico on it, they charged me for the pico, why! It came with it, the chicken in it was so tuff I couldn't eat it, I did also order a tostada which I loved, but you can't really go wrong with those, the shell was very good. My wife ordered the 99 cent margarita and was charged 6.99 for it which we did quest it and he did give us 5.00 out of His pocket so he didn't have to ring it up a 3rd time, make sure you check your bill good before you pay. he was always rushing away before we can ask for something, we recieved our dinners but waited 10 minutes for utensils. Bibiano's has been recommend to me numberous times. While looking for a restaurant, our children requested Mexican food. We decided it was time to give Bibiano's a try. Super service. Signs indicated, and they verbally told us that they were short staffed. They still did an excellent job of checking in on us. Due to the short staffing, it did take a little longer for the food to come out. Our server topped off our drinks, refilled our chips and salsa, and kept us abreast of what was happening. All with a pleasant attitude. We didn't mind the wait. On top of the chips and salsa, my children particularly enjoyed the ground beef tacos and rice. Their chicken tacos are well stuffed, and flavorful. I was there for the kids and wasn't really eating, but did enjoy the guacamole. Avocado used was fresh and creamy. They thought the cheese enchiladas with green sauce were okay. There is a 4% charge for using one's credit card. A notice is printed at the bottom of the receipt. read more

Went to Bibianos tonight for dinner arrive at 6 pm had a short wait. They have a sign outside to please be patient they are short staffed. We sit down and the wait is on after 5 or so minutes a server comes over to ask us if he can get us drinks a soda a tea and two waters. He puts them down and leaves. About 5 minutes later he brings us chips and salsa. We eat those he comes over to take our order. A couple Chimichangas, make your own burrito and three enchiladas and a spicy bean dip. We also asked for more chips. After about 20 minutes he brings out the chips then immediately after the entrees. We eat he comes over to ask if everything is ok about half way through and we asked about the dip. Apparently it was forgotten. At the end of the meal he brings out the bean dip. We were done eating. Our drink cups sat there empty. Another extended period of time I get up to fill my own iced tea (nobody else got a refill). He finally stops by to make sure everything is ok. I ask for two boxes. He said two boxes and a cup, referring to the dip. I said no two boxes that came out at the end and we don't want it. He brought two boxes and left. A few minutes later he brought the check. Meanwhile a large party sat down so he focused on them and a new two top behind us. I finally sent the men out to the car so he could see we were ready. He walked by the table at least three times ignoring us completely. I finally took the bill up to the bar and cashed out. I did not realize that they charge to use a credit or debit card u til the end of the meal, a convenience fee of 4%. The salsa is watering and the hot is basic hot sauce. The food is salty. The chips are made fresh. The refried beans were a hit the rice is average. Cheese enchiladas , carne asada burrito meh, carne asada chimi nothing to write home about, shredded beef chimi average. A side of guacamole is the size of a cookie dough scooper. I would be ok with it if the guacamole actually added something to the meal Our waiter was personable when we did get to see him, which was not enough. He was too busy sitting at other tables talking to those customers. Why in the world do we use paper copies of menus (this in and of itself is fine), but stained with who knows what? They are copies make some new ones and trash the dirty ones please. Overall impression, not good enough to have me come back for more. read more

This is my second time at Bibiano's and I was disappointed by the one of the staff member's attitude. Upon requesting a table they told us we couldn't bring outside drinks in, we had just purchased our coffee from a shop down the street. I asked the waitress to double check and if it really wasn't okay then we would get going. The waitress was very kind, she went off to ask someone who seemed to be a manager or possible owner and she said they could make and exception. We were seated and the whole area was cute and clean. Very well decorated and the music was perfect for Mother's Day. Our waitress was patient and attentive and would check on us and the surrounding tables often. We ordered and our food came out hot and freshly made. I ordered the chilaquiles and they were still crunchy when I got them. They were very spicy, which I love! My boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak special and it was so good too! During our meal we saw the lady (tall, hair up, glasses and blue polo shirt. who could possibly be the manager or owner) go around all the tables talking to everyone. Every single table. Except ours. I found it strange but then thought, could it be because of the "exception" they made for us to bring in our outside drinks? If so, then maybe instead of her getting attitude over it she should've told us no. Thanks to our waitress, a young girl with braces and beautiful lashes, we had a great meal and left full and happy! My husband and I just purchased a home in Sun City, So when we brought our daughter to see the house, we decided to go out and celebrate our birthdays. We saw this Mexican restaurant close to our new house, so we wanted to give it a try. I wish I could say that we had a better experience. It wasn't horrible but it could have been better. Our initial opinion was formed after we asked our server if we could order off the lunch menu which ended at 3 o'clock. It was exactly 3:05p at that time. Our server replied "No, the lunch menu ends at 3pm. We felt this was a little unreasonable as we had already been sitting In the booth for at least 5 minutes before she came over and talked to us. The food was pretty good, and definitely not the reason for my 3 star review. Although they restaurant décor was cute and decorated with bright colors, the ambience just seemed off. Our server wasn't very friendly nor very efficient. Since we will be living close to this restaurant I'm sure we will give it another try and I'm hoping that I'll be able to upgrade this review! read more

Darnit. The three of us wanted so badly to love this place. But it fell short for us. Service? Hurried and disinterested. Margaritas? Pre-made and syrupy and no tequila. I mean - none. I think it was just the tequilla mix! I ordered an ala carte chile relleno with both red and green and a ground beef taco: my classic order that serves as a barometer for any mexican restaurant. One thing I noticed is our food didn't come out immediately, which is a good sign that hopefully that the entrée is made to order? My relleno was obviously hand-battered (!) and came to me bubbly and browned from being under a salamander broiler which was a pleasant surprise, but alas, both red and green sauces were tasteless; my taco was a pre-made taco shell and the ground beef was ok, simply seasoned with salt (not much pepper). I never mind ground beef that's seasoned simply as it's pretty traditional. But I get turned off by restaurants that don't make their own taco shells . I mean, even I know how to fry a corn tortilla when making tacos at home! All 3 of us were simply underwhelmed by our meals. We liked the ambience of the interior, but the food, sadly, won't bring us back. Not for using an app. The food was plain and not appealing. They prefer phone in orders, if dining out. Our in dining experience was very good, the food was fresh and hot, and they had great customer care and service, and the ambiance was traditional. When picking up our yelp on line order, the cashier said they did not use the service and did not know that name on the order. Although, our order was ready and sitting on the pick-up counter? The second time was not the charm. Ever try to eat a drippy, wet burrito in the car or anywhere? This burrito was haunted by the watery addition of sour cream or pico de gallo. After seeing this place recommended on facebook, I decided to give it a try. Their website is clunky and wouldn't let me order online, so I drove over there. Except the address on their website is not their address. I pulled them up on my GPS and drove over to where they REALLY are. I got the Green Chili Chimichanga. Very good green chili flavor, but the meat was chewy and tough. I'll have to go back and try something else. Maybe chicken. I've been to Bibianos maybe a 1/2 dozen times in the last year. Food has always been good. This last visit, I had the street tacos, I chose 1 each, carne, carnitas, and adobada and they were delicious. My lady had the rolled chicken tacos, she said they were a little dry but good. My sis had her go to, cheese enchiladas, as usual they hit the spot. Only con is sometimes the service is a bit slow. I don't blame the servers, they seem busy, but it seems they could use maybe 1 more to even things out. Knowing that I would still go back. The street tacos are my new favorite when eating there.
